Wow! First, smaller (not tiny) restaurant with a bright and intimate seating area and bar. Great view of the beach, clean settings, and good drinks.Then, the food, OH my word. Two of my friends recommended this restaurant. One said that it's their favorite in Galveston, so going there I had high expectations. Nevertheless, the food and the service exceeded my expectations. It's hard to say whether Charli's service made the great food exceptional or this great food makes her job easier, since there's no way of giving "bad" recommendations. Food was great and service was top notch. I got the BLVD sampler and the bread pudding. The scallops on the sampler were amazing. I also had the Blackberry Smash and the Irish Julep off their spring menu. The spirits really shined thru in the cocktails and they were really good. Would definitely come back again if I was in town.Dietary restrictions: There were a few gluten free options available on the menu for those that require it. The BLVD sampler was GF.
