Just walked out of the place with a full stomach and wanting to take a nap- with some take out to spare. Mediterranean is usually a hit or miss with me but my partner had it before and liked it so we came. NO REGRETS!!! We had three dishes that we split between the two of us. First time trying Egyptian food and I can honestly say I was not disappointed. The sweet woman who took our order and served us was kind enough to suggest the top favorites that were also featured in the Dallas observer. We got two dishes. The Koshari plate which was a pasta based dish was absolutely flavorful and filling. The red sauce is spicy and adds a very nice kick to it! You guys. The food at Mabrooka is AMAZING. I've had most of the things on the menu so allow me to break it down for ya. Koshari - carbs on carbs on carbs on carbs and sooooo satisfying Hawawshi - super simple but really tasty. spiced ground beef in pita bread and grilled(?)
