I still had to drive 20 minutes back home and my food was steaming hot. “I ate catfish from Famous O's today in Rowlett. I love catfish. I have eaten catfish all my life. I've had grilled catfish, deep and pan fried catfish, blackened catfish, broiled catfish, and baked catfish. I've had decent catfish, I've had good catfish, I've even had really great fabulous catfish. But until today, I've never had the best catfish I've ever tasted in my life! It was fried to perfection and served with some well fried French fries, Texas toast, and the best tartar sauce ever. Some hot cayenne sauce was also included.The proprietors are very friendly and everything was impeccably cooked fresh on site. All I can add is Wow, how did you do that!“

“Stopped by for lunch while I was working. My food was made fresh when I ordered it. It was seasoned well, and the lady that took my order was very friendly. The fish was fried nice and crisp, some the fries were a little too crisp, and in not really sure the nuggets were catfish, but I could be wrong. All in all, it tasted good, and I'll try other menu items the next time I'm in the area“

“I liked the steam little neck clams with lemongrass. There was plenty of liquid in it so it looked more like soup, but I didnot mind since there were a lot of fresh lemongrass. I brought home the leftover broth.My daughter and I didnot like the heavy taste of mayo under the cheese on the baked oysters with cheese. The oyster II ate has sand in it. The oysters my daughter ate were good.We also had scallop fried rice. It was all right.I don't recommend the scallop soup since it was mainly a lot of liquid.Customer service was superb. We were given a 15%discount that the restaurant is running at the moment though we didnot know. We came in near their happy hours. 4pm-7pm, mon thru fri.“

“Last weekend my family and I came out for my sister’s birthday and it was by far the best overall birthday dinner experience. Jmac was our sever and he was absolutely fantastic. He so patient with my folks especially when it came time to ordering. He knew the menu for sure which helped so much with my grand parents. Even though he was busy with his other tables he managed to take great care of us making my family and I feel special especially my sister! Once in passing and the other to celebrate a bday ?Both times we were among the less than 10 people there.The bday visit... it was like we had the restaurant to our selves. The seating location was perfect.We ordered different dishes, different appetizers and we were not disappointed. The food was authentic and served warm to the touch.The service was great and our tip reflected great service.We live quite a distance from Garland but will definitely visit again in the future.“
“I absolutely love the crawfish here! I am from New Orleans and this place definitely reminds me of home! Make sure to call first before going because sometimes they do run out fast. The hush puppies are soooo delicious, even my kid loves them. I love how the food is always hot and fresh here. If there is any issues the staff does their best to correct it.“
