“Fantastic Local place that is off the beaten path. They serve traditional american items such as Hamburgers, Chicken Fried Steak, Club Sandwich, Salads, Etc. There is something on the menu for everyone.As of 2020, up until today 12/13/2021 they are only serving to-go orders. And while I miss eating inside the restaurant, the food is as good as ever.They also have household items like Milk, Eggs Butter, Bread, etc if you happened to have forgotten while you were in town.“
“So on Christmas Eve day we decided to grab breakfast and the only option where we were in Henderson TX was Dennys so we figured we would give it a shot.!! Ordered the French toast slam it was fabulous! The brioche bread was cooked to perfection and not soggy in the middle which is always so frustrating for me when I order French toast.. the eggs were cooked exactly how I ordered and the bacon was hot and crisp.. we also ordered scrambled eggs, hashed browns, biscuits and gravy - we forgot we were at Dennys as the food tasted like it came from my mommas kitchen.They have a big menu with photos and lots of variety .. a new create your own breakfast which we ordered from and the prices were very good.This Restaurant is clean and The service was fantastic, we were seated promptly and greeted by the cutest little elder lady .. I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is good here and they even have a wonderful large convenience store attached with so many little gifts and finds..So if ever in the area don't be afraid to give them a try!“
“Our server was Lori & she was excellent. The prices have gone up & portions smaller. My chicken fried chicken was more like a quail and cost $14. We also had meatloaf & it was a good size. Iced tea 3.29 that's too much. Rolls so good.“

“I’ve been going to Herschel’s since it first opened up in Mt pleasant. My dad built that first parking lot over 40 plus years ago. Other than, a disrespectful young girl that I had words in Henderson with, it’s been completely pleasant place! I’ll continue to patronize Herschel’s. Hi Bill! ? Bill is the brother to one of my friends and she worked for me for a while. We went to church with Bill (regional manager) and Mr Tom (he owned or held stock in the company). He and my in-laws were good friends. These are the reasons that it is a has a special place in my heart! Thanks for all the good memories, great friendships and great service.“
