“Wonderful coffee, fresh pizza, the cutest outdoor atmosphere in a quiet little town. Definitely a great place to relax and grab a pizza with my kiddos.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly! The courtyard is clean, very spacious and definitely a great place for kiddos to spend time while parents grab a quick coffee. The owner is super kid friendly too which is a plus!”
“We went for the first time today and were very impressed! It was the first time I ever loved every wine I tried at a tasting! It will have to be for special occasions because it a tad pricey (only $28 and $32 for most) since we usually share an entire bottle most nights! Shhhh! We will be enjoying this for Valentine’s Day and buying it again for sure!”
“My eggplant parmigiana was home made perfect. This is a no-frills, old style café with genuine Italian heritage somewhere. In a growing town where you can easily spend $50 for a good meal at one of the two or three really fancy-schnancie places in town, it's nice to know you can get your gourmet in with a $9.95 dish as good as anywhere in Italy! The bread is right out of the oven and light as a feather - although nobody offered butter or olive oil and garlic with it. The salad was plenty big, very fresh, if a little unimaginative. The atmosphere is small town typical with taxi yellow walls and painting prints from a Motel 6 garage sale, but clean as a pin and pleasant. Oh, and the waitress could be Miss Texas. So it's a win win.”
“I'm a local. I've been to lunch several times. Fish & chips, chicken & dumplings, butterflied pork chop & Mahi. And their bread pudding convinced my buddy who didn't even like it. Cleaned the plate. ”
“The breakfast burrito was huge, and delicious! Had ours with bacon, pico, and cheese. Large, homemade tortilla stuffed with eggs and our choices. Their spicy hot sauce was just perfect. It’s a food truck, but shade to eat in the car.”
“Awesome place to stop in while passing through, don’t be concerned by the fact that it shares a building with a gas station, food is incredible especially the beans. Must eat in Hico”
“OMGF “1 magnificently great food”, this place has set the bar for cuisine. Our whole party was absolutely astonished at the flavors experienced in our dishes. Watch out DFW your in the cross hairs and this chef Eric is going to bag y’all. Every bite was a true masterpiece of deliciousness! The sides were no where disappointing. And the desert had everyone at the table’s eyes crossed. Not only my recommendation but the critics at my table placed this as one of the best meals they’ve ever experienced. On another note was our waitress LouAnne, not only very professional and intuitive but she was so much fun especially being in her Right mind wink wink. The best part it was reasonable in price.”
“Cute place! The bathroom had a bit of a door lock issue, and the paper towels had run out, but the drinks were affordable and good. We had a cold brew with vanilla and cream and a chai latte. Zucchini bread was yummy! They had outdoor seating with swings and tables, and the indoor area was very spacious. It used to be an old house. They even had a small area with toys for kids to play. Didn't get pictures because it was a quick stop.”
“On my work trips, I typically stop here for one (or two) of their amazing spicy Boudain Klobasniks. They are incredible. Staff is always friendly and ready to help. A favorite for road trips.”
“6 wings1 Bee Sting PizzaJohn David (Jon?), greeted me. We chatted. Good people. Drove home and munched on two wings in the car and a slice. Delicious. I don’t support unneeded hyperbole, and these were the best wings (to my preferred style) I’ve had. If you like roasted garlic, no breading, lightly fried skin, sizable and no fat, and Parmesan sprinkled at the end, hello? Great on their own. No sauce needed. They throw in a couple regardless, your choice. A kiss of their spicy ranch puts you on the right path.As for the pizza: six stone fired slices. Perfect char on the thin crust, hot honey, basil, quality sausage, cherry tomato halves, etc. Praise be. My last-minute pick up order and Jon (John?) David’s interpersonal skills and the Smith’s playing in the restaurant sealed the deal. Customer for my new Texas life. Give her a shot.”
“We came here after church and it wasn't busy at all. We got seated right away and decided to try the buffet. They had rice and beans, enchiladas, tamales, chicken fajitas, taco meat, flautas, and menudo! Menudo on the buffet! All the fixings; lime, cilantro, pico, lettuce, 2 types of cheese, 3 different salsas, chips, fresh fruit, and dessert! All for under 35 for 2!”
“If you like pickled onions the brisket tacos are to die for!!! The rest of my party got the mixed nachos and said they were the best they had ever had. Service was friendly.”
“This little place we stopped at while traveling has really good food. The service was very good. Oh and the homemade pies are very tasty! We will be back next time we travel south.”
“Very reliable, good food, and friendly staff. However sometimes they mess up the order but I don't blame them. Overall, good fast food.Parking: Good parking spaces all around the place, but if you don't want to stay and eat, you can always use the drive through.”
“Eis, is a great little sandwich shop they also have salad and a good assortment of Icecream from a small ice creamery in Plano. The service is super fast and the people are super friendly. We always stop and eat at Eis when we are going through Hico. Very cute town with lots of character”
