“Anvil is, without a doubt, my favorite cocktail bar. And that's not just within Houston. The consistent quality of their cocktails is simply unrivaled. They have a rotating selection of featured cocktails, but half the time I order from their list of 100 classics because they craft them to near-perfection (sometimes perfection, if I'm being honest). Yesterday, I tried a new one containing shōchū, reposado tequila, and black sesame... my adjectives wouldn't do justice to the simple elegance and brilliance of that cocktail. They don't offer happy hour nor outdoor seating. There are probably ~15-20 seats at the bar and then 8-12 booths along the windows, each of which fits 4-5 people. The bartenders are always amazing, their knowledge of the craft is impressive. At the end of the day, Anvil isn't trying to rope you in with trendy fads nor great deals. But I suspect you'll be back for a return visit, because they're serving the highest-quality cocktails in town“
“The brewed tea tasted great. It will be suggested to reduce the sweetness; I liked to go with 30% sweetness. The team members were friendly. The establishment looked clean and cool.Parking: Several stores and restaurants sharing the same parking lot.“
“I have an extensive list of coffee shops on my "must try" and Oso has definitely been on my list. I got up early this morning and decided to swing by for a coffee with a friend. The location is very small but extremely inviting. The inside can sit maybe 10-15 people and there is some outdoor seating available. I could see this place getting packed pretty quickly. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. While we already had breakfast prior to arriving we were pleasantly surprised they offered a breakfast menu. We both had the horchata latte and a concha. We really enjoyed the horchata latte was really good, super excited to try more drinks! This might be my new regular!“
“We enjoyed our Strawberry Breeze drink and LOVED the milk foam cake Strawberry Princess! The cake was so light and not overly sweet and the strawberries were fresh. Nice little spot for a quick treat! They had a pretty decent amount of seating and there was seating outside as well. Service was not great. We weren't greeted when we came in so we just ordered from the kiosk and was not asked if we needed assistance after standing there a while. But it really didn't disrupt our experience. We were able to track our order and received text when order was ready. I would definitely recommend and would come back if I was ever in the area again!“
“we just moved here from north jersey and we were craving a taste of home. We figured we wouldn’t be able get a real new york style $1 slice but just wanted something to hit the spot. i’m so glad we found mony’s! the pizza was amazing, perfect cheese to sauce ratio and a delicious thin crust. we ordered pick up but the inside of the restaurant is so cute we plan on eating in next time. staff was so nice, and this was an all around great experience. we will definitely be coming back!!!“
“The service and food are top-notch. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner. She was telling me all about the desserts and made some excellent recommendations on which ones to try. It's a family owned and family run business. I highly recommend giving them a try.“
“The best coffee in Downtown. I am here so so often. Call me a regular. I walk to here. I live on their great coffee (Mayan, cafe Ole..) and their bean tamale with plantain chips. Their Mexican cups are so cool and the place is comfy. Shawn who works there is great, single and sexy. ??“
“Omgoodness , I ordered a matcha latte here and it was the bomb Dot com. Daniel took my order and made me a delicious Matcha latte with a hint of oat milk. It was so warm and satisfying, I will forever order this if he makes it. Love this place!“
“My recent visit to Mo' Better Brews offered a mixed experience regarding their vegan offerings. While the menu provides all vegan options, I noticed that most of the food appeared unhealthy due to being fried and overly greasy. Although the portions were generous, the excessive oiliness overshadowed the flavors and enjoyment. On the positive side, the ambiance was cozy, and the staff was kind and friendly. However, as someone who appreciates variety and healthier alternatives, the lack of options in that regard may limit the menu's overall appeal.“
“Probably one of my favorite coffee shops around the area!! Everytime i go, i get welcomed and i like this place cus it offers different varieties of drinks besides caffeine so if you are not a coffee fan they also have other type of drinksss!!!“
“This is legit the best vegan bakery I have ever been to in my life. Every single thing they make is uniquely designed and delicious- more tasty than any vegan pastries I have ever had. It doesn’t even matter what flavor it is or type of pastry, everything tastes amazing. If I had thousands of dollars to donate to something, it would be this place.“
“A cozy hole in the wall local Coffee Shop, what more could you ask for? The building itself has kept good preservation. Upon entry the bookcases and plants are esthetically pleasing to the eye. The music gave the place a modern vibe. I ordered the peach lemonade as it was a bit humid outside and I wanted something to help refresh me. The young ladies behind the counter were great at helping me choose a drink. Prompt service and a decent crowd for a midweek, mid stop. I would most definitely come back again.“
“This place is great. The people that own It and run it are incredibly nice people. The meats are high quality and the bread is superb. We ordered 20 banh mi for a party. She has everything all together when we picked it up. Nicely wrapped and labeled. Everyone at the party loved the banh mi. It was the best that some of them had ever had. Mayo was spot on. meats had good flavor. The do chua has a crunch and tang that you want. All the flavors went well together. Try it out.“
“I've been meaning to write this review for a while but have put it off for one reason or another. Le'Drip is dripping with flavor and style. I like the ambience of the small cafe. Weekends look pretty packed with lots of young folks enjoying their weekend but weekdays seem more relaxed with all the youngsters in school. There's not a lot of room but enough for you to comfortably sit and visit. The music playing in there is trendy. I heard a Chris Stapleton song once while waiting for my order. The staff is very nice, helpful and polite. I always appreciate great customer service. The drinks are very good. I don't find many places that get ca phê trứng (Egg Coffee) right, especially iced. Le'Drip impressed me with their version. I thoroughly enjoyed the stout Vietnamese coffee taste. In my opinion whether ca phê sữa đá or otherwise, the coffee has to be legit and strong or it throws everything else off. If you want a sweeter coffee try Bác Xíu (White Coffee), which is much sweeter. The ca phê trứng however was exceptional compared to others I've tried recently. On a whim, I tried the Soursop Thai Tea. It's good but too sweet for me. If sweetness is your weakness, by all means, you may love this drink. Le'Drip has impressed me so far and I'll return to try other drinks in the future.“
“We went as a large group: two families meeting part way and neither from the area. It was wonderful to be able to have options for our dairy free and gluten free family. Not only did we have options but the food was very good. We had so many things : pizza, pasta, egg roll, plantain nachos, and yucca fries. We were a little loud (6 kids under 10) but the service was kind and patient -- even when one spilled a full glass of water . They even took a picture of us as a group and made sure my boys were smiling. Overall --- great food, excellent service and overall good experience . We hope to make it back there if we ever are in town again !“
“Had this place late lastnight for the first time…. Had I not Had a meeting I woiodve Had again for the lunch the shaken beef and the shrimp spring rolls and he fried rice 10/10 ! High recommend. Hit the pregnancy craving out the park The service better than most restaurants. Such a lovely staff!“
“This spot is a staple of mine when visiting Houston, reminds me a lot of the LA/Austin coffee scene with pleasant vibes. Stays open until midnight and as a cancer patient their CBD/HHC gummies are full spectrum CBD and full transparency it helps so much with my pain. I’ve tried about most of the things on the menu and do my best to visit when they release the newly curated seasonal menu. The points system is amazing and easy to use, they reward their frequent clients well so it is too easy to return. Customer service is excellent and I even celebrated my “cancer birthday” here with friends from Austin. They loved it “
“We came here for breakfast. The cashier and food server were very friendly and polite. The busser was also very nice. The food was delicious. However, as we were finishing up I wanted to refill my coffee right as the restaurant experienced a big rush. There was only one coffee urn for the “bottomless cup” and it was being refilled. I waited several minutes for it to fill as a coffee line formed behind me. In college I worked in the service industry and know how to put the spout back into a coffee urn so I asked a busser if I could. He said he’d go get the manager to help. I didn’t want to wait even longer and the restaurant was packed, so I put it back together myself. I should have just waited, I know. As I did that the manager came out and I nicely and politely told her that I’d already put it back together. I guess she didn’t listen or didn’t hear me because she told me to sharply to give her a second and she’d give us more coffee. I told her, again nicely and politely, that it’s already full. She turned around and literally gave me a look like she wanted to kill me. The lady next to us was surprised too. Through gritted teeth she said, “Like I said, let me get my bearings and we will get you more coffee” in a seething voice. I was a little shaken. She was so incredibly rude. I understand that I should have just waited, but there should have been several coffee urns available and we’d already waited. I’ve been busy and flustered before and I worked in the service industry in college. Even when busy and annoyed, I never spoke to a customer rudely, much less with pure vitriol in my voice and expression. I can’t imagine how she treats the employees. All the other employees were nice and the food was good so that’s why they get four stars. If it weren’t for that run in with the manager over poorly stocked bottomless coffee on a Saturday morning then I would have given five.“
“Loved the vibes inside! When we first came in on a Saturday night it was quiet and peaceful. A large group later joined and quickly killed it though. Had it not been for that group, it would have been an intimate setting for a long catch up. Food is a bit pricey but it is aesthetically amazing! Be prepared to spend $$ but also be impressed!“
“I love this place! It's incredibly convenient since it's right by my house and the coffee is really good. During the holiday season, they add the cutest little sprinkles for a festive touch! I have also tried their teas which are good as well. My favorite dish has to be the bacon egg and cheese danish - you will not regret ordering it. The drive thru is pretty fast if you're in a crunch and they also do discounts for first responders/nurses (if you have your ID) which is nice!“
“Great coffee shop with a few drinks that are unique to them, at least in this area. The Cuban in particular is great! The food tastes really good but because they are a smaller shop there isn't a large variety of it. Definitely worth the stop!Parking: Parking is around the back and shared with the automotive company next door. I've never had an issue finding a spot.“
“This is a chill place and helps me put myself back into my happy spot. The coffee is fantastic and the pastries are just delicious, especially the pumpkin empanada. I love the outside back patio and I tend to meet new people here, I love meeting, new people ?“
“Love this coffee shop so much! You can definitely tell the owner spent time and energy on the design and the coffee bean they offer when you walk in. Every detail is so delicate and well-designed. They use beautiful bottles and even champaign glass for The coffee. Good tea, beautiful dessert, and friendly owner.Note: Parking lots is very limited, so make sure you carpool if you come in a group. Highly recommended and I will come back again soon!Parking: Around 10 or less slots“
“I love Slowpokes, the Spring Branch location has my heart. The vibes here are immaculate and the staff are extremely friendly. A few of note are L, Irlanda, and David. They’ve always greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome. Also, the food is delicious! The sweet staff in the back always put together such yummy bites. I can’t rave enough about this place and always recommend it to my friends. I quickly became a regular here and I’ll be so sad if I ever have to move away!“
“Cozy coffee shop with a delightful staff that was warm, welcoming, and engaging. They have a fantastic vibe with a variety of different drink choices, from your classic espresso drinks to a host of international choices, from café de olla cold brew, to taro cold brew (pictured here), to an upcoming summer ube latte. They also have cocktails and other non-coffee alcoholic options like beer, cider, and wine available that I’ll return to try. They have plenty of bar seating around the espresso bar as well as against the windows, as well as a couple of couches.I immediately wanted to come back.Parking: Probably a dozen parking spots“
“The Ramadan iftar at Ayintap Mediterranean Grill was absolutely splendid! The food was exquisite, and the ambiance was incredibly serene. The staff were courteous and attentive, making our evening truly enjoyable. Bulent Chef went above and beyond by personally preparing and serving me the spicy kebab from the menu in a mild, non-spicy version. It was a thoughtful gesture that made my dining experience at Ayintap Mediterranean Grill truly exceptional. I appreciated the extra attention to my preferences. Had a wonderful time with my wife. Can't wait to return for more culinary delights!“
“I got the breakfast sandwich with sausage on broiche bread. I did not like it at all, but the employee at the front, very sweet lady, immediately gave me the option to get another dish. I ended up getting the Mediterranean crepe and it was AMAZING. Thank you so much :)“
“Steven was our server today and by far this has been the best service I have had in a while. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and had awesome recommendations. We felt like we’ve known him for a while just from our conversations. He made sure we had everything we needed and we never had to search for him. 10/10 would recommend him when you come dine“
“Amazing service and amazing drinks!! I come here often and I am never disappointed! The wide variety of delicious drinks has me always trying something new. Definitely my favorite place to get boba in all of Houston. The staff is always super friendly as well. Love this place!! 5/5!!“
“Came here for a Saturday brunch and there was surprisingly no wait, we were seated quickly and attended too quickly. The place is huge with plenty of seating inside and out. The vibe is fresh and clean. The waitress was super attentive and nice and welcoming. The drinks did take a bit to come out but the food was very fast which surprised us lol everything was delicious and fresh. Definitely recommend.“
“Cozy and is inside cool shipping container building. I stumbled upon this when I was out up in Houston for an event from my boyfriend and didn't want to go to Starbucks. They are very pet friendly with my cat and let me stay to work while enjoying their drink and atmosphere. I have ordered the Ferro rocher coffee and was surprised that the medium was in a large cup! It tasted delicious. I'm not sure when I will be back since I don't live in Houston, but it is a cute mom and pop shop. Support local businesses!“
“This is a hidden gem. The table touches made by Tommy the owner is unmatched. He definitely makes everyone in the building feel like family. He is beyond measure. Make sure you order a signature drink. Ambience is top notch. Drinks are fantastic. Don’t miss out on this “
“A great place to study and get work done! Fairly quiet environment with lots of natural sunlight and plenty of seating. Service was extremely fast and we got our drinks within minutes. I tried the honey lavender latte and iced honey rose matcha latte. Highly recommend either drink!“
“Active Passion Coffee is my absolute favorite spot! Seriously, I can't get enough. The vibe is so welcoming, and the food? Oh my goodness. You HAVE to try their Kimchi Grilled Cheese with a fried egg and bacon – it's out of this world. And get this: they make their own kimchi in-house. How cool is that?Their coffee? Let's just say I'm addicted. And the staff? They're like old friends, always there with a smile and ready to chat. Whether you're popping in for a quick pick-me-up or settling in for a lazy brunch, this place nails it. Trust me, you won't regret it. Five stars all the way!“
“Love their Daily Black coffee, always super rich without milk and sugar. Had their bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich and loved the addition of the avocado! Service was awesome! They’re so nice and they took my empty place freeing up table space before I thought of getting up which was awesome! Look forward to every visit!Parking: Parking is in the back but luckily not packed“
“Hands-down, my favorite coffee shop in Houston. All of the baristas are literally so sweet and care so much about you having a perfect experience. We went in on a Sunday afternoon and we were easily able to find a seat—which I’ve never experienced at any other Houston coffee shop but they literally have so much space and seating it’s lovely. I had both the Pistachio Matcha Latte and Nutella Crepe and both were phenomenal. Will absolutely be returning.“
“Coco is a staple for us in midtown. The crepes, paninis, pastries, and gelato are all sublime. They make great coffee/espresso drinks as well. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The outdoor seating is plentiful and the ambient music is enjoyable but not distracting. Recommend the savory crepes - my favorite is the Mediterranean crepe.“
“Stepping into Nguyen Kitchen, we were immediately struck by the freshness and flavor of every dish. The menu was a celebration of authentic Vietnamese cuisine, with each dish showcasing the perfect balance of spices and textures. Despite our attempts to capture the meal in photos, they simply don’t do justice to the vibrant flavors and colors we experienced. The service was remarkably quick and friendly, adding to the overall exceptional dining experience. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are outstanding, making this restaurant a true gem.For anyone looking for genuine Vietnamese flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. Our visit was memorable, and I can tell you this is definitely the best Viet restaurant in Houston.“
“There is something incredibly soothing about being at The Path of Tea—the relaxing music, the fountain, the friendly staff—I immediately feel a sense of ease when I visit. The tea options are endless and high quality. Picking my own mug from the wall is one of my favorite parts of the experience.Highly recommend this place for writing, reading or just sitting to enjoy some amazing tea.“
“Came here a while back with a friend, and we had a great time! The vibe here is super chill, and it seems like a nice place to study or just hang out. I ordered the taro milk tea, and we also split the cookie butter toast. Both were tasty! We would definitely come back.“
“In addition to the incredible bbq, the breakfast tacos are the best in town. The green and red chorizo are made in house and super flavorful. Add potatoes and cheese and you won’t want other breakfast tacos. The flour tortillas are clearly house made, paper thin (nearly transparent), do not fall apart when filled to capacity, perfect.Kid-friendliness: There are toys for kids.“
“First time eating here. Food was fresh and delicious. So much flavorBut their coffee was amazing. Industrial like restaurant, very relaxing ambience. Great place to hang out. With indoor and outdoor seating tables. Will definitely be coming back.“
“By far one of the best local coffee bars I’ve had the pleasure of finding. The vibes are very relaxed and eclectic. The coffee was very smooth. Not highly acidic. Bottom line Great coffee! Even better human being who service you.Dietary restrictions: They have vegan options“
“Cambrian Coffee is not really particularly close to my house & only sort of close to my son's school but I still head over there as often as I can. The coffee is great! I usually order a latte with one of the true to flavor syrups. The atmosphere is fun & eclectic and service is always perfectly friendly. But what really keeps me returning are the sausage rolls! The UK/Canadian style sausage rolls with flaky pastry & perfectly seasoned sausage are mouthwateringly good & pair perfectly with the delicious coffee. Really, go try them! The only issue I ever have is fighting the urge to order more than one!“
“Great spot! Good quality and quantity of food for the price! We got the burrata, avocado toast, a cortado, and ice match latte. The flavor of both was fantastic and surprisingly deep for a coffee shop.It was so good we didn’t even take pics, and I forgot about my cortado for a sec.The only down side is there no soy milk for the matcha latte. Still recommend 10/10Parking: Shared parking with other businesses but easy enough to find“
“I visited this place thinking It was just a coffee shop. Turns out they have the best coffee beans from around the WORLD and they do. Since this is one of my guilty pleasures I can certify it. My favorite so far is the Colombian one.It has beautiful decor and music, the whole vibe is so inviting. The staff is so nice and kind! They offer complementary drinks so you get to know their great work.“
“Nice neighborhood coffee shop with games and a lot of neat decor to look at. Very relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. They have game events here, even seen a birthday party held here. We love their coffee drinks and pastries. Especially their matcha latte and oat milk latte, so good. Their online ordering through their website is easy and quick, and our orders are always ready on time. Only wish they had any other Gluten-free options besides the brownie. Glad to see smaller coffee shops like this doing well in our area!“
“This place is an amazing coffee shop! The place has an awesome aesthetic and the merch is really cool too. Next time I come I will be trying a different coffee but I tried the black 2.0 and the fit fuel. They each had great flavor.Way better than Starbucks! Also cheaper! The cost was very affordable. They had chairs, tables, couches, and the view was nice.If you're looking for a chill place to do a little bit of work it's significantly quieter than a Starbucks too. They also sell their coffee in the pods or ground bags or beans right there in the store!Parking: Parking lot all around it's easy to find spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: There's handicap parking and wheelchair ramps.“
“The food was amazing, the service is also amazing they are very nice and welcoming. The ambiance was good as well. He gave us free donut holes that tasted amazing as well, you must try the kolaches they are so good! Overall this place is amazing and I plan on coming back and buying more!“
“Was in Houston for a few days and so glad I found this place! They curate their coffee beans from all over the world and have an extensive range of coffee/tea drinks to choose from. The espresso I had both days was extremely balanced and very smooth so I imagine their espresso based drinks are excellent. They had a very robust pour over selection as well I will certainly be trying next time. There was a wide range of pastry and food offerings that spanned a variety of options from sweet or savory toasts, to burritos and even an interesting Australian sausage roll. The menu had a ton of things I would have loved to try without being overly complex or excessive. I went for the avocado toast which was executed very well! Finally the atmosphere rounded out my fantastic experience. It felt contemporary and cozy without being stuffy a place Im sure many people hang out to work or chat. Huge windows let in plenty of light at all times of the day.No need to go anywhere else when you’re in Houston and in need a unique coffee experience or need a quick bit to eat!“
