“we just moved here from north jersey and we were craving a taste of home. We figured we wouldn’t be able get a real new york style $1 slice but just wanted something to hit the spot. i’m so glad we found mony’s! the pizza was amazing, perfect cheese to sauce ratio and a delicious thin crust. we ordered pick up but the inside of the restaurant is so cute we plan on eating in next time. staff was so nice, and this was an all around great experience. we will definitely be coming back!!!“
“This might be the best pizza I have ate in Houston yet. The crust is golden and beautiful, not burnt. Perfectly can fold a single slice. Something I wish other pizza places could get right. Slices are huge, all you need is one. Reminds me of a better version of the Vitos out in West Hollywood I used to go to. I'll stick with this place for Pizza. ?“
“Speaking of someone was visited the majority of the food cities in Italy very recently I was very surprised and satisfied by the authenticity that Impero Italiano had even the stuff was originally Italian or Italian American replace, had excellent gelato tiramisu, and a wonderful Baba au rum I highly recommend it to anybody looking to have a real feel of what Italian food will taste like it is not an oversauced or overhyped place it is legitimateI wish i had taken pictures but i was so excited that i forgot“
“First time customer but not the last visit! Ordered two nice drinks the Hugo and a beer, $6 since it was HH. Ordered the OG and Diavolo pizzas both were good, although I liked hubby's better (the OG). The Diavolo was spicy good! Tiramisu was nice ending to the meal. Parking in back, service awesome! Can't wait to try it again.“
“Really great ambiance, attentive service, cocktails, and very modestly priced Italian food. Would go back and recommend! The service had the white glove feel without the cost. For example, welcome glass of Brut, fresh shaved cheese and fresh cracked pepper for pastas, and cleansing warm towelette at the end.“
“Tried the Dream Catcher and Margarita pizzas at Gypsy Poet—both delicious! Friendly staff, speedy service, and lively ambiance with great music. Parking is on the street which is not too hard to find. A delightful pizza experience overall.“
“The decor hasn't changed much at all since this was Black's Market a few years ago, which is to say it's very well kept and comfortable if a bit noisy. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to. I shared a pepperoni pizza with a friend, so nothing fancy. Lots of good choices available on the menu though. Pizza was solid. I think it's hard to make a bad pizza... but I had an enjoyable experience and would gladly visit again.“
“Boyfriend and i decided to finally try. Even though it was slow we was still positively greeted by the manger and lady behinds the counter. We got the bone in and bone out combo with waffle fries. The sauces we tried was chipotle bbq and mild lemon pepper. Tried the food while driving and almost burnt my tongue in a good way lol. Fresh af and the flavors was delicious. We will be back to try other items and flavors.“
“I don't even know where to begin for this place. I was driving around town to where I would treat myself for brunch and wanted pizza. I came across Elro and decided to try it out. They have parking across the street that's free with plenty of space. When I walked in, I kinda felt like I was Alice in Wonderland chasing the hare!! The wallpaper and decor was everything!!! I was immediately greeted by a warm smile from one of the staff named Purity she is fabulous! I sat down on a bench sort of area with a perfect amount of natural light. I was immediately made to feel comfortable. I regretted not bringing my book that I had just purchased from Kindred Stories... but that's for another review. It's an open kitchen concept. I love watching the artistry of food prep! Since I was treating myself, I tried something from each of the menu sections and got great suggestions. The spicy cucumbers are so refreshingly crisp and tasty, the Snapper crudo with mango puree was perfect, the mushroom pizza was like a mini orgasm in my mouth... smokey shiitakes the perfect amount of sauce and the cheese with olive oil drizzle atop and just the right amount of rosemary... I'm drooling yall. The 10th Avenue drink was pretty potent yet refreshing. I may be a lightweight, or it was strong. I had maybe 1/4th of the drink, and I was buzzed. I finished off with the Tira-Miso, which was an interesting spin to the tiramisu light and crispy with an umami taste. I loved how I felt after leaving since I wasn't rolling out of the place overstuffed. I will definitely be coming back and recommend yall try 12/10!“
“One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and probably the best in Houston. They have a cute vibe in both restaurant locations, food is always fresh and delicious and good wine selection. My only complaint is the hours of operation! I can never make it over there to eat because they have such short operating hours. Please consider opening longer to accommodate more customers.“
“#JoeFoodTour the new TPDC is a quirky neighborhood gastropub complete with unusual drinks like the holiday Boogie boys (tasted like a chocolate almond joy, Makers mark based). Even the fusion Hallo-mas,Christmasween decorations give you insight to the fun atmosphere. Super cool to have this in up and coming Northside village. #HowdyFromHouston #ThePropertyJoes #LivingLifeInHouston #Northside #EdisonAndPatton“
“i don’t think this place is talked about enough, their food is actually IMMACULATE! also way better when you dine in than order out.Everything came out piping hot and full of flavors. Their drink choices are kinda expensive, almost $5 for a bottled coke was crazy but food is yummmm“
“I've been wanting to come here for a while. So glad I finally decided to stop by. First, service is great. All the staff was very attentive and our food came out quickly and hot. We had the wings, spicy goat pizza, pork belly, fish and chips, and burger. Everything was delicious and the portions are very generous. The fish and chips are made with flounder and the batter was nice and crispy, not greasy at all. The wings were top notch. Very juicy and very well seasoned. These are sold be the pound and the pound is about 6 wings. The burger was very juicy and the fries were nice and crispy. The star of the show was the pizza. Goat cheese and the habanero glaze go together so well. The dough is top notch. Sourdough that is left to set for 72 hours. Dry and crunchy! The pork belly is very well done as well. Not too rich, nice and balanced. For dessert we had the bread pudding with ice cream. Very good as well. Lots of creative drinks as well. We were all left thoroughly impressed and can't wait to come back. Also, parking is available right across the street.Parking: Across the street“
“Went back here for the first time in about a year and it was such a charmed and wonderful experience. Unique and fun twists on dishes that still feel classically Italian. Beautiful outdoor seating area that feels equal parts causal and upscale while also being private and lively at the same time. Fantastic service. Beautiful design. Perfectly nails unpretentious upscale. Lovely lovely lovely.“
“I have to say that I love the food at this place ?, I usually always order takeout, but I had the opportunity to go to the place and I was even more delighted. You have to try the Nutella pizza, one of my favorites. Our waitress, Vicky, gave us excellent ? service. We will be back soon .“
“Good restaurant. We enjoyed our dinner here - good food, service, and vibe. We got a variety of dishes and they were all decent but the ones that stood out have asterisks below. Wish their tomato sauce was a little bolder in flavor. The bread basket and olives at the beginning was ok - not the best in town. The lychee mocktail was ok - wouldn’t get it again- Fritto Misto - fried calamari*- Truffle Pasta*- Spaghetti Pomodoro- Gnocchi- Branzino alla Griglia- Mango Cheesecake- Pistachio Tiramisu*“
“Really delicious Pizza! The ambience is pretty casual but food was top notch. We had garlic bread and Chicago sausage as appetizers the carne trio pizza was probably the tastiest pizza I have had in years. The crust was perfect. Had a nice glass of Chianti too.“
“In love with this spot! In town with friends and came here and just died. So well designed and decorated. The pizza and drinks were fantastic, with lots of variety within the menu for different preferences. The service was a bit slow and a few order mistakes were made, but they were slammed so it was totally understandable. Would definitely recommend!“
“I love Italian and pasta so I alway look for an authentic place and this one is it! The staff were great and Basil was awesome! The food was light and not heavy. Will try again and recommend to others! Give it a go for yourself.Parking: Plenty of parking spotsKid-friendliness: Yes!“
“If you are looking to eat good, nice and cheap food, this is definitely the place. Pizza service is fast. The food is of good quality and at a good price, the portions are large. It is not an elegant restaurant, it is an urban pizzeria with a good vibe and very busy.I would definitely return.Vegetarian options: Cheese pizza, cheese fingers, spinach and cheese lasagna, potatoes,“
“I drove all the way from north cypress to come here because of the Prez’s video about this place. The way the owner came out and talked to the Prez is exactly how he talked to me and treated me. They treat you like family. Pizza is just as much about the people and their story as it is about the pizza.I asked the owner what he would get if he were ordering and he said plain cheese. I asked for it well done because I like a little bit of a crispier bite. It was the best pizza I’ve had in years, and I had to wait 30 minutes to drive home before trying it.It wasn’t over cooked. The dough and cheese was the perfect amount of salty. It had a satisfying crunch. I’ve always been a pepperoni guy but I think this has converted me to a cheese only guy.“
“To say this was an outstanding restaurant experience is an understatement. The restaurant is unique, superbly designed, decorated and welcoming. The service was superb and our lobster pizza, preceded by steak tartare was excellent. Jan and I will be back soon.....“
“I have been eating at Tony's Pizza for over a decade. The food is fresh, and the value is amazing. But I enjoy the accessibility of the owner as he works the pizza dough as you enter the shop. Yo siempre me siento en casa cuando cómo en este joya localizada en JV.“
“Came in for a Togo order. I have been wanting to try this spot and I’m so glad I did! I got a medium Hawaiian and 6 Buffalo wings. The pizza is perfect! Not greasy or too salty. The dough is cooked perfectly. I like that the crust isn’t too big. The Buffalo wings are really good too. It’s the basic Buffalo sauce that I like. They’re not trying to do anything crazy, which I appreciate. They also put extra sauce on the bottom. I could be wrong, but the ranch tasted home made and was really good. Waited about 15 min for my food.Over all this hit the spot and I’ll be back to try more things.“
“The customer service here is amazing :)They were totally slammed when we came in and let us know that ahead of time (which is GREAT for setting expectations) we ordered and said we had no issues waiting. It was still super fast in my opinion? But they were so so kind and thanked us for our patience and the pizza was FIRE (very yummy!). Our first time ordering from here. Tried the tikka masala pizza so good! I will gladly be coming back to try their other pizzas. Thank you so much for your kindness, great customer service, and yummy food!!Update/Edit:March 11, 2024We have been coming to Ashays for 2 years now although we moved further away! The food is just sooooo good you guys. The family who owns and works here are so sweet and friendly. My husband and I are big Ashay's Pizza fans haha. We will continue to come here as long as we live in the area :) I HIGHLY recommend you try every one of their pizza flavors.“
“Crust Pizza is a wonderful combination of a dine-in / take-out pizza joint and a trendy sports pub with an outstanding selection of beers on tap.My first experience with Crust was to stop by and order two of their combo pizzas for take-out. Expecting my order to take at least 15 minutes, I wondered over to the pub side of the joint to enjoy a refreshing cold brew. I was only about half way through my beverage, comfortably relaxed at the bar, and enjoying the sports offering on the three large overhead screens, when my pizzas arrived. It couldn't have been much more than 10 minutes after I ordered them.I see that they have a half-price spe which I will definitely take advantage of. But the food, the beer selection, the service, and the atmosphere mer many repeat visits on the other days of the week as well.“
“The food is always good here. I had their snapper with a delicious garlic sauce. Beryl was nice and accomodated for a kosher needs. My only issue was the lack of fans and/or incence to push any fruit flies out the door with strong winds and strong natural antifly aromas like lavender or eukalyptus. The artsy bartender Beryl liked the “My Fair Lady” movie, so maybe she can improve her bar and her band name from “Psychodelic Maggot Engine” to “Psychodelic Fan Engines” to blast any flies away while reciting “The Rains in Spain” from the bar. Most restaurants suffer from fans blasting any outside insects, which is normal in a tropical jungle like Houston. Once they get those fans fixed and I can enjoy the food that I ordered without any disturbance, then I can honestly give the place a 5-Star. Some places have terrible food, so fans nor extra hygenic practices cannot save it. This place can be “My Fair Lady” improved to 5-Star with some extra hygenic steps to complement the high quality food and friendly staff. Real friends always listen and provide good feedback.“
“Good option in Tanglewood, you have the option to make online reservations but we went on a Friday night in 04 people and were seated right away.Fast service overall, however I was a bit disappointed by the food... it is not bad but I think I was expecting a bit more on the pizzas.I will be back to eat the pasta and update my review.“
“I’ve been here numerous times for happy hours and they have great specials. I brought my family here when they were visiting in town and they all loved it. They even had a local brewery there that day giving out free drinks to visitors as well which just added to the fun. The food never disappoints and there is always a good view of a TV.“
“Let me just say AMAZING restaurant in my opinion.Me my wife and my sister love coming here for dinner on special occasions. We love the food is so delicious and has great flavor. They serve really good portions and i can say that i can eat and it is satisfying. We always order the P. Bolognese, the gnocchi is to die for and the pepperoni pizza is sooooo good.Let me just say it is a small place but hey great food non the less. And yeah parking is limited and might be full at times but nowadays what lots aren’t.We love the drinks as well the paloma zero proof and the bellini peach drink is delicious ?Staff is great polite attentive and great attitude and service will keep coming back wish there was more occasions.Celebrated my sis 18th Bday and they gave a great dessert with happy birthday written outThank you NUMERO 28“
“Best Pizza !!! The food is great the service is excellent the atmosphere is friendly they treat you like family the vibes is like going to your grandparents kitchen in Italy for real I’ll eat they BBQ Chicken pizza 7 days a week with a smile ??? di place 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣? di ting ?“
“Stopped by to check this place out late at night close to midnight and We loved this pizzeria the pizza was fresh and with lots of cheese. The service was awesome the guy in the front desk was so attentive and had an awesome attitude. Next time we come back to Houston we will definitely be stopping by again.“
“At The beginning the service was great, but then when our food was coming in, they took away our herbs and oil. Once I was done with my food, I asked if I may have it to go, the waiter was super nice, but I asked if she may put me some bread with the dip and she with no hesitation said yes, when I left, there was no bread nor the oil. If you were going to charge me extra, I did not mind paying. Don’t say you’re gonna do something and you don’t awesome. I did feel like we were being very pushed out as in hurry up and leave I will not be going to this location again.“
“I have been to every place in Houston that sells pizza that’s worth going to and this one has the best pizza hands down. The dough is fantastic, crispy and chewy. Sauce is tangy and robust. Nice ratio of cheese. Very impressed as I wasn’t expecting it be so good. Definitely a hidden gem in the East End.“
“Great food, great service, wines are reasonably priced. There is a $12 corkage fee if you bring your own. Only minor annoyance, and it's something they have no control over, is if you're seating outside there is a very active freight railroad track right next to the building. Some might be annoyed.“
“Yum yum yummy. This place was so good. I stopped by here on the way back home and I was very satisfied. I ordered a large pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. My kids and I couldn’t even finish the pizza and that’s such a shock because we never get full off one pizza EVER. Everything tasted so fresh and the spaghetti was so good that I literally ate the sauce lol. Our waiter was extremely nice and friendly. I went to the restroom with one of my kiddos, and when I came back, he had already served the ones that were ready to eat. I thought that was so sweet and thoughtful and I LOVE anytime someone goes the extra mile. I will definitely return when I’m in town.“
“Frank took great care of our dinner group of 30 guests. His staff kept the food coming and there was very little waiting. We had chopped salad served family style, garlic bread with marinara, sausage and a variety of pizzas, veggie, pepperoni, meat lovers all.pared with wine and a selection of beers and soda. Not a fancy place just good quality food..Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian options including breads, salads, cheese pizza , veggie pizza and pasta.Romanos will fresh cook most items and can leave out meat from most dishes.Parking: Lots of parking in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly family pizza placeWheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible ramps, seating and restrooms“
“As visitors, we did not know Houston had a Home Slice! We originally tried it in Austin and were craving it so badly that we almost contemplated driving to Austin until we realized this location was open and available. Atmosphere is great, food is great and I love the patio seating outside. There are table sizes for small-large parties and they had complimentary water in a container outside. Definitely recommend!“
“The food is great. Order pizza, I’m sure you should order it without any doubt. The cheese is so good, the sauce is flavourful but just a tad bit spicy coming from someone who doesn’t like spicy. But I still love. It’s only a little bit spicy. You know what I’m probably over exaggerating but let’s continue. The place is super cool with many pictures and is very interesting. Anyway you should totally come here it’s my favourite pizza place out of all pizza places. SLAY YALL“
“Absolutely love BellaGreen! A plethora of options; especially healthy ones! The pizza is AMAZING! So delicious! Ingredients taste so fresh! I enjoy eating here for multiple different food options!Vegetarian options: A multitude of vegetarian options!Dietary restrictions: Great for dietary options!“
“This is, by far, in my humble opinion , the very best pizza restaurant in the entire Greater Houston Area; I have dined here w/ my family , since 1975; I came her when I was a very young child! It was always a great place to have the pizza oil toss you the dough!! And, their buttered pasta is to die for!! I miss this place , b/ c we had to leave Houston, TX for medical reasons, but can only TEMU is the , “Good old days”! MyDear father has passed away, but I was fortunate enough to bring my dear sweet husband there, so he knows my high standard of what I mean whenever I say , “Let’s get some good pizza !” I can’t recommend this place enough; if I could move it to where we are ( Morgan Hill, CA) ; I would!!“
“I love the pizza. We had the drago, topped with one of their in house hot sauces. There is a full bar with specialty drinks that were out of this world. They also showcase local seasonal beers. The servers are great ,joking and making us laugh the whole time. It was absolutely a wonderful night and we were just having pizza. Who knew pizza could be so awesome.“
“The food is always good here. We had a burrata salad, tomato basil soup and the airline chicken special. All were very good. The service is solid. Probably what you'd expect for this level of food. This is one of our go to restaurants.“
“Loved this place our visit to Houston! I’m surprised more people haven’t visited this! The flavors were on point. We enjoyed the cilantro egg chicken roll, lamb roll and the paneer rolls. The taste was perfect and even the single rolls were filling. The mango lassi is one of the best I’ve ever tasted with the perfect consistency.Keep up the great quality, folks!Parking tip (We struggled with this): You can park at the Lyric garage and get your parking validated if you leave within 2 hours. You will need to make sure you get a receipt from the restaurant with a QR code that you will need to scan at the parking meter. (Perhaps this is only required for weekends as we went on a weekend, not sure about weekdays).“
“I'll start by saying I ordered through Grubhub. My final price for my meal was a little over $52. I changed my mind twice about ordering one meal for one person at that price but I was hungry. I am a OTR Truckdriver. I was parked at a Truckstop and I don't eat Mickey D's (McDonald's). So anyway, I ordered a 10" pizza which really would have been enough. I also ordered the almost $20 lasagna. I am not a connoisseur of pizza but I must say my taste buds were very much satisfied. Now for this $20 lasagna. For my taste, it was very good and very satisfying. The portion size was larger than I expected. With that being said the price was understandable and for me very much worth it. I have no "but" or anything negative to say. In closing, the next time I am in this area, this is my go to spot for a good meal. (Please don't change a thing.)“
“I like this place especially for happy hour but has anyone else had the experience where the prices change later on? I bought a $5 drink during happy hour and tipped 20% but then I was charged $15 on my credit card statement. Not sure what that was about and could t get ahold of anyone to ask about it“
“We really loved the vibe and the food. Outstanding service, great food and loved the 80’s theme. They even have the old school video games we played as kids of the 80’s. It was also a great place for the kids they enjoyed the games as we waited for a table. Would definitely return.Parking: I got lucky and was able to find a spot right up front but there is street parking and a lot across the street that has plenty of parking.“
“Luna has been our family's go-to pizza place for years. Cobb salad and chopped salad are great. We always do a small salad Ana large pizza.. half pep and half proshuto & arugula. Love the fresh herbs to add to the pizza, and service is always great. This review goes for Kirby and Westhimer locations.Vegetarian options: Veggie pizza is great“
“Our dine in experience was awesome! The staff superbly accommodated our 8 member group. The cleanliness of the establishment first caught our attention & made us comfortable. We tried several items such as the meat lovers, vegetarian pizzas, wing platters and salad. Each item was cooked properly! Crispy pizza crust with loads of toppings. Thoroughly cooked crispy fresh wings with juicy meat (not greasy). Salad ingredients were washed and tasty. This place is a hidden gem!“
“All I can say is just go. Go and order whatever strikes your fancy, because it is all going to be insanely delicious. This meal capped off our little "day-cation" and I could have asked for more. The food is incredible. Thoughtfully prepared, incredibly inventive pairings, a super fun wine list, and some of the best panna cotta I've ever had. Just go.“
