I dined here the other night for the first time, had very high expectations based on reviews and hand made pasta. Took quite sometime for our server Jorge to get to us and take our order, I’m honestly not too upset with that because whatever Jorge didn’t do for us the owner did, he came by refilled drinks cleared plates and put in our dessert and coffee. We started with the meatballs and potato and leek soup, soup was okay, meatballs were dry on the inside. I got the carbonara and my partner got one of the specials that came with lobster tail. The lobster pasta and sauce was good but the lobster tail tasted off, the carbonara was bland, mushy, and I tasted nothing but flour. Which is ironic because Jorge said, it’s a very salty dish bc of the ingredients, (I work in the industry, I’ve been a chef for the last decade) I said I’m okay with that as I love a good carbonara. There was not a drop of salt on that dish. Didn’t say anything because I truly hate complaining when I’m out to eat as I’m a chef myself. The panna cotta was great, nice texture and flavor. Paid in full and left Jorge a nice tip even though he didn’t do much, the owner made up for it with constantly checking on us. Maybe caught them on a bad night idk, but for $225 idk if I’d be willing to take my chances again on trying it out.

This was our first time and it was definitely not what we expected. The server we had was very polite which is always much appreciated. He listed off the specials to us and reccomended a great wine that I loved. The appetizers/ antipasti's were decent nothing too amazing. The one big problem I had was with the glasses that our water was served in. I am not sure if it is the water or the sponges that are used to clean the dishes but the less and less water I had in my glass the pungent smell of dishwater/ fish filled my nose. By the end of the meal I couldn't stand the smell anymore I almost gagged. The risotto also tasted very strange. I really do think it has something to do with the water that is used. The pasta had inconsistencies in the texture. There were some over cooked pieces, some al dente, and some undercooked and most of the pasta was stuck together which I assume is why that happened. You can see that in the photo attached. I truly didn't like my pasta dish at all and neither did my boyfriend. It did have guanciale which I've never had but even then the pasta on its own was not great. The desserts were great and I would definitely try the others they offered. I also couldn't help but over hear our server joking with another worker as to why we were just sitting and not eating for such a long period of time. It is because after we recieved the antipasti's we needed just a few more minutes to decide on our main dishes but we had finished them completely and were just sitting waiting for our server to come over again after serving us those. We really just needed a few minutes not 30. It was also not busy at all at the time because he did walk past us quite a few times without asking if we were ready. I trusted the reviews greatly but that was a mistake.

First time eating there tonight and I must say first of many. We plan to go back, food is exquisite. It’s been a while since we experienced outstanding service. Very nice place, must try. We we’re treated very well. The Italian spicy oil was the cherry on top for our meals, we’re spicy lovers. Thank you for providing such a great experience.

It's a charming Italian restaurant in the neighborhood that offers exceptional food and service. To begin with, we tried the Fritto Misto (a mix of fried calamari, shrimp, and zucchini) and it was simply delicious. For our main course, we ordered Ossobuco Milanese and Spaghetti Pescatora, both of which were fantastic. To top it off, the server surprised us with a delightful birthday Tiramisu cake on the house. It was a wonderful gesture that made our celebration more memorable. We would definitely return to this restaurant and highly recommend it.

One of the few true Italian restaurants in Houston. The food is very authentic and delicious. Gabriele (the owner) is from Italy (Calabria iirc) and very friendly. Roberto is Italian as well and always delivers awesome service.I haven't found a better place for an authentic Italian experience in Houston. I wish they were in Cypress!

such a cute and cozy date night spot. we started with the caesar salad ($10, no protein), which might be the best caesar salad i've ever had. the dressing (which was delicious) lightly coated each piece of lettuce. croutons were so fresh and garlicky. the shavings of parmesan were thin enough to not be overpowering. highly recommend. i got the linguine plainuro ($30), which had tomatoes, clams, and arugula. unfortunately this dish was a miss. i'm usually a fan of arugula, but it made everything taste too bitter. the sauce was fine. i could've made a better linguine at home, which bums me out because it was definitely not worth the price. the lobster ravioli ($35), which comes with a lobster and crab cream sauce, was soooooo yummy. MUCH better and totally worth it. the molten vesuvius cake ($12) was neither molten nor volcano-like. you can get a better lava cake from trader joe's that's actually molten for a quarter of the price. it came with vanilla gelato that had an interesting ricotta aftertaste. overall, i would definitely come back, but would skip the linguine and chocolate cake.

Quiet neighborhood restaurant that served as a great setting for a business dinner. The wait staff, food, and wine pairings were phenomenal. The wheel pasta with white truffles is a 'must have' along with the bruschetta and tiramisu. Many thanks to Roberto for a wonderful dining experience!

We tried this place after reading reviews.Placed order over phone . The gentleman (I guess owner) had difficulty understanding our requirements. Was kind of rude.I informed him about what we like and are open to try his recommendations as first time customer. I don’t see any need to use native Italian words when your customer doesn’t understand. Probably he was trying to impress with Italian vocabulary.Eventually food was too oily and is overpriced.Taste was below expectations. Not going back there.
