We got a sliced brisket sandwich, a brisket cheesesteak, french fries, and smoked sausage to take back home to try (as pictured). When I tell you I don’t write reviews or rave about places often, I really mean it. But my boyfriend and I enjoyed the meal so so so much. Everything was well cooked, well seasoned, and well portioned. The barbecue sauce is delicious too… We’re already planning to come back in a week or two (if we can even wait that long). The staff and owner were all so nice, they deserve all the love and all the customers and more! Thank you!Kid-friendliness: Saw many families with children all eating and enjoying the food.

I knew Russell Roegel from his earlier days when he managed the Baker's Ribs location on Voss Rd. I worked very close to that location. Soon everyone in our office was eating there. Well, I had no idea that Roegel's BBQ in Katy was owned by the same Russell. I recognized him immediately when I was watching Texas Bucket List. He is as genuine and nice as anyone you will meet. I couldn't wait to see if his newer location in Katy was as good as the product he produced back when I worked in the Galleria area. Oh my oh my. IT IS FANTASTIC!!! The sauce has that same spectacular taste. The meats are top quality. I couldn't get enough of my Brisket topped stuffed baked potato. I went twice in one week. He comes out from the kitchen and visits with his customers to see if they are enjoying their meals. Plus, he is a US Military Veteran. Run, don't walk to Roegels. He has a lot of unique items on the menu besides all the traditional stuff. ? I am ready to go back and back and back....

We were disappointed on the quality of our food when we heard so many positive reviews. First let me start with my sliced beef sandwich. I understand fatty meat will be on the sandwich, however, I cut at least a 1/4 pound off my sandwich. The meat cutter just didn't care. My cucumber salad had feta cheese in it which gave off a bland flavor, not very appealing.Brisket cheesesteak sandwich was a joke. You won't be able to pick it up to eat, it was super greasy with the fatty brisket that they served with it. Two stars is an accurate score because of the atmosphere and cleanness. Not sure if I'll be back any time soon.
Delicious bbq meat and sides! Came on a Sunday around 1pm and it was packed. Waited in line for 30 mins and ordered to go. We had the brisket, pork ribs, jalapeño sausage, and brisket boudin. For sides we had the Mac and cheese, loaded mashed potatoes and collard greens. All was tasty! Great portion size of the meats.
Very good barbecue ribs and greens. It was very busy Sunday afternoon, lots of senior couples. The seating is a bit of a problem though, it's cramped and too few tables. The bar is good looking, has 7 seats and it too is crowded.

Ridiculous prices for a brisket I can cook at home for about 1/8th of that price. And I put no effort into it and It’s better than this stuff. And $14 for a quart side. I don’t know how this place is surviving without lowering their prices and working harder.

We had the brisket cheesesteak, brisket plate, and a brisket, pork belly, rib plate. The brisket was fairly greasy and salty, enjoyed the pork belly and the ribs were great. Our daughter had the same opinion on her cheesesteak that it was greasy salty. All our sides were great; coleslaw, potato salad, fries, and Texas caviar.
I tried their turkey breast sandwich. It was very good on a large burger bun not the sesame seeded but with strips of chicken breast. It can compared to pulled pork style except its turkey. It used there custom made mustard that’s spicy and seasoned.
