Clean place, very laid back atmosphere unfortunately the bar staff was extremely rude and not friendly at all wanted to lie about a tequila being in stock to make a house beverage and after another bartender advised him that they did have it, it was reluctantly made.

So we are HUGE foodies one of the reasons we love Houston. We eat from everywhere, Steak 48, Hungry's, Saltgrass, Dakar, Huzzys, you name it, if there is good food you will find us there. Being that as it may, we called what we thought was "Local Bar" at 9.45p to order a few things off their menu. Someone answered then proceeded to keep saying "hello, hello" on a very clear line. Now, knowing l have a slight accent l figured maybe he could not understand me. So after he hung up on me l called again. Mind you l am calling "Local Bar" that closes at 12a. A girl answered and told me they do not take any to go orders. Perplexed l asked if this was Local Bar, she then said yes, after several qtns she then agreed to take my order only for her to say her manager said l should come in person to order to go. However at this point l was like Ummm... This left me feeling some kind of way. I am not sure if this african/British accent of mine played a role? Who knows, but l almost wished l had not called because l was beyond dissatisfied with the customer service. I had such high hopes and this terrible service caught me off guard. I am not sure l will try this place. My business may not be welcome so may just move on to the next.

Great atmosphere but needs some help on the service side. The food was interesting but nothing really stood out. We had 2 different servers during our visit and the order came out wrong after a 45 minute wait to get it. At the end of the meal, a junior manager stopped by to let us know the floor manager was busy talking to other guests - and didn't even acknowledge the issues with the order. Maybe they are working out the kinks of being in a new place.

Service was a bit inconsistent. There seemed to be some confusion on who was going to wait on our table, but several people checked on us to see if we needed anything. Food was much quicker than expected and tasted great. We will definitely return.
