“Easy to miss this little dive amongst all the small businesses surrounding 1431 in Kingsland, but made it my first destination of the day due to a recommendation as the best traditional Mexican restaurant in Kingsland. Firstly, this is a cash only (ATM within) and BYOB establishment. For the latter, no bar and I assume one can bring their own drinks but did not see anyone drinking beer. With 14 4 tops, the place is tiny and looks to be well managed and great staff. No frills dining interior but clean and plethora of decor. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. The menu is surprisingly very large so would be great to see how a small place executes during peak times. Traditional options only so if you're looking for fancy, this is not it. I ordered the tortilla soup, (3) Verde "green" enchiladas, half plate nachos, guac and queso. The chicken enchiladas were simply outstanding, perfectly seasoned pure white rotisserie chicken, with great tasting refried beans and rice. The verde sauce great. I got the standard queso which was okay. The guac was outstanding. The complimentary chips and salsa were okay. The Nachos need some help and were nothing special for the price $6.99. The soup was outstanding perfectly seasoned and plenty of chicken and avocados. Ticket time for entree was a timely 8min. Overall, I love family owned and operated businesses and recommend this one. While I'm sticking to 4* review, I simply need to come back to try other items for a complete review. Nice job owners. Will be back. Prices for entrees are good.”

“Man, what can I say, this place has the best tacos and the best salsa of any place I've ever visited and I have lived in Texas for 15+ years. Always friendly, always great food, and always a great value! Sometimes a little slow in the summer months because the secret is out and everybody knows that this is the place to go! Keep up the great work and we'll keep buying tacos!”

“Run don’t walk to the Potatoe Shack!! We had chicken and dumplings today. It was melt in your mouth delicious!! The blueberry muffins and peach cobbler muffins are the stuff dreams are made of. “Sal's made the most amazing LASAGNA to our family eclipes/reunion gathering. More than enough food for our family of 20 adults. Fresh salad, lots of delicious garlic bread and of course his AMAZING LASAGNA. Thank you Sal for all you did to make a completely great dinner. ? ? ?”

“Excellent spot for breakfast tacos in Kingsland, Texas right near Lake LBJ - food truck with area to sit and eat if you like. Tacos are cooked to order and are quite tasty! They pair very well with some Lazy Heron coffee nearby for an outstanding breakfast. Cash-only location so make sure you have some on hand.”

“The food is very good and it actually has flavor compared to other Tex-Mex restaurants. I've had breakfast to dinner and I cannot get enough of there food. Staff are very polite and came to check almost every single time I've went. Additionally, the inside is decorated with culture and art, and with pretty cool ceramic statues of them playing with a guitar.”

“What can I say about pats, they are always a warm welcome. No matter if you are down or up they make you feel at home. It is a positive atmosphere with bartenders who genuinely make you feel welcome. I have always loved coming here since I turned 21. My mom would bring me here when I was 17 to play pool and I knew then what bar I would love to be at. To those who try to say they over serve you are sadly mistaken, I have seen multiple people get asked to leave and they have even offered ride to make sure they were safe. They have kept this place positive, drug free and true to the core.”

“One of the best places to eat Texan-styled food. Their complementary breakfast to absolutely delicious dinner selections make it one of the best. Staff are actually very polite and will give the service you want. Plus, the interior being filled with decorative art and randoms.”

“We originally ordered here because it was the only place that delivered to our Lakehouse. But once we got their pizza, we were hooked. We order from them almost every time we come up here. We've got our neighbors ordering from them now too! Very good food! Everything I've ordered has been good”
