“I’ve been craving gorditas for two weeks now. I just happened to pass by this location and had to stop because it’s literally called Gorditas! Everything was nostalgic for me. It tasted authentic, just like my abuelita would make in Mexico. The gorditas were terrific, the salsa that comes with the chips was delicious, my husband had bought some to bring home, the onions were grilled to perfection, the rice and beans were yummy, and the young lady at the cash register was very personable and just super sweet. The ladies in the back that were cooking, need to be recognized for their hard work!!Thank you for bringing me back to my childhood with your food.Forever a customer! ?“
“First time to Casa Mia for an early lunch (11AM) and it definitely won’t be the last. Mom and I were eagerly anticipating what we were hoping to be a good experience, and it absolutely blew us away! This visit ticked all the boxes in terms of Food, Service, and Ambiance. It was truly exceptional. I can’t believe this place has been here for six years and we have lived across the highway all this time. Walking in, you immediately feel a sense of welcoming in an intimate, classy, high energy space. Wonderful first impression. This is a Family Business and one that you would be doing yourself a disservice for not stopping by.From the time we entered, we were immediately greeted and seated by John, the mixologist here. He and the chef in the back were truly the stars of the show. John introduced us to the establishment and spoke a bit about the history. He was expecting us (since we made a reservation online) so he had already reserved a table. He was more than happy to answer any questions we may have had about the Menu. Fortunately, we glanced at the Menu online beforehand in order to prevent any indecisiveness.Hot, Fresh Chips, Salsa, and Black Bean Dip (life-changing btw) were brought to the table first. The crunch and texture of the chip was perfect accompanied by the two dips and set the tone for the rest of the meal.5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️John then handed us the cocktail Menu and we ordered two Jalapeño Margaritas. Individually handcrafted with fresh, quality ingredients, this Margarita ranks right up there with some of the best we have had. The flavors of the lime juice and the jalapeño do a little dance on the palate and cut through with just the right intensity.5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️For entrées, I ordered the Reina Plate and Mom ordered the Chicken Enchiladas. Both excellent! Hot, Fresh, Cooked to Order, Tender, locked-in flavor, and complete bliss with each and every bite. I love places that don’t over season or oversalt their food, simply because 1.) it retracts from the experience and 2.) we don’t add salt to our food at home. The seasoning here was perfect! I wish more places were like this. The pickled cabbage, carrots, and sauce were the perfect accompaniments to the fried plantains, yuca, pupusa with cheese, and tamale wrapped in banana leaves. The Black Bean Dip and Rice was a nice touch as well. Portion sizes just right and that can be hit or miss on several establishments. “Best tacos north of the tollway!! It is really hard to find good authentic tacquerias north of sam rayburn! Tacos and tortas were soo good! No cutting corners, just some good authentic food! Salsas were also amazing! Will be back and recommend if you are in the area!“

Two steak tacos and a chicken taco, all in house made, fresh flour tortillas. The tortillas were top notch! Tacos come with cilantro and onion, although they offer other items such as cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, guac, etc.Got chips + salsa as one side, Mexican rice for the other. Salsa was mild, although they had spicier options.Rice was pedestrian but easily fixable with a little salsa.No taco Tuesday specials, however, still a very good, inexpensive meal for any day of the week!“

Fast, friendly, and attentive service, the ambiance is pretty much what you'd expect for a solid Tex Mex restaurant, and the food was great! We also partook of the happy hour drink specials and were not disappointed.Wife and I just decided to split one of their appetizer platters -- the one with all the chicken stuff. Somewhat comically, one of the two chicken jalapeño poppers was completely devoid of filling (it was the right size and shape so clearly the filling must have seeped out during deep-frying). I notified our server and she swiftly replaced it with not one but TWO extra poppers (one chicken, one cheese). Hooray!Wife decided she needed more protein and we ordered the cóctel de camarónes and you need to understand that this was always the dish her dad would make her when she was younger and she needed cheering up so it's near and dear to her heart. It is no small praise to indicate that it met with her approval.Chips were good. Salsa was quite tasty, though more liquid than solid. Nothing wrong than that; just observing.They also gave us a couple sweetened coffee shots at the end of our meal. Neat!Also, there was an abuelita serving the table next to us, unapologetically forcing some Español out of the exceedingly white family in the table next to us and calling them mijo and mija and while our server was great, I've never had server-envy more in my entire life. “We usually go to this location several times a month usually on Wednesday’s.Tonight we had the most amazing guy who took our order. He told us his name was Voice but I believe his whole name is, and I’m not sure I’m spelling it correctly, LeVoice.He greeted us immediately when we walked in the door and we exchanged Happy Valentine greetings to another. He was so friendly and engaging while taking our order that I thanked him for being that way, and told him I was happy to see him working at this location! The manager happened to be helping out in the grill area and I told him I wanted to give a shout out to Voice so he literally did a shout out over the microphone, LOL - I certainly hope to see him next time we go!“
“The place doesn’t look like much from the outside and is attached to a gas station. But most of the hidden gems are! The good is GREAT! We had made to order egg and potato tacos that were piping hot and the jalapeño taco sauce was awesome. The woman who was running the place was super friendly and knew the locals who were in there eating who also were loving their food. This is one of the places that if you’re in the area you should try something off the menu but I highly recommend!!“
