First time trying this place it was OK our waitress was nice but my food wasn't all that good my biscuits were hard, gravy was bland our table wasn't cleaned that good my boyfriend had got honey on his shirt that was on the side of the table guessing from previous customer. My boyfriend recommend this place since his dad and him tried it and said they really loved the food so my boyfriend wanted to take me and he was very disappointed this time and said probably won't be back again and for the price we paid thought it would be a little more food.
Friendly staff and quick service with plenty of coffee refills. The biscuit was fluffy and had good flavor. The bacon could have been a bit crispier, and the pancakes were a bit too thick and gummy. Not bad, but not the fluffy pancakes of my dreams.
Great home made cooking, it made me feel as a mom like someone was doing all the cooking for me instead of me doing all the cooking and cleaning. It was a good feeling.. I was crowded but only had pike a 5 min. Wait and did not have an 8impact on the Great Service and the SMILE on Our Waitress face even tho she was so busy she was great even took time to give kids stickers and magnets to play with while they waited on there meals. It so hard to see great waitstaff So Thank You So Much for the great experience.. This will definitely be our go to spot for a great home made meal..
Charming, old-style ambience with prompt and friendly service. I had a club sandwich which was okay but nothing to write home about. Prices were reasonable.
This place is amazing with super nice staff and to top it all off the food was GREAT we received our food in a timely manner and we were well taken care of next time me and my wife are in Lubbock this place is definitely on our list of places to stop at!
The service is very genuine. Not for tips just great service food is awesome. The sweet potato pancake is amazing with cinnamon syrup. No complaints here going back tomorrow.
The mom-and-pop charm of this restaurant is welcoming and warm! After receiving a friendly greeting from our server, Andrea, we ordered and didn't wait too long before our breakfast arrived. She was an excellent server! I was, however, somewhat disappointed with my plate. The chicken fried steak was very small and the gravy was bland. I was imagining homemade fries, which is something you would expect from a cafe like this. They weren't homemade and really had no flavor at all.My husband enjoyed his plate well enough. But it was nothing to write home about. After reading several reviews about this place I guess it was just a little disappointing that the food was so mediocre. The service and atmosphere was quite pleasant.
We were visiting there for a wedding and tried the Pancake House. What a awesome place ! The folks there treated us as family and the food was super. We got it hot and correct. We went back 3 times and sent other family members there. If we get back to Lubbock we will go back there for the great food and super staff. Keep up the good work.
the food was good and awesome staff love it going back soon
Great Food and Great Staff. Recommended by several Lubbock Residents it did not fail to please. Large portions that did not disappoint.
Arrived 5 minutes prior to open and they were quick to accept us in and get us some breakfast. Super friendly and knowledgeable on topics to keep the conversation going while knowing when to move on to another table. The food was wonderful (2 eggs over easy with a slice of ham.. hold the hash brown, toast, and/or biscuit). I'd I didn't know better I would assume it was made in my own kitchen. Overall, I don't know why I haven't ate here before.. awesome!
Oh yes, this places was delicious! The pancakes ? were fluffy and big. The Bacon ? was very crisp and long and the sausage was cooked to perfection. Not only was the food really delightful but the service was wonderful. I love going to places that have outstanding service.
The Pancake House has been a Lubbock staple for decades. If you want food like granny makes in the kitchen, this is the place to go. Perhaps not gourmet, but just hearty down home cooking. The homemade toast is the best. If you're looking for a breakfast dive with a diner vibe, this is the place.
We were in search for a place like grandmas kitchen...after being deployed, and a very long drive we had read some great reviews and decided to stumbled in and give this place a try. We didn't know what kind of adventure we would find- but wow! We were greeted by the friendlies people! Seated and from then on it was like we were part of the family! The food was amazing, One of the reviews mentioned cinnamon roll pancakes- OMG!!!! MUST GET!!!! When ever we are in Lubbock we will go back and just order those- wow! The coffee is amazing (we are a pretty picky about our coffee), the biscuits and gravy was on point! And the owner was even nice enough to come over and speak with us! Really great place! We will be going back!
