With all due respect to Cafe Del Rio, Herradura's is better. Salsa is fresh and perfectly spiced. Chips are thicker than average Mexican restaurants and obviously freshly fried. I had a combo meal (forget the name) but chicken enchilada smothered in mushroom sauce, a steak enchilada, 4 chicken cheese flaunts, smoked beans and rice. Hadn’t been here since they opened YEAAARS ago. Sister convinced me to…and I’ll definitely be coming here regularly now. The food was amazing, great margaritas. The fajitas actually came out super hot rather than on a sizzling plate and the food still being like warm like other places do!!

Warm roasted salsa and chips was excellent. Letty was very pleasant and friendly, great service. Food was great too! Best refried beans ever, smokey goodness! Definitely will be back when in Lufkin!
