“Got a chance to try The Dock after church today with neighbors. Our server, Bryce, was great...friendly, accommodating, and you could tell he was really trying to make a good impression, so sweet. I had the Tuna Tataki "starter" as my meal and it was perfect...one of the best I've had with really fresh, large pieces of seared sushi grade tuna. The chili ponzu gave it the perfect amount of kick! My friends all ordered "meals" and the portions were so large, they were asking for to go boxes immediately. One friend got the pancakes, and the table agreed they were phenomenal...cooked perfectly, and so tasty. Another friend got the Crab Cake Benedict and enjoyed it thoroughly. Someone else got the Catfish Étouffée and said it was amazing, and the last of us got the Chicken & Waffles and it was to die for, as well. The bar looks like a fun place to sit and grab a drink (my Bloody Mary was tasty, too). There were a couple of very large groups that came in about the same time, so we did have to wait for drinks and food took some time, but we enjoyed visiting with each other and the food was so delicious that it was worth the wait! We all can't wait to go back and try even more menu items!”
“Tripa tacos were nice and crispy however the Carne disabrada could used more seasoning for taste. Me and My 17 year old son enjoyed ? different takeria that evening. The takeria serviced at moment there 5 vehicles of food service.”
“Food is spectacular, the service is 5 star, and the atmosphere is perfection. We have been several times. I’ve only had the steak, but my husband has had the prime rib, the beef tips, and a different cut of steak and each time we have been beyond happy with the food. The skillet brownie sundae is to DIE FOR. There is no smoking until after 10 and the live music and dancing with dinner is so fun. Highly recommend!”
“Great place to eat. I've been there a few times now and enjoyed every visit. Good salad and bean bar. Friday's they have a seafood buffet, but I ve not tried that yet.Only bad thing is the water. The town has infamously bad tasting water. I would recommend drink iced tea. It would be nice if they would get a filter system that would fix the bad taste.Parking: No problem finding parking.Wheelchair accessibility: They are wheelchair accessible.”
“My family has been coming here for years! My parents come here 2-3 times a week!Great service & the BEST food EVERRR!!! My husband & I travel 1 & 1/2 hours to eat here. Ask for Juan. He’s the best server! Ignore all the bad reviews!!! ?? Out of all the places we have to choose from in Waco, Austin or Dallas, we would always choose Nieto’s!!! Five stars from us always!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Incredible place! Walked in and felt so at home. Atmosphere was rustic/cool...The drinks are incredible! Our bartender came up with an amazing drink off the top of her head! We were there on a getaway and just touched by the beautiful and kind people! Have to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone at Chalk for such a great experience!”
“Very cute place. ♥️Customer service is very good. However, I don't think it's going to be there long:- They need to offer espresso, cold brew, white coffee: things that will bring in regular people [Healthy Hangout is across the highway from the Malakoff Liquor Store]- The protein smoothie base is Soy.- The products are MLM, which brings your base costs up. You would be much better off getting them through a regular distributor like UNFI, or regional restaurant wholesaler. Those are the biggest red flags that stood out. There may be others, but it boils down to offering products that your neighborhood will consume. This is not some extremely pretentious area, and restricting your product base to things people are unlikely to buy, is not going to bring in revenue and repeat business.10/10 for aesthetics, 2/10 for product offering.”
“We have eaten here 4 times now since it has changed over & just love the place. My husband usually has fajitas or carne asada and I usually get one of the shrimp dishes - the camaron plancha or Carmarones especiales and I LOVE them both. I like the variety of options on the menu. The woman & young man who keep the water , chips, and salsa filled are constantly at the table making sure you have what you need, and when they are not actually busy they are standing in the corner watching the tables. Our favorite waiters so far are Erik Z, Juan, & Gabriel. They make you feel like you are treasured guests, always checking on the table, making sure everything came out right and tastes good. And I believe Erik is a manager as well. He works very hard. They even helped me with my broken Spanish as I tried out a few words. I noticed that a lot of customers seem to know and like Gabriel and heard him make a comment about not going to another location as "I have my customers here ! " I understand why he has a following. I saw some other reviews that were less than flattering about the chips & salsa but that has not been our experience. I find the salsa a bit spicy actually. Not hot enough to hurt ya, but just so you know its there. Also thick, not runny. I also like the jalapeno slices with onions that come with the queso. We cant wait for our next trip back.Parking: large open parking lot with lots of spaces”
“They still need to work on some flavor in their meats, but is was good. Their turkey is very good and juicy. The texture on the brisket needs a little work. The sides are great, and are flavorful.”
“Went looking for new place to try. Seen this place in Malakoff a couple of times passing through. Well me and the wife decided to try it out. It was worth the stop. All around had a great experience. Chips and salsa, recommended. And the drinks.. on point. Will be back again.”
“Holy cow, the new kid at the window 6:00 p.m. on December 23rd was the most amazing individual to deal with. What a sweetheart. That's the way Whataburger ought to be A+ higher. He needs a day off with pay. Thanks Whataburger finally!”
“We just recently started coming to this Subway. It is one of the best Subways I have ever been to! There is a Gentleman who goes by Perk and a young lady also who I did not get her name. They are always so welcoming and Perk always remembers who we are and what my order is. He remembers my kiddos and exactly how they like their sandwich… This place has customer service that exceeds expectations and goes above and beyond!!! Awesome Job!!!”
“We had a late lunch here today. It was excellent. Thank y’all for serving us delicious hot fresh cheese burgers and the Best fried chicken. This is a excellent sonic. We ll stop again next time we are passing through. And hats off to the nicest server s ?♀️”
“For a small town McDonald's, this is def one of the better ones I've stopped at on my many travels. First, when I ordered I wouldn't have even guessed I was in Texas and thought AI was taking my order, ha (the staff will know what I'm talking about lol) but the team was friendly and the fries were hot.”
“Finally made a trip to try out this little nook and it was pretty darn good! The breakfast burrito was delicious, definitely recommend it. I’m wishing I would have bought an extra cinnamon roll for a rainy day pick me up - super yummy! And the coffee was extra awesome, definitely worth the trip! Great job Rayne and staff! Trinidad, Texas has something special. ???”
“Got Smoked on the Go rib rack literally falls off the bone. I've never been a fan of ribs in the past, various reasons. I ordered the chopped beef samich, always excellent here. Each visit I heard interesting references to the rib racks. And it seemed like the customers all around had a rib rack. But I was still skeptical when Jim & Ann said I should at least try them. I finally gave in & placed an order for a rack for the next day.Well let me tell you. Jim pulled it off the smoker when I arrived, then ceremoniously demonstrated how tender & juicy the rack actually was by picking one of the rib bones and just sliding it right out of the rack. Whut?? I didn't know that was even possible. I'm already standing there awestruck staring while he proceeds to illustrate that it was possible to remove all the long bones. I started having actual hope that these would be the ribs that I could finally actually eat and enjoy (bite, chew, without a knife to cut cross grain into baby pieces).Ann & Jim are both smiling & laughing at my surprised expression, then encouraged me to take that first bite. Full of mixed emotions at this point, fear that the bite or taste wouldn't hold up to the visual expectations vs the thrill of possibly finding the elusive perfect rack.Realize I gave up trying to eat ribs years and years ago.I took my first bite. I barely had to chew. It literally melted in my mouth. It had the perfect resistance. The perfect chew. Perfect across the grain bite. I'm telling you folks, it was beyond perfect. Uptown New York fancy chef perfect. So perfect that I didn't even feel bad that I ate my fill in the car before getting it home to put what was left on the table for my husband for what was supposed to be a sit down dinner. No remorse either. Lol.”
“We stopped in on a weekday for a private event. They are open on the weekends. I met the owners and casually drank wine with them all night! Felt like family by the time we left. We purchased two sweet wines to go, Queen P and Sweet P. Can't wait to open them up! Defintely worth a visit. The property is beautiful! If this review helps you, please give us a thumbs up! #crazykleinadventure”
“This is our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. We have ate at many many Mexican restaurants all over and non compare to Los Socios. I love the employees they are so sweet and kind. You should definitely make the trip out to eat here, they won't disappoint.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu as well which your child will love.”
“We ate in my husband had the Burritos plate, he said it was really good and really liked the hot sauce with the chips. I had a hard taco and the large Nachos. The taco was stuffed with meat lettuce and cheese, I mean stuffed and the Nachos were loaded, even had queso and beef on the first layer. I added my jalapeños, so good. Lots of food!”
“Probably best breakfast we had on our vacation. Don't let the building fool u. This place has some awesome food and good people there. Plus guns. What's better then breakfast and guns. Loved it. Felt at ”
“Had a great morning on the lake with my family today! My sister and nieces were in town, and we had a blast pulling the kids on the tube! Everyone at LSM made the whole boat rental process a breeze, from reservation to check in. We will definitely be using them again next summer!”
“Great Birthday weekend for the family. Saw the Longhorns and two week old baby! Wine tasting with host Elizabeth in the afternoon with great pizza, piano music, and cake. Returned for chili dinner and wine with fabulous Rosco Johnny band playing James Taylor and Bob Dylan. Michelle and Richard Anderson made it lots of fun!”

“Great fresh burger. Just passing thru. Nothing else around that we know of so gave it a try. Next ti.e we will wait till we get there to eat. It was that good.Fresh hot crinkle fries too.”
“Super cool place we stumbled upon while looking at the antique shops nearby. We ordered orange juice and grapefruit that were fresh squeezed to our surprise. Good aperol spritz too. The decor and vibe are so fun and I liked the music that was on. Great vibe!”
“Dinner last night at Whistlestop was amazing! It was just the perfect evening from start to finish. Not only was the food prepared and presented beautifully, the service was perfection as well. Our server, Zach, was personable and efficient. He made the evening fun and interesting. You could tell he really enjoys his job and appreciates the people he works for. The server assistants, Kaden and Nielle, were very observant, and were very tuned into our needs during the entire dining experience. This team anticipated our needs long before we had to ask for anything.Whistlestop Restaurant will always be our favorite place to dine. Thank you to the owners for bringing this type of restaurant to the area.”
“Stopped in today for our first meal at the reopened Cross Roads. Excellent experience. My husband ordered the lunch special which was a torta and fries . He chose brisket as the protein. The bread was fresh and hot with smoky brisket and sliced avocado and the fries crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. I had the quesadilla plate with chicken as the protein. My rice and beans were both very tasty and the quesadilla was delicious. Packed nicely with green peppers and mexican cheese with a generous amount of chicken. Best of all complimentary chips and salsa, hot, fresh and with just the right amount of crispness. So glad to have this new addition to our local dining options. FYI, they are currently BYO, so next time a cold Sol will be in our cooler. ( although their ice tea was quite nice )”
“Stopped here for the first time. Limited space for indoor seating. 2 tables, 6 chairs. Taking Covid precautions. Drive-up and take out are going to be their main customers. Ordered a cheese burger, fries included $4.69. Decent size burger and serving of fries. Would have liked the fries a little more crispy. Burger was good with melted cheese. Most of the menu consisted of Mexican selections such as tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, burritos along with some shrimp favorites. For under $5 it was a worthwhile meal. They need to.post their phone number on the website so phone in orders are possible.”
“This place is awesome. It’s fine dining in a small town atmosphere. Seriously the best Crawfish stew I’ve ever had. The chicken fried steak is insanely good. I also tried the Crab Cake BLT…..whoa! Mind blown. What a cool combo. Great menu for everyone. Would recommend to anyone.”
