“I really wish I could give this place more than five stars. The food was outstanding. I went in with a five person party and we all ordered different dishes EVERY SINGLE THING was good. Well, the macaroni and cheese was a little plain and runny, but other than that all other food was amazing. The blackened eyed peas were fixed to southern style perfection. As well as the cabbage that burst with flavor as soon as it hits your tongue. Pancakes are fluffy and perfectly flipped, the French toast was superbly done. Everything is seasoned just right. I could go on and on an out the food but I will just say try this place out and whatever you order, you will be delighted. We were served by Heather who was attentive, efficient, and very friendly. She provided great service. The atmosphere is nice inside the restaurant, very clean, and inviting. Great for business lunches, after church supper, or family dinner. The prices are on par for your normal soul food places. We paid about $120 dollars for five meals and two to go orders. It was worth every penny though. If you’re on the search for a place to eat in Mansfield, look no further, would definitely recommend The Porch!“
“Place is a great place for the family. Had a play area for the kiddos which my daughter loved and burgers were good too. Really like the multiple options for fries! You know you’re at a good spot when you have multiple fry options along with fry dipping sauce.“
“I can see why this place has been around for some time now. The burger was fresh and juicy.It's just a good old-fashioned burger like people used to make.There is plenty of seasoned meat. Not some thin piece of meat that hides between two buns. The cajun fries were crispy and spiced just right. The service was what I expected from a small business. However, I think they should have better drink options with such a good burger.“
“Food is always on point. The burgers really can’t be beat anywhere in Mansfield. The owners of the business are just awesome. I wrote this review because the owner helped me pack a to-go box at my table. Something so simple but just shows the genuine character these people have. “My first time here and I was in love with the atmosphere. I had lunch and was starving so I ordered the flank steak, loaded baked potato and salad, all were very good! Robin, at the bar, was awesome and very responsive to suggestions and requests. After sitting for a couple hours, I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip…again…it was good. I will definitely return.“
“Twisted Root Burger is located in Historic Downtown Mansfield, TX, in The Backyard, serving great burgers, chicken tenders, shakes, and more!We came through on a weekday after the lunch rush, and it was fairly crowded but placed our order in seconds. The ordering concept is easy as to where you place your order with the cashier in the front, and they give you a name card and call it when the food is ready. Our name for the day was "Elizabeth Taylor," and our food was ready in minutes. There are plenty of tables and booths inside the restaurant, and they also have a full service bar for alcoholic beverages and also serve By the Horns draft beer. The interior was decorated nicely and had a lot of pictures and photos to look at. They even had the famous lamp leg that was featured on the move The Christmas Story. There are also barrels filled with different flavors of pickles to choose from to complement your meal. The options for pickles were dill, ranch, bread & butter, sweet & spicy, and atomic.We ended up getting the onion strings and chicken tenders with house made potato chips. The chicken tenders were nicely coated and cooked to perfection. They were seasoned well and very juicy, and I must say the dipping sauce paired very nicely with the tenders. The house made potato chips were deep-fried golden brown and tasted like the perfect chip while the onion strings were lightly battered and were very addicting as to where you found yourself constantly eating more and more. They also provided house condiments such as ketchup, a root beer BBQ sauce, Chipotle ketchup, and horseradish Dijon mustard.Overall, this fine establishment was great to get a quick bite and drinks with friends and family. They have an awesome happy hour on drinks with multiple TVs by the bar area. Prices were fair and average while the service was great, and the staff did an amazing job with customer service. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more items like the cheese fries and the fried green beans and carrots.“
“Applebee's as a franchise lowers prices and cuts costs on PROTEIN. While my meat was thinner than a kid's menu burger, they disguised it perfectly with lots of fresh toppings. I doubt they could spruce up a sliver of meat any better.“
“Want to give this place a five star rating. Not because it's my favorite food the food was good and fries I don't like much. But the atmosphere and a man named Tom that worked there was so friends and so welcoming and kind. Wish I had a photo. I will go back just to see him there. ?Kid-friendliness: A lot of children.
