“When we entered it was empty so i was a bit worried but when i took one bite of the lemon bar i changed my mind right away. It reminded me of a comfortable, safe atmosphere and it was so nice, right when you enter you see candles and decoractions. The lady there was so nice we even had a little chat. Whenever i can i would love to go back and maybe try even more food, i bought the chocolate pie and it looks so tasty i can't wait to try it ?”

“This bakery is wonderful. They made my daughter a smash cake on such a short notice! I sent over a few pictures of what I was wanting and they absolutely nailed it! The cake was spot on of the photos I sent. Not only was the cake beautiful but it tasted AMAZING!! I have bought several cakes from many highly rated bakeries around and this cake tasted by far better than the others. I can’t say enough about this place. I’m very impressed. I would highly recommend!!”

“It doesn't look like much of a place BUT the lady there was very nice and she was consistently busy with customers. I ordered 2 picadillo tacos, a chicken fajita taco, and chicken quesadillas. Everything was very very delicious. The salsa was super spicy but I liked it. The only complaint I have is that it was all a little greasy. Don't get me wrong, I love a little bit of greasy but it wasn't something that you could easily eat in the car. Otherwise, this place is great.”

“Quaint breakfast restaurant outside San marcos. First time here and it did not disappoint. Girlfriend got huevos divorciados, and I got the hermanos breakfast plate. Food came out fresh and delicious. Homade flour Tortillas and chips and salsa. Had a Concha from their small but delicious bakery case with our coffees.”

“You have to stop by, this place it is amazing!! I ordered a regular decaf no sugar coffee. My first sip, I was in Heaven. It was better than the other expensive coffee places out there. “"Caution Adults at Play" perfectly describes this place. This place is the place to be to have fun. The perfect set up for adult activities and date nights! Came during the day with the guys and had a blast. Came back at night the next day with the wife and in-laws and we had a phenomenal experience. This place has it all. Inside bar with pool table. Outside has so many fun games. Large trashcan beer pong, adult seesaw, large jinga, Cornhole, tetherball, ping pong, and of course the amazingly fun 18 hole put put golf course, with a bar in the middle. Which in itself was a great time. Each hole is a unique fun experience. So creative with endless challenges and tons of things to laugh at and enjoy. The decor feeds in perfectly to the atmosphere and keeps you entertained with all the Easter eggs to an adults rememberance of childhood. There is a food truck out side, everything we ate was delicious. Large gourmet hotdogs, loaded fries, a delicious dessert nacho. There is plenty of seating outside with fire pits all around and a comfortable sitting area with a large projector to watch the games. The atmosphere from the inside to outside stays consistent in fun and entertaining with great music and tons of laughter."Put around and find out" you will not regret going here!”

“I love visiting this Twin Peaks to see the NHL games and eat + drink. Last night, Alannah stood out to me. She made sure my drinks came out quickly, as well as my food. She was even patient enough to swap the TV channel for me a few times to keep up with all the hockey games. She is a fantastic waitress and I cant wait to come back for the NHL playoffs!”

The establishment is an older Jimmy John's but fits the tone they are going for. We will definitely be back often for our budget fix.”

“Ok so I've loved wake the dead for years. It's a San Marcos staple. Atmosphere/environment (both inside and outside) are amazing. My go to place to work or study. Food? Great. Service? ALWAYS on point...My only thing is... The prices have gotten out. of. hand. I mean, I understand that inflation is happening, it's a thing. Everyone talks about how Starbucks is expensive, and I understand that prices at a local shop are probably gonna be a bit more because they have to support their own... And I'll still try and support wake the dead as much as I'm financially able to but it's getting to a point where I don't think I can afford it anymore. At all.The pic below .. that coffee was $8 and some change. For the SMALLEST cup. That's wiiiiild. Truly. .Idk, anyway, I love wake the dead but the prices have gotten a bit insane.”

Happy eating.Coming from San Antonio to San Marcos and this is our 3rd year here, so glad we found this taco truck, the food is so good and the staff is so nice. They even come to your car so no getting out in the cold. Definitely recommend anyone to try this truck out. We got the Burrito ?, quesadilla and some tacos ALL 5 STARS and the green chili is so good NICE AND SPICY!!!!”

We've generally done a wine flight and charcuterie board with maybe a desert. It won't be cheap. “Some friends highly recommended this place to us, and we had a great first experience on our date night at Balcón. Vanessa, our server, was very attentive and knowledgeable. She was able to ask the right questions to provide the perfect suggestions for both drinks and meal. The carne asada taco was delicious, as were the warm chips with guacamole and the churro donut for dessert. The restaurant is located above Otsu Asian Bistro on Stagecoach. Since it was a nice evening, the garage window/doors were open we could look out over the city. There were also heaters around to keep things comfortable as the night cooled off. The music was lively and not too loud so we could still hear each other. We will definitely go back!”

“The food was decent. The salsa was good but definitely different. It had something in it that I have tasted before but couldn't figure it out. I was thinking that they used tomato bullion cubes in it but it definitely has a different consistency and color”

Place does not miss ! it does get busy around 7 because they only have I think two people running it so be mindful when you come to eat here and don't be rude ! We ate in the restaurant and the waiter was very nice. ambiance is good too, you're able to talk to the person in front of you without rambunctious music that most restaurants do. Last thing it is CLEAN, that is something I'll always appreciate about a restaurant, especially one that's half a market!”
