“I had friends from Mansfield tell me about this little gem in my own backyard. This is my second visit and the atmosphere, the food, and staff are vey welcoming and good. I’ll be back soon! Btw, I love the senior menu. Thank ”
“Well worth the try. Ambiance was was cool. Food was fantastic and I highly recommend a potato cake! Service was good and friendly. Restoring an old church and making it a restaurant is a fantastic idea. Kudos City of Midlo on your work on "Founder's Row". You all should visit.”
“It was a busy night, manager checked on our table, server was very sweet and good. Food is great! It's a little pricey but worth it! Free entertainment! Singers were great, not too loud. You can still talk and enjoy yourselves! Will be back!”
“We stopped by just to check out the space and menu here at Pho N Wok and ended up staying for dinner. It was quiet on this Thursday at 5:45 and then things exploded, filling up the small dining area rapidly and leaving to go orders standing or waiting in their vehicles. I can see why. The menu here is terrific. We love Vietnamese cuisine and tried the Vietnamese House Fried Egg Rolls and the Shrimp Spring Rolls. The fried rolls were stuffed with pork, rice paper wrapped and fried perfectly, served with a sweet nuoc cham. The Spring rolls were fresh rolled with 4 shrimp halves, vermicelli noodles, lettuce, bean sprouts and cilantro and served with a peanut sauce. They were large and tightly packed. They could have used some pickled veggies like carrots and or daikon; but otherwise they were well prepared and pretty yummy. It took us awhile to peruse the menu. There's more appetizers, and soup, pho, noodle salads and pork, beef, shrimp, chicken and vegetarian entrees that encompass Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. I ordered a Chargrilled Pork Meatball Vermicelli Noodle Salad. They came back to say they were out of the Pork Meatballs; but they graciously charred some chicken for me instead. My husband ordered the Beef Curry. We both ordered a heat level of 3. Our entrees were both quite good and fairly spicy. My husband chose the fried rice instead of the steamed. He found it to be flavorful as it had some mini- vegetables and it paired well with his tender beef and mushrooms and crisp pea pods, carrots, and onions in the coconut milk curry sauce. My dish, the vermicelli noodle salad, needed salt for me. I found the nuoc cham dressing sweet and the pickled daikon and carrots sweet as well. My waitress was able to ask the kitchen for actual fish sauce. The menu identifies the served sauce as fish sauce; but it's a dressing or dipping sauce - their version of nuoc cham. It's a preference and my preference is sweet and salty, even a little sour, too. But the salad itself was excellent. Perfect vermicelli with veggies and delicious chicken. Our service was impeccable, in spite of how busy they were. Our food was scrumptious. We will be back to try the Pho and other delicious sounding entrees. They have various Pad Thai, Lo Mein, Vietnamese Chow Mein and Singapore Noodles. There's a lot here to choose from. It will be fun. Next time I'll get photos!”
“We hadn't eaten here in a long time. We were pleasantly surprised. The food and service was very good. It's quiet with a homey feel.Kid-friendliness: My grand kids usually order pizza by the slice and the slices here are huge.”
“Good prices. Friendly service.Vegetarian options: Not a lot of non meat options. Refried and charro beans both have meat. They do have a cheese enchilada and some California vegetables.”
“A huge THANK YOU to Mary and Jeffrey Ball for paying for our lunch! We don't even know them but they were such a blessing to our family...there were TWELVE of us...God bless them!And...the food was great too!”
“Food was great! Very authentic, nothing fancy but that's honestly the best part. And the young lady at the front has the absolute best customer service I've seen in my life”
“First time trying and pleased with my meal. I ordered vegetable yakisoba, edamame, and a side of steamed vegetables. The food was fresh and hot. Yakisoba noodle was very delicious. The edamame could use more flavor as they tasted with just a hint of salt. Next time I will try the hot kind, they appear to be flavorful. I will definitely be back.”
“I recently dined at Porch Pour, located in a beautifully preserved historic home on Founders Row in Midlothian. The restaurant's atmosphere is its standout feature, offering a unique dining experience that capitalizes on the charm and character of its historic setting. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. The food was good, featuring a variety of unique dishes that were enjoyable but didn't quite live up to the hype I had heard. The drinks menu did not disappoint. Each beverage was well-crafted, with a good selection of both classic and innovative options that paired nicely with the meal. The service at Porch Pore deserves a special mention for being exceptionally friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and seemed genuinely happy to accommodate guests, which is always a plus in my book.”
“Great place for authentic Tex-Mex food, prepared and served by authentic Texicans. The chips and salsa were an addictive start to the meal. For me, Chicken Enchiladas are a benchmark that helps compare restaurants in the genre. I had mine with Ranchero sauce but there are several choices and come with beans and rice. The sauce was very nice with just the right balance of spice and heat. The chicken filling was juicy and nicely spiced as well. It was clearly a hotspot for the locals. and the limited parking spots on the street can fill up quickly but we went just before noon and were able to park right in front.”
“Best danm burger I've ever had! Homemade fries were epic ?. Made it simple to order and customize my burger with mushrooms, cooked onions and bacon ?. Definitely going ”
“Has vegan options. Elotes are delicious! All our food came out hot. Very tasty tacos and burritos.Kid-friendliness: They have a nice outdoor patio perfect for families to enjoy. Casual dining.”
“I just moved here from San Diego and this was my second time to the restaurant I'm a chicken salad lover and especially on croissants The food is outstanding including the grape salad ? I bought 2 different chicken salads and the grape salad for my lunch and snacks during the week I highly recommend it I will be returningParking: It was somewhat tight finding a place to park since it is shared with other businesses but it's ok”
“As always - great food and great service! We had steak and eggs and the country plate. The biscuits and gravy were awesome! Eggs cooks perfectly, and they kept the coffee coming. Our go-to place when in Midlothian.”
