“We did a poke bowl, maki, and the candy cane roll.I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fish. We intentionally try out a few sushi pieces to get a feel for taste, quality, and consistency. The sushi chefs were quick to rise to the occasion. I loved that my yellow tail was cut with an immaculate consistency. The maki was small, but a really solid bite. If pressed, I'd say that my candy cane roll was cut a little larger than I prefer. That being said, I fully enjoyed my meal and greatly appreciated the generous portion of the roll itself.Overall, it's a solid sushi spot and I look forward to my next visit.“
“UPDATES: Come back a few times. Their service improved a lot. The food are great. Tbh, it is better than most of AYCE sushi in Dallas area. Will come back more often. This place is AYCE but what I got was waiting!!! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!! IF YOU ARE WILLING TO WAIT FOR AT LEAST 20 MINS AND GET 3 PIECE OF SALMON. THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU! Not sure why it got so many 5 star reviews, but it was the worst experience for us.We (3 people) came in at 6.30 on Sunday night. We waited for 15 mins to sit in a table which is understandable. Then we waited for another 15 mins before someone finally showed up. It is AYCE sashimi buffet so you are allowed to order 5 dishes at a time. We ordered 1 appertizer (fried oyster), 1 roll and 3 sashimi dishes. Waited 10 mins for 3 pieces of fried oyster. After waiting more than 20 mins, we had to speak up and talked to the manager. They explained sashimi and sushi are made fresh per order. Then they brought to the table 3 pieces of salmon. So literally we waited for more than 30 mins since we ordered to get 3 pieces of fried oyster and sashimi!!!! (If we dont complain, possibly the wait will be longer). No one visit or check our status during the time. This is supposed to be AYCE!!! At this speed, we will have to wait all night to get what we want. I understand becoz of Covid then buffet has to change a bit but this is how they limit you to order!!! Got so frustrated so we decided to leave. Be prepare to wait or just go somewhere else!!!“
“Would definitely return. The food was great quality. Service was phenomenal. We had the table service. We'll have to go back for the hibachi experience. They don't have a happy hour at this location; which is disappointing because other locations offer happy hour.“
“My husband and I went here for the first time for dinner and we were impressed from the moment we walked in. We had actually intended to eat at another sushi place but they didn't have a table so we went here instead and wow I'm glad we did! The atmosphere of this place is beautiful with it's lighting and calming color palette/decor. We were seated immediately and even though they were busy, it didn't feel super crowded or loud. We sat at a very small booth table despite being offered a table instead (we opted for the little table because there was only 2 of us and we didn't want to take away a larger table in case a larger party came in and needed one) but it still had room for what we ordered and was comfy. Bathrooms are clean and have multiple stalls plus baby changing stations and the tables are cleaned quickly after diners leave to make way for new guests. The service was polite, fast, and informative making ordering super easy, especially since we were first time diners. The Stacey's Mom roll was AMAZING, the egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, but the entrees stole the night. My husband got the combo meal with shrimp, chicken, beef, noodles, and veggies and I got the shaken beef (I believe this is the name). Both were delicious! Beef melts in your mouth and the flavors dance on your tongue. Portion sizing was good for the price, for example mine was ~$16.50 and was filled with the perfect amount of meat and rice to justify the price. Drinks are prepared at the bar and brought to table, I enjoyed the mocktail blueberry even though I don't usually enjoy sour/tart, but it made it almost taste like I was still drinking alcohol which was kind of fun. My husband wasn't too happy with his long island but honestly he's a bit picky about how he likes them so I don't think he's the fairest judge for those who aren't as picky. Overall we loved this place and plan on returning here for many more meals!“
“We have really enjoyed this charming place since the day they opened. The decor is so pretty that I’m envious of their selections. It has taken a while for the popularity of this restaurant to catch on but it seems the word is out now. The menu items are interesting and fresh. Not run-of-the-mill sushi as is found elsewhere. Truly a dining delight. We’re very pleased to have them in Southlake Town Square and appreciate that they provide such a pretty and delicious offering.Keep up the great work!“
“Best sushi spot i have had. The food is phenomenal and the service is awesome. Service is personal and great. The cowboy roll has become my favorite. Tried another sushi place recently that was rated well out of convenience of a drive and it reminded me of how good bamboo house is. Andre is the best, Love this place.“
“We've been several times for lunch and we usually have the sushi and sashimi bento. The fish and the rice are top quality and everything is expertly prepared and fresh. The service is exceptional and very friendly. The decor is attractive and comfortable. Plenty of free parking.“
“I ABSOLUTELY LOVE POKEWORKS.. EXCEPT THE MALE OWNER WILL NOT GIVE YOU YOUR FULL PORTIONS ON TOPPINGS SO PREPARE YOURSELF “FOE” THAT. THE WIFE WILL THOUGH! THEY HAVE A WORKER NAMED CALEB W. WHO IS EXTREMELY PERSONABLE AND LITERALLY MAKES IT WORTH DINING IN IF HES WORKING. HE ACTUALLY REMEMBERS THE REGULARS, AND TREATS THEM WITH SUCH KINDNESS HE SEEMS THRILLED YOU’RE THERE TO EAT (YOU WOULD THINK THIS WAS HIS STORE ON HOW WELL HE TREATS YOU AND HOW HAPPY HE ACTS TO SEE HIS CUSTOMERS). I HATE TO HAVE WRITE THIS BUT ITS VERY TRUE AND MANY OF US WHO EAT HERE ARE SUPER BUMMED WHEN THE MALE OWNER IS WORKING BECAUSE WE LITERALLY HAVE TO ASK HIM TO PUT MORE AND MORE OF OUR TOPPING ON DUE TO HIM TRYING TO GIVE YOU AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE - AND WE/YOU AS THE CUSTOMER ARE PAYING FOR A FULL PORTION! IF YOU CAN SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF YOU’LL BE FINE BUT ITS THE FACT YOU HAVE TO DO IT WITH EACH TOPPING WITH THIS GUY (I CONSIDER THAT AS RIPPING ME OFF IN MY OPINION and that’s something I’m not putting up with so I just ask for my full portion over and over and he does it.)Hope this helps …“
“So I go all around trying different sushi places and I will have to admit that the 40 mile drive that I made to try HK was well worth it. Absolutely enjoyed everything ordered and will for sure be making the drive again. Fresh produce and fresh fish flown in weekly which makes all the difference. Outstanding “
“My go-to sushi restaurant that my family and I have been going to for over 2 years! The gentleman who owns and runs it is the most welcoming and friendliest person we've met! We have become his regulars! His food is always fresh and oh so delicious!! You definitely get your monies worth! The sushi rolls are always big, mouthful bites. The restaurant is always clean and provides restrooms. Our favorite sushi rolls are Alaskan Roll, Read River, Hot Mama & King Kong!Parking: Sushi Go is next to a pizza restaurant Te Amo and a Tae Kwon Do.“
“Hush sushi was awesome! Loved every aspect of it. Food, service, ambiance, location were all perfect for our short time in Southlake. We had the sashimi omakase and the nigiri omakase. Both of which were delicious! We also got the Rangoons which were absolutely perfect.Awesome spot, highly recommend!“
“The food is awesome, they have a lot of a sushi options(with photos!) and the regular menu is fantastic.I’ve been to most sushi places in the area and this place blows them out of the water in all categories. It’s better than Nikko in Southlake town square, go here instead.“
“I've been coming here for awhile now. Great food, cold draft beer, and great service. But lately there seems to be very inconsistent on my sashimi salad...some time we received sliced pieces, and other times it would be small chunky pieces.“
“Holy moly! I was traveling and picked this place at random because the name was hilarious. Well, here’s a fun fact - Oishii means delicious in Japanese and that doesn’t even come close to the cuisine. The place was lit on a Friday night and the chefs were fastidiously crafting the sushi rolls at the bar. This joint has it all - sushi, poke, pho, Chinese and Vietnamese and a stellar wine list/cocktails to boot. The pan seared dumplings were delicate and savory. The Buddha veggies with fried tofu and vermicelli noodles melted in my mouth. Are you salivating yet? Hold your saliva because the Himalayan roll was the main event. This beauty was too pretty to eat and was served on an ice cold pink Himalayan salt block big enough for playing frisbee, except that it was square. Who am I kidding? Pretty or not, this roll slid down like an oyster on a hot summer day. In all fairness, the Main Street roll was a close contender, with that spicy little kick at the end. Date night ambience-check. Huge menu-check. Excellent service - check. Casual night with your friends - check.Vegetarian options: Lots of different options“
“Small shop, they do have dine-in seats. We did take out, they didn’t have some of the options I was looking for in sushi but the rice was exceptional my only thing with the rolls I ordered was the salmon was slimy but everything else was ok. Staff were polite and patient.“
“We come here for the sushi. It's our favorite place to go when we're in the mood for it. We often get the spicy salmon roll, the pacific roll, the avocado roll, and the calamari roll. My husband also enjoys the gyoza and orange chicken from time to time. The atmosphere is nice and they're always welcoming. The manager, June, always greets us with a smile and checks in on our family.“
“This is a small (maybe seats 20 people) sushi place, but it has a lot of great rolls at a good price. They also have a "all you can eat" deal for $25, but you should be aware of three things - 1) everyone at the table has to get the all you can eat (this is pretty much expected in my experience, but there were people there at our last visit that seemed very confused and upset by it), 2) it's a limited menu, so you can't order everything on the menu under AYCE, and 3) as with other AYCE sushi, you will have to pay extra for anything you order but do not eat. If you plan on an appetizer, at least two rolls each, and the orange-chocolate dessert, it's worth it for a solo diner, but it really shines with multiple people so you can try different rolls!“
“This place is delicious with great service. There's plenty of options for my husband and I to choose from. We always enjoy of ourselves when we go. It is more on the pricey side but so far when we have gone it's been worth it. Definitely worth a try.“
“This is one of my favorite local Japanese places in Roanoke. Their prices are more than reasonable, which is a big deal for me, and their food is delicious! Everything tastes authentic and fresh, and they always provide excellent service. Everything we have had here tastes wonderful. Thank you for such a great spot. We love Fish and Knife.“
“Such a cute place. Food and service were amazing too. We had chicken and beef bento boxes for lunch, both fantastic. They give you a lot of food, so next time we skip the appetizer! So glad this gem is right down the road from home. Don't miss out and drive by, it's great!!“
“I tried this for the first time tonight and man it sure didn't disappoint! I'm mad I waited so long to give it a try! I got two sushi rolls, a combo fried rice and a sesame chicken. The portions are nice and big and the fried rice, it was the best I've ever eaten! So happy this place is so close to me, it is my new fav spot, def give them a chance!“
“Went for lunch on this gloomy Friday and the restaurant only had two table when we came in. Both my boyfriend's Ramen and mine came out hot and delicious. The chasu was very soft and easily pulled apart with chopsticks. I like the use of chili paste instead of chili oil for spice.“
“great authentic vietnamese food with a chill atmosphere. we ordered phở and bún thịt nướng. the prices are good for the portion sizes, and the food was amazing. it makes me miss vietnam a lot, but now i know there's a great restaurant nearby that i can always go to. also a decent selection of drinks.“
“The fried rice and noodles are some of the best I've had at a hibachi restaurantThat being said, the meats need work as I've had better quality flavor on the chicken, steak and shrimp at other places. Still a solid hibachi restaurant!“
“Here’s the deal: no matter where you sit, no matter if you only eat sushi, you’ll smell like Hibachi the rest of the day. Clothes go straight into the washing machine. I wouldn’t start my date night here, but otherwise Asahi is a great choice if your next stop is home (or for pick-up and take-out). Food is solid. Employees always polite and attentive.“
“Sushi sam has a very cozy vibe on the inside as well as great food. The butterfly kiss roll was nothing like I've had before and the quality of the salmon made it 10x better. Everyone working was extremely nice and got to our food very fast. Would definitely come back.“
“My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate Valentine's Day. Alex was our server and he and the rest of the team went above and beyond for us, even on a busier night. Josh, the manager, came to check on us multiple times and even gave us great little tips for the food! Everything was spectacular, will absolutely be “
“Love this place, great food, great staff, and affordable. I frequent this place a lot usually for a pork bahn mi and the occasional combination beef pho. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Keller.Vegetarian options: tofu bahn mi is really good and tofu spring rolls“
“Had a great experience at Sushi Nomi. My second time here, separated by about a year. I had a sushi roll which was amazing and my daughter had bulgogi which she also said was delicious. The sushi chef was hospitable and brought us a cucumber salad, tempura vegetables and some nigiri on the house throughout our dinner. All were delicious!“
“Nice ambiance for a 'strip mall' place. Food, service, prices and cleanliness are all very good. Bent Box prices at lunchtime are a bargain. Great Tempura, 'real' (not pre-cooked) rice, the Sushi and Sashimi are extraordinary. They serve a small salad, as well as Miso soup, with the Bento Box lunch - a nice touch.“
“Tried a few items here. The special roll choices are minimal, and all seem to have either cream cheese or asparagus or both. Ended up going with a spicy tuna roll that was strange but still good. I'm from NYC so this was a let down. The sake we had was good, although the server brought the wrong one, and when we realized it was a mistake, they brought a sample of the sake we wanted. May I suggest looking at sushi menus on the east coast for some ideas and maybe some variety? Also the spicy tuna should be mixed with a spicy mayo. Not just topped with hot sauce.“
“You have to try their Plum wine sake! This is a good sushi place. They have good lunch specials with the bento boxes. We went on Valentines and they were definitely not prepared for the crowd they had but I’ve been before and never had issues with service. Definitely recommend for a casual lunch or dinner.“
“I've been to a lot of sushi/ hibachi grill restaurants. I have been going to lava grill for about 18 years now. They have hands down the best fried rice and the best employees.Kid-friendliness: They have a choice on the menu for children and they have high chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: The handicap parking and ramp is right in front of the restaurant.“
“I always like Hibachi, and this one did not disappoint. I would recommend Hanaya for Hibachi, and their kitchen items are also great. The service was very friendly and attentive. I am looking forward to coming back and trying other menu items like sushi.Kid-friendliness: Hibachi tends to he very entertaining for adults and kids alike.“
“This is by far the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. The staff is always attentive and the owner is the hardest working person you will ever meet. I have brought guest with me from many parts of the world and they have all said that this place is amazing.“
“Not too bad. Ikura was fresh, which is an important sign, as it goes bad easily. Hamachi was good. Nori was a little stale, ginger pickle was a little too spicy, and salad dressing wasn’t typical (and not quite as good as the usual Japanese dressing). The California roll wasn’t the usual either. I’m guessing the restaurant is not Japanese owned. But, overall, ok. Certainly not the best you can get. Good value, because it was on sale. Too expensive at list prices online.“
“I have been coming here since she opened a little over 5 years ago. Or before my daughter was born. It is by far the best sushi I've had in the Fort Worth area and I have tried a lot of other places! This is a privately owned restaurant, so quality is the focus. It is BYOB now so bring some Saki!Parking: Inside a strip mall so there is plenty of parking“
“I got the sushi bento box as takeout from Tsunami and it was delicious!! Definitely great value for money, I could barely finish half the box. The cucumber salad was really crisp and refreshing, gyoza were yummy, and the rolls were all super fresh and delicious. My order was completed super fast and it was an easy pickup. I would definitely order from here again.“
“We’ve driven by this place a million times and finally stopped in for dinner tonight. All I can say is WOW. The food was delicious, our chef was hilarious, and everyone working there was so friendly! It’s a wonderful atmosphere that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. We will be back!“
“This is the best place ever. The price is so cheap compared to everything you can get. Food comes fresh and they have fruit punch my favorite. So many options to choose from. I love their nigiri and gyoza and short ribs. And they have very good green tea ice cream. You won't find another place this cheap for the amount of sushi they offer.“
“Everything we had was wonderful. They were very accommodating with gluten free requests and even had gluten free tempura. I got to enjoy a roll with shrimp tempura, which never happens. The orange chicken was also amazing with a generous serving of chicken and great flavor. Will definitely be back! One of the best restaurants we have been to in a long time.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating with gluten free requests. Had many items available as gluten free that you can’t get elsewhere, like tempura. Our waitress was also very knowledgeable on the menu, what could be gluten free, what couldn’t and why.“
“I ordered here a couple times, so I cannot say anything for the Atmosphere or Service inside the Restaurant. But I got take-out Sushi twice and the Mongolian beef with white rice. The sushi is SO good!! yes, it is pricey but there are still more expensive places around that will take over 20$ for a roll of sushi. I love the New Mexico roll, they have 50 state rolls, but this one is my absolut favorite. The mongolian beef was good as well, just a little oily for some reason. But I will definitely get sushi again soon!“
“My family has spent the last few years looking for what we believe to be the best sushi near us. We all love Cowtown Sushi because of the consistency and quality of their menu. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It's nice enough for a date, but not overly stuffy. The pride in the craft is apparent not only in the taste, but also in the presentation, especially the Mt Fuji roll that has become a must have on the list of rolls we order during a visit. If I had to point out a flaw, it would only be the halogen track lighting, while mostly well controlled and balanced so you can see your food and dining companions a handful of seat positions in the restaurant get the spotlight effect and it can be straining on your eyes.“
“Really loved the group dinner we had here! The food was delicious, and served promptly. From start to finish the cooking process and show is about 45 mins long, then you're party can sit and enjoy. We had a birthday and it was great, they were quick with drink and appetizer orders. I loved it and will be back!“
“Order shishito peppers and spice level 4 of tonkotsu soup. I appreciate the fact the put the extra spicy happiness on the side so I can add as I wish. I wish the green tea temperature was better but as I’m sure they use a pour spout they can’t control that very wellDietary restrictions: Very open and able to accommodate. Take out noodles for low carb, vegetarian options, and what seemed to be a couple low sugar optionsParking: Very open parking lot next to a couple other places and a large parking lot between here and target if you don’t mind walking less than a quarter mile.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, but not to the point it’s over run by kids. Multiple options for them with seats low enough to be comfortable and long benches for multiple kidsWheelchair accessibility: Doors are plenty large enough and large area for ease of wheelchairs. Haven’t seen bathrooms however this is a newer building so assume to be ADA compliant“
“Foster's was a fantastic restaurant to have a date night during Lent. There wasn't anything that we ate that wasn't delicious. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was perfectly cooked with the right amount of crispy batter. The hot sake complemented all of our sushi. The Ahi Tuna Tower was magnificent, the Crispy California Roll was amazing, and the two additional rolls we had were fantastic. Extra attention was given to all special requests to our orders. There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy during our dining experience. We would certainly come back in a heartbeat. If there was a negative experience it was that wasabi was not provided; it had to be requested.Vegetarian options: It is a sushi restaurant so you know that there will be plenty of vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Great options if you are looking for vegetarian dishes.Parking: Plenty of free parking available if you come early enough in the evening.Kid-friendliness: While there is a children's menu, it may not be the best idea to bring young children here to explore beyond the boundaries of what they may typically eat.Wheelchair accessibility: There seemed to be room enough for wheelchair seating. It may be tight in some circumstances. There is not a wheelchair accessible entrance, however.“
“I ordered the Tonkotsu Kuro, it was excellent.I will say, the amount of noodles is a bit disappointing, next time I'll just order extra. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the black garlic flavor was present, but not overpowering. My friend has the Spicy Miso Ramen, and very much enjoyed it.The space seemed a bit on the small side, but they optimized it with the layout.“
“I was stationed in Japan from '04-'06 (Air Force) & I've gone to a lot of different Japanese restaurants here Stateside in an attempt to capture some of the culinary magic I had experienced in the restaurants over there. Mikoto in Southlake is the ONLY Japanese restaurant I've visited here in the U.S. which consistently gives me legit feelings of nostalgia for the restaurants I had the pleasure of experiencing 20 years ago.“
“Awesome experience! I love the menu. It's a mix of sushi, ramen and Japanese fried rice bowls. Perfect for those nights the wife wants sushi and I want something different. The apple roll is unique and great. We also had the cherry blossom for an appetizer. The ramen was great! The broth has lots of flavor and perfect amount of oily texture. The house hot sake is also great Build out inside is nice but you can still dress casual. The staff is very nice and attentive!“
“Their food is high-quality with so many selections. The wait staff are very attentive and engaging. We crave their food offerings weekly because they have something for everyone. Their sushi is to die for! Always fresh. Hopefully, Tokyo Sushi will become your favorite Asian food stop-dine in or carry out.“
