“4J is at the TOP of our favorite places to eat in East Texas. I do my happy dance when I'm there. The owners are always pleasant and courteous. Food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious!!! Can't forget the coconut sweet tea! ?”
“this is the BEST donut shop!! Service, food, and people are the best!! They have the most unique donuts and they’re delicious every time!! The iced white mocha latte is the best too!”
“Their BBQ is phenomenal. My husband got a plate that was loaded down. I got a loaded baked potato both times I have been and both times the potato was enormous and the brisket on top was so juicy. ? Chef's kiss ?!”
“If you like great beer, you MUST stop. If you like a cute, cozy, rustic atmosphere, again, STOP. If you're also into fantastic food and great conversation, this is your place. You won't be disappointed. Chris, Devon, Rachel, and Jenn were all on top of their game, amazing service. It was our first time stopping and our expectations were about that what you can expect from small town Texas, but prepare for those expectations to get smoked just like ours.Wow! We're so happy we made time for this!”
“Food was delicious. I had the spinach stuffed salmon and chocolate cake for dessert. Staff was friendly and attentive.Kid-friendliness: I have grandchildren and the owner and staff are quite friendly with them. Restaurant is somewhat fancy, but dress is very casual.”
“It was a really pleasant place to sit outside & eat Crawfish & Froglegs. Very tasty. Everyone was very nice & checked on us plenty. We'll definitely go back.Kid-friendliness: It has a small enclose play area for children.”
“We came here for the first time and we loved it. The pupusas were so good!!! Everything made fresh and hot. We had a plate of fried yucca that was delicious! The salsa had such great flavor. The ladies that work here were so friendly and inviting. The restaurant is super clean! Will definitely be coming back.”
“Went by here for lunch while traveling for work. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I had the alligator sausage and fries. I will be back anytime I am in the area for sure.”
“Exceptional in every way. Out of this world food with varying specialty items included on the menu. NYC style menu items that are fresher and better than those people cramped up in that dirty old city ever get. Every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. Generous servings. Moderate pricing. Excellent quality. Top notch service. As good as it gets anywhere anytime. Love itParking: Private parking lot. Well lit. Felt safe.Kid-friendliness: High chairs. Children's menu. Most Texas people enjoy seeing the families dining together.Wheelchair accessibility: Not perfect but close enough.”
“The food here is the best in Palestine. These people that own this know how to cook up great food. Even when the deliver your food it’s fast and fresh and hot. So worth the price you pay.”
“Had a date night here. The receptionist looked like she was having a bad day, but our waitress was very chipper and kind, and very mindful and knowledgeable, about being Gluten-Free. The food was really great also. I didn't like how loud the chairs where, when scrapped across the floor, especially when multiple where moved at the same time. Or how one male waitor indulged a table of foul mouthed young "adults" but we will definitely be coming back.”
“I got a shrimp stir fry and red velvet cake+cheesecakeParking: It has like a circle drive in the food truck park market, but there is parking spaces available nearby in the closed donut Palace”
“This is truly Texas. The food is top-notch delicious, and the staff treats everyone like family. Only open weekends, but fortunately, they also sell take-out by the pound.”
“My first experience here was the one I’m going with! I’ve been here twice, once on a warm afternoon: the food was amazing! ? they traded some laughs with me I paid for my food and went my way. The second time was today, y’all were just as ready to get to the house as u was ? (forgot my sauce)”
“I'm not a fan of Greek food but other members of my multi-generational home are and we drove 35 miles to eat here. The restaurant was squeaky clean and the man behind the counter (the owner?) was super nice and helpful to me. I chose a sandwich and he explained it and helped me choose what to put on it. I'm still not a fan of Greek food but the rest of my people absolutely loved it, hence my rating. We will be going back, I'm sure, and I will be eating baklava.”
