Saturday night vibes with karaoke. Good food, friendly crowd, karaoke over too early at 11:30 pm.

This is my bar. But the new owners changed the hours to close at midnight. This is a big deal to all of us locals who come here for a good time. This is a bad move for the customers and the employees. Will change to five stars if the hours change.

Due to the absolute dismal experience my family and I had with End Zone Bar and Grill in Plano, I sadly feel as if my hand is forced to write this review.Being a full time dental student, I traveled in from out of town to spend some rare quality time with my family. Looking for some fun on the 4th of July, and in honor of Nathan’s National Hot Dog Eating Competition, I thought it would be fun to call around to some local spots to find a fun food eating competition to take my family and friends to. After calling around to several places, we settled on End Zone Bar and Grill’s Waffenburger challenge. Having seen some of my favorite YouTubers take on the challenge in the past and being listed on their website, I was more than excited to try it for myself. Unable to reach the staff through their online google chat service (despite my messages having been marked as read), I decided to call ahead and confirm all the details with one of the members on staff prior to making the trek out. To be sure I had a complete understanding of the rules and expectations, I even had a second person call ahead (several hours after me) to confirm the details once again. I shared the upcoming challenge with my friends and family and many of them, myself included, drove over half an hour to attend the attempt.Unfortunately, after being seated in a pretty much vacant (now I know why) and dimly lit bar. We were told by our waiter, who was having to double as the bartender, that they would no longer honor the challenge. When I questioned why, the waiter/bartender stated that contrary to what is stated on their website, on their menu, and by members of the same staff earlier in the day, the challenge had been discontinued. Incredibly disappointed and embarrassed after having had several people drive so far to witness my attempt, I asked if they could at least make the sandwich so I could at least try to appease my friends and have the bragging rights alone. The waiter happily complied and took everyone’s order, including mine, to the back.We sipped on a few beers and tried to reestablish our moral over the course of 15-20 minutes while we waited for our food. After this time had passed the waiter/bartender approached our table and shared with us that the kitchen staff was refusing to make my order, as the challenge had been discontinued. I reinforced that I understood that the challenge had been discontinued, but that I just wanted to try it for my own pleasure. He stated that it did not matter and that the kitchen staff would still not make it. Confused, as the challenge simply consists of three servings of an item that is still active on the menu (a single waffenburger), he said there was nothing he could do, and that the staff was (for some reason) so frustrated that we couldn’t even order the single menu item three times and assemble it ourselves. When I asked to speak to a manager or someone from the kitchen staff, I was told no one would come out to speak with me, even though my party and I had already driven so far and waited an extensive amount of time for our food. The waiter then shared his apologies and insisted that many of his coworkers and managers were known to be incompetent, ignorant, irritating, and unwilling to work or accommodate customers/others on staff. While I certainly would agree, it is incredibly concerning and telling when an establishment’s staff thinks this of their own coworkers, managers, and employees as well.Leaving incredibly tired, hungry, disappointed, frustrated, and with no sort of discount on the few drinks we sipped on while we waited for our food which was never seen, it’s safe to say our experience with End Zone Bar and Grill in Plano ruined our 4th of July holiday and one of the few nights a year I get to spend with my family and friends.Stay away!

Let me preface this by stating that I am I not one to typically take the time to leave a review of a place or a product unless it significantly exceeds or falls short of my expectations. In fact, this is probably one of the few reviews I have ever done in my life, but due to the absolute dismal experience my family and I had with End Zone Bar and Grill in Plano, I sadly feel as if my hand is forced to write this review. Entire staff is AMAZING! Megan is the most incredible bartender but everyone else is also fantastic. Search no longer for the perfect chill hole in the wall, you have found it :)

Update: a/c fixed! Thank you Jordan! 5 star bar again!!This has been our favorite bar for years. However, we are sitting in the patio sweating our a's off and we requested the manager to pull the shades. Nope-he will move our table, too much work to pull the shades. Hey, where are the portable a/c units they've had for years?? They are missing in action. Darren and his crew (who have been here for years$ are fantastic, but this new management needs some customer service training. The food continues to be awesome, but the new mgmt needs to get it together!!

Update-air is chillin'-a/c is working on the patio. Jordan to the rescue! We appreciate being heard!

Such a fun bar! Feels like Cheers on week nights. The staff is super nice, and on top of things Karaoke Night is fun and there is really some amazing talent! You should check it out!!

Nice bar, not crowded, good TVs and food. Always a decent crowd without being packed. Consistent wait staff. Good drinks. Very laid back.

Drinks were good... and they have a large and heated outdoor patio for those who need a cigarette when drinking.Update 5/15/22 - came back today with another group of friends. Just as much fun on a Sunday afternoon as a Saturday night.

Megan is the best bartender I’ve ever experienced. Had the best time with her serving drinks. To top it off, Jordan the manger was friendly and made our group feel we were part of the bar. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Great local bar! Its getting harder and harder for me to find a bar where I can walk in and the bartenders like Megan who take the time to remember your name. Everyone who works here is great, and the regulars are a cool crowd.

I come here often and only recently had food. Well, I had no idea they have a proper chef creating fantastic food! I have always had great cocktail waitresses and badass bartenders, and now that I know the food freakin rocks, it's like a whole new experience! And usually I don't dig karaoke, but almost all the people who sang were actually really good! I mean I thot they must be having a contest for the best, but it was just a talented bunch of people. Way to go Plano! And definitely my FAVE bar!
