Over 40 years of the best Sea Food and Deserts in Texas. Sadly to say Fishmongers closed this past Sunday. It is my understanding that the Landlord wanted the owner to sign another long term lease and Jim just didn't have it in him. COVID and hiring caused a lot of problems for all owners. Jim and Patty many years of Happy Retirement, you deserve it.

Hell no ! The owner is one big j*** - my club has been meeting at this place for a long time and tonight "HE" walked into our meeting and started screaming at our President / just for asking a server if he was closing down at the end of the year. We had some 23 people in the room and he was so very unprofessional and rude - He should close down and be out of business for his actions. The food is not that good and we have a much better place to meet with very good food. And he requested that we never meet at his location ever again.

Giant butterflied coconut shrimp ? appetizer and dipping sauce was awesome. And my fish and chips were delicious. First time in so the bar tender let me sample a small amount of gumbo. Definitely gonna have to go back to try more of the menu.

OMG The best place for dinner and lunch. Everything is fresh and delicious. The waitstaff are friendly and answered all my questions. I had the Clam Chowder and I was sorry I only ordered a cup. Next time it will be a bowl. And of course we had the bread pudding for dessert. If you haven't tried Fish Mongers you must!!!

Went back after many years...before they moved to new location. Remember now why I haven't been back. For the size of the grilled salmon offered, the price should have been half what they charge and it seemed like it was not really fresh. Service was good but I left still being hungry and disappointed. With the number of seafood restaurants around they certainly offer nothing special. Looks like the bar area which was busy is why they still are around.

2nd time here and i must say I was impressed! I ordered the Pontchartrain and my girl ordered the baked salmon and BOTH are phenomenal. Gary the bartender was awesome and when I say he doesn't hold back on the margaritas definitely coming back!

Had dinner with my son today .Was an amazing experience! From our server Shawn that was always smiling, always checking on us on time he was honestly the best server I ever had (and I’m old lol) to amazing chef! From the Cesar salad to the hamburger and great fish and chips were cooked perfectly, Had to give positive feedback to manager, it was a great experience! You can notice your staff is happy working for you. Will definitely come back!

My mom and I were trying out new restaurants and we came here and oh my goodness. It was the best decision to go to! Our waitress Makayla was absolutely amazing. gave us the best options and even more when we left. Will definitely be coming here again and hopefully have the same wonderful waitress!! :)

Good food. Not quite Fish City Grill but still decent food.

A Plano staple, I've never had a bad meal at Fishmonger. Waiter was fantastic, even though we were not really dressed for the stop. But my brother lives seafood. Biled shrimp app was cook to perfection. The Cajun pasta was spot on (and pasta cooked to perfection) I had seafood quesadillas. Best I've ever had. I noticed a lot of diversity among clientele. Several were elderly and staff went out of their way to make them comfortable. Just really great staff who displayed kindness to all guests. Nicely impressed.

If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would.Yesterday, June 19th, my brothers and I wanted to treats our dad to a Father’s Day dinner. When we walked in the restaurant and we were immediately seated, and that was the only decent customer service we received during our time there. As stated, we were seated and given menus to look over. Before I continue I want to share where exactly we were seated so those reading can get the big picture. My family and I were seated SLAP DAD IN THE MIDDLE OF DINING AREA, seated a tables away for the fireplace. So, if you’ve ever been to this restaurant you know how central and visible we were seated in the restaurant. We were not tucked off in a corner or behind a wall, we were in the center of the dining area. Mind you, yes it was Father’s Day, but remember we were seated immediately so the restaurant was not overly crowded or busy. So, we are seated, and time passes. 5 minutes…no waiter. 10 minutes…no waiter. 15 minutes…no waiter. And during this time there are two waiter (both white with long brown hair, both wearing trucker style hats, one with a black cross earring in his left ear and another I believe with glasses and maybe a shoulder tattoo) had passed us multiple times serving/delivering food and drinks, and checking on customers. Not once did either of these customer service professional stop and acknowledge us; they did not introduce themselves as our waiter or bring us water while we sat and looked at the menu. Finally, enough time had passed where we refused to seat any longer. So, before getting up and leaving my dad ask the waiter with the earring if I server would be to our table soon and the waiter had no real response. He said that he had no idea we were there/or waiting and he would find our waiter to get us helped. Several things were wrong with his response. One being this young man was the one who told the host when and where to seat us. Two, he had passed us multiple times to assist other customers. And three, even if he was not our waiter he didn’t even ask if needed anything while continued to wait or say he would bring us waters while we waited, he just walked away.So we left. As a said in the beginning of this review it was Father’s Day and we wanted to treat our dad. He has been to this restaurant prior and enjoyed it, and decided that was where we wanted to go on his special day. To say we were disappointment could not fully described how we felt. We felt disrespected and treated as though we were invisible. And I will end by saying this my brothers, father and I are black and most the staff and patrons do not look like us, and it was clear that those who did not go like us received the attention and respect deserved by anyone seeking to pay for stellar food and customer service…take that how you would like.

We really wanted to like this place but it was very mediocre. The shrimp etouffee roux was completely off. The shrimp creole was not good. The casear salad dressing was off.Service was good and restaurant was bright and clean.
