It’s a shame this place got new Management, no wonder the place is temporarily closed. Whoever took over needs to look at the previous reviews and take notes on how to actually run the restaurantI used to come here with family and friends all the time, it really is a shame it went to shambles. It went from best Kbbq in Plano to nothing

Placed order online, payed, showed up to a closed store with all the lights off. It’s 8pm but says open until 10. They accepted my payment for food and sent confirmation email saying food ready in 25-30min….

Really enjoy eating AYCE HOT POT here. It's not a fancy restaurant but there are plenty of options to choose from. Service is good. There are self serve stations for sauce, veggies, seafood, and etc excluding Meats would be order at the table. Their Broth is flavorful and each person gets their own pot which is great. I been here couple times when visiting Dallas area. Will come back when I visit Dallas again.

I have been a regular customer at gogiya for 2 years now. Lately, it’s been very disappointing every time I come to eat here. Gogiya is becoming worse & worse. I wasn’t going to write a review, but then saw a review that I 100% agree with & decided to write. I think it’s long overdue.- BBQ option A only available for lunch on Fridays. I had to choose option B, which is more expensive. Then the server mentioned “number this, this, this, and this is not available”. You are forcing people to go with a more expensive option while you don’t have most of the item selection available?!? Ridiculous. Ripping off people.- Meat was cut very small & very thin. It was the worse meat quality I’ve ever had in Gogiya. My patience were thicker than these meat cuts!!- I ordered soybean soup (doenjang jiggae) I had to ask for it 3-4 times and it only came out when I was done eating. Soup had 2 pcs of tofu in it, And it looked like sewer water. A korean restaurant messing up soybean soup this bad is a problem.- Server checked on us ONE TIME. Did not refill our water. I had to stand up and look for them every time i needed something.- The worst cucumber side dish. It was mushyyy. Probably has been in the fridge for a long time.- There are a lot a other problems. AC was not working, tables were dirty. Almost no napkins. No spoons.I think Gogiya has a new owner. This owner needs to make changes if they want to keep this restaurant open. Don’t be cheap & cut corners when you do business! There was a guy named Santos who worked there. The new servers said he was fired. Well, that was probably your biggest mistake. All 3 of your new teenage servers performed worse than Santos alone. If you’re looking to eat KBBQ here, RUN AWAY & go eat at Gen, moodaepo, seapot, jin, or other KBBQ place. $30 for KBBQ here is not worth it!!!

Food is okay but servers are very caring. However, they never have enough meats. Prices are okay because most of the Kbbq place is around this price.

We used to go to gogiya all the time. I believe they are under new management now and is doing a terrible job. I’m never coming back. Anyways, this is why:- As soon as we walked in, the restaurant was so hot—it was 90 degrees outside and not even sure if the AC is working.- Table was dirty, definitely not wiped properly- They made changes in the pricing. You can no longer choose for KBBQ option A (except for friday lunch), so we had to go for the option B that cost $27.99. Very upsetting because we have been coming here for a cheaper kbbq option. At this point I might as well go to better places.- Sat and placed our meat orders only to find out they only had like 80% of the stuff listed on the menu- Ran out of sesame oil (what kind of korean bbq runs out of sesame oil???)- Ordered corn cheese, it took forever for it to come out—finally got served to us —but burned- Waiter very rarely checked on us, I believe every 20 minutes. No water was filled- We came at 8 pm, the restaurant closes at 10 pm. The waiter didn’t really check on us until about 9pm and went ahead and told us it will be last order. We ordered meat and tofu soup. Another guy came out of the kitchen telling us “I THINK we don’t have anymore tofu soup”. I believe they just don’t want to deal with it because we did get one serving of tofu soup on our first order. So we told him it’s fine. But then our first waiter brought out the soup?? (Where’s the communication?)- For the entire time we’re dining, all the tables around us were dirty and nobody was actively cleaning. Like where are these people??- Lastly, the guy named Santos that used to work there under previous management did a way BETTER JOB than the three guys that was there last night. He single handedly managed the entire restaurant, sometimes with no help at all. overall, yall are so petty. Increasing the price but provide a terrible service and telling us “we don’t have this we don’t have that”. Not coming back and waste of money

It was just ok. One issue was that it was dirty, like the wall next to my face had splatter all over it and had clearly not been cleaned in ages. Makes you wonder what else they don’t clean well. There was also water or something on the floor and I slipped really badly. The biggest issue was how hot it was inside. I understand it’s ridiculously hot outside and AC is really expensive, but when you’re cooking at your table you need it to be cooler than 90 degrees (or more) inside. We were sweating and felt sick it was so hot. Maybe they can bring in fans or something but it was just not enjoyable to eat under those circumstances.

This entire place is sticky and gross. We were the only people here for two hours and nobody wiped a thing. It looks like nobody cleans here. The meat was alright, the service was fine, but please clean something. The sauce station looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Splatterings of sauces hardened to a crust. One other party came in and was sat next to us, looked around, got up and left. This place is empty and it's probably because it's dirty looking. They turned our bbq off at 9 and didn't have any diet drinks.Added a photo of the wall at our table

All the sticky table and everywhere gross me out. Salad bar is so dirty. Meat is not fresh and comes with awkward color. Server Not well instructed for the menu. Had to pay more than I had. Need to be improved.

I knew the price was too good to be true but decided to try it since I was already in the area. I came for lunch for the hotpot option. They didn't have half of the soup bases listed on the menu. The quality of the meat was decent at best. The vegetables didn't look fresh at all and options were limited.

Wanna eat the worst Korean bbq? Then this is the place!!! They were empty on a Saturday and we asked all the spicy meats from the menu but nothing had flavor and asked the waitress why there’s no spice on the meat ? She said ‘have you not been here before’?The Korean and Katsu chicken at the self serve was nowhere to find. I give this place one star and never coming back lolSo many other places serve so much better food at the same price and their staff is so sweet too!

Great value, good food, would recommend!Similar to Shabro and Manna in Carrollton Hmart & Jin AYCE BBQ. No need to drive all the way to carrollton k-town anymore. There are 3 options (price in ascending order): 1) hot pot /shabu shabu only 2) AYCE BBQ only and 3) both together. We got the hot pot option, and it was an excellent value and very affordable.Plenty of fresh ingredients: lots of vegetables, mushrooms, meats, and seafood (crab, shrimp, octopus, squid, crawfish, mussels, clams etc etc). They even have minari (watercress 미나리)!! I haven't seen that at other hotpot places. We noticed they added pork bone potato soup (감자탕) during our recent visit.

Amazing meat quality for ALL YOU CAN EAT type restaurants. Have all the Korean style side dishes, also included in the price already. 12 different meat, chicken, beef, lamb and pork. We mainly ordered beef, and it is fantastic. Shrimps are also fresh. The soup base could be better, though.
