Some of the foods are too salty too. The Server is only One. Need More Helper for fast Service. Okey

Walking into Kainan Sa Laguna was like visiting an auntie’s house for a home cooked meal. Unpretentious, relaxed, with Filipino soap operas playing on the TV.For the savory items, I got pinakbet, menudo, diniguan, and lumpia Shanghai. Everything was pretty tasty, albeit slightly on the oily side. The lumpia was fresh out of the fryer when I got them, crisp with a well-seasoned filling. The real star of my meal, however, was the “sweet” part—the puto. This isn’t your typical cake flour puto. Theirs is made the old school way with rice flour. The (I assume) owner says it’s a three day process, which involves her grinding the rice by hand. You can really tell by the texture of it. It’s fluffy in an imperfectly perfect kind of way and slightly sticky/chewy with a kiss of sweetness. It was really a delightful experience.I’ll definitely come back when I’m looking for a comforting meal to “bring me home.”

I discovered this place yesterday and it was a hit! The gentleman owner was very friendly and helpful. He explained to me how to order quick set meals. I mistakenly ordered Uber while I was eating thinking it would take a while before my ride arrives, but the ride arrived after 2 minutes, so I could not finish my meal, but the lady owner was very kind and gave me lids and bag so I could take my food to-go instead. I experienced a real Tagalog hospitality and it was heart-warming! By the way, ginataang lanka was the bomb! Looking forward to try more dishes, but I wish I live closer.

Great and kind folks. Food is always consistent and hits the spot. Try sisig and some deserts on the side if it's your first time.

The worst service I have received in the area of any establishment by far. If you don't want to own/work in the restaurant business, then don't. But to be so rude to patrons willing to spend money with you is disgusting. Yes this is about the woman at the front who all the bad reviews are about.

Kainan sa Laguna is a Filipino restaurant and the name means Dining in Laguna.I ordered "Ampalaya" dish, a sauteed bitter melon, mixed with garlic, onions, scrambled eggs, pork, and tomatoes. It was flavorful and does not have the expected bitter taste.I learned about the healing properties of bitter melon many years ago when my blood glucose started to go up.It is available in tablet form or tea. As a food, it is prepared fresh and with the right ingredients, it becomes a delicious and healthy dish.

The old lady in here is so rude. Whenever we go this place she’s always rude or call to ask their menu no difference she’s rude she will hang up telling I’m busy or ending up you’ll just literally had to hang up cos she’s not gonna get back to you. I understand maybe there’s something going on maybe busy or something but please please you are in America please check your manners. If you want your business to get popular to the people aside from having a great food its also comes with good service. Don’t bring your attitude here.

Very rude service. Called and inquired about availability of Kare-Kare, was told to check Facebook and while I was asking another question she hung up on me.

Rude staff. Better Filipino restaurants around.

Found out that they kept saying they were out of certain basic items (pancit, lumpia, adobo) to avoid serving my son in law.... he's African American with several visible tattoos... daughter is Mexican... they walked out

Good food, reasonably priced set in a friendly and welcoming environment. The staff's friendly and caring attitude along with their aim to please every appetite gives it a warm feeling of being home.
