Having dined at this restaurant in the past and having a very positive experience, my family thought they'd order out some food from here to go. It was a little difficult placing an order, but we got it in, and it didn't take too long to be done. Since I have an allergy to nuts, I specifically requested no nuts in the dishes I ordered for myself just to be safe, even if they weren't supposed to contain nuts. I brought my food home, and it all looked great, and I, as well as my family, found the food good for the most part; I thought it was spicy, but that was not on them as I forgot to request mild on my tandoori chicken. This is when things start to go south though, around 2 hours after finishing my meal, I broke out in awful hives and was red all over, and it was very clear I was having a reaction from nuts. I believe cashews or pistachios were to blame as those nuts only cause hives for me. Other than a breakfast I made for myself, I knew I had no nuts; the food from here is the only thing that could've caused it. Thankfully I was able to stop the reaction without having to go to the ER, but this is a sign that there is not much handwashing going on in the kitchen after handling other dishes or cross-contamination in the kitchen. This is unacceptable when specifically requesting no nuts, and because of this, I will not be ordering from here or returning again. If you don't have allergies, the food is good, but if you do avoid this one, it's not worth risking it.

We were looking for good Indian food during our visit to Dallas, and tried Kumar's. It was excellent! We really enjoyed all of the dishes - some of the best Indian food which we've had in a while

Eating here was really an experience. My Indian friend took me and explained every dish they served. The variety of food is impressive and the servers are always offering more food. They have many ingredients to taste. Everyone eats with their hands! it was fun

Visiting family in and around Dallas. We met our daughter here for dinner. The place was dark. They were a little busy. It took quite a while for the waitress to come to our table. She was steadily studying her digital order taker/cash register. She finally came to the table asked if we were ready. We ordered. The food was temperature hot good. The spices were way more than we expected. The portion sizes were good. Flagging someone down for our ticket was also work. If it weren't for the lack of service attention I could have given a higher star rating. But customer service is key.

Wow. This was an experience. The food the service both commendable. The mutton curry and the pan are worth trying. The veg selection was also great. Highly recommended

This place is crowded on weekends as they offer eat as much as you can. Weekend meals lack taste though they are fresh. Pros: Quantity, service, ambiance. Cons: Crowd, lacks taste, less choice of food. I would recommend to try once.

They don't treat you well.I went today and waited for 30 min. They not even coming to my place for order. They claimed non veg meal but they didn't serve it properly. They treating me like unwanted guest.I invited owner and explained the situation. He said that sorry.we do not have much people and I am taking care of everything.i asked him some fish fry and one more item. he didn't show up untill I finish my food. I used to go Kumar often last year.since they treat very well.I think that new management only concentrate on money. If they continue like this, they will miss repeated customer.I really don't know how to give minus one rating????? Kumar ::::Please take care of your customer....without them, you are nothing

We visited this places and ordered non-veg thali. It took almost 45 minutes for them to serve it. The food was average. They don't serve everything on the menu. The whole experience was disappointing.
