The ONLY thing that was unacceptable was the fact that EVERY server that came close to our table would NOT make eye contact. We had reservations and were seated within 10 minutes. While we were waiting for our table, other groups were coming in without reservations. We were seated, but after 30 minutes of not getting acknowledgement, I finally waved down the reservation manager at the front desk. He ended up serving us and did a good job. The food was excellent as always. But it did NOT erase the fact that two or three servers totally ignored us. There were two tables leaving and had already signed their checks and people who did not have a reservation were enjoying their beverages but we still had not been acknowledged, let alone served anything. The manager would do well to train his employees and tell them what I told my grown family members working as servers. Never, ever ignore customers. Make eye contact and put your finger up to indicate you saw them and will get to them soon. Then do your best to, at the very least get them water. The dinner ended up being great, but the first part of the dinner left a lot to be desired. And yes. I have served. As a waitress and a flight attendant.

Had last minute Valentine's reservation and Mah Jong really came through (as always). The wait staff was busy busy but attentive to all. Food was excellent and fresh, wine was flowing. Thanks so much, Mah Jong, for always coming through !

The most consistently excellent restaurant in our experience. Food and service are always amazing! Many regulars and often quite busy! We continue to try new dishes each visit and all are delicious and worthy of recommendation. We love this place and always look forward to a great night out at Mah-Jong.

We have been dining at Mah Jong ever since they opened. They are one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. We did notice on our last visit though that the portion size of all of our appetizers and entrees has decreased in size. Not happy about that since the prices are not inexpensive.

This our family's go-to Chinese Restaurant in Plano. The food is excellent, the service is amazing, the waitstaff is so friendly and attentive. Can not recommend enough that if you are looking for amazing Chinese food that you try them out!!

Although the food was good because it was New Years Eve they did not tell us that they were closing early (8:15). We had a 7:45 reservation so they rushed us through dinner and we could not order the dish that we wanted because the kitchen was closing. Worse than that there was a family eating dinner with a small child who was running around the restaurant yelling and screaming. His father thought he was so cute and proceeded to chase him around and encourage the behavior. Everyone in the restaurant was annoyed but the owners did nothing to quell the behavior. All in all it was a miserable dining experience and we will think twice before returning to Mah-Jong Chinese restaurant!

We went on Christmas Day. First time customers. Had reservations and sat right away. Restaurant was mostly full. Once seated we waited a long time for anyone to come. Had to waive someone down after 20 mins. I know they were busy so we tried to be understanding. After that service was decent. Food was wonderful!!! We enjoyed all our dishes. Overall food was an 8/10. We will return!
The chicken dumplings were a hit with my wife and daughter. My son loved his sesame chicken and I LOVED the noodle dish I ordered (I cannot recall which one it was). Typically all 4 of us have trouble choosing food and liking it. Not on this day! Perfect meal for our family ❤️. The service was out of this world too!! I can't tell you what was better, the service or the food. All of my family members already are asking to go back.
Mah-Jong has consistently provided great food in a friendly atmosphere since opening years ago. We go frequently and have never been disappointed. We frequently start is seared potstickers followed by “red devil beef” and pork moo shoo. We have sampled quite a few other dishes on the menu as well, and all have been delicious.

Mah-Jong is a great upscale Chinese food restaurant with a menu sure to please almost anyone. Personal favorites include the lettuce wraps, spring rolls, Red Devil Shrimp, and Lemongrass Shrimp. The service is always phenomenal and it makes a night out meail!

Food was excellent except my Mussel dish....fine till I got to the bottom - about 1/2 dozen weren't open! I've read and been told never eat the closed ones that haven't opened from steaming/cooked! Now why all those were on bottom? Usually one or two at times but all at bottom? I did lightly complain.....they looked and took them away! But brought them back opened! Myth or not I wasn't taking a chance! Great place I've enjoyed for years but not going back! At least say sorry or compensate somewhat. Very disappointed!

It was our first visit to this resturant. Overall our experience was great! We will definitely return. As a new customer, we looked at the menu for specifics on how the food is prepared, included items and had an idea what to expect. On our next visit we get something with a little more zest to it! I'm sure that will be the best for us. It's a great resturant and all staff were extremely friendly, making for a great experience.

The chicken wraps and Orange Beef were delicious. We wanted the Pan fried noodles our neighboring table was having. We asked the server for it. He asked with beef, pork or shrimp. We ordered shrimp and it was not at all like the next tables. It was swimming in a gluey, unappetizing sauce. They would not take it back. That was disappointing.
