We went for a Sunday lunch, having been to this restaurant many times before. Service was prompt and efficient. Although this location has an outdoor patio, we elected indoor seating. Ambient noise was low enough to comfortably permit conversation at a normal volume. We tried some dishes we hadn't had before and were pleasantly surprised. The Cocina 'Changa was especially appealing. If you enjoy Mexican food but would like something that deviates a little from the standard fare, you'll enjoy this place.

Fantastic Tex-Mex restaurant. The salsa was flavorful with a tiny kick of heat and the chips were thick and crunchy. The steak nachos were fantastic with generous amounts of meat and their fish tacos were tasty. The ribeye fajitas were a bit pricey but the quality of the meat ore than made up for it. To top it off, service was great with a perfect balance of checking in on us without breathing down our necks. Highly recommend!

First time trying Tex-Mex in the US and it was delicious!! ??You also get free chips with a great sauce!! But the best part of this restaurant was the service and attention we got from our waiter, I can't remember his name but if more restaurants had staff like him, the world would be a better place! We were a big table with a baby and he was amazing! Would definitely recommend coming here to anyone!

We had a delicious lunch at Mi Cocina today. Angie gave excellent service! She was very friendly and attentive. The chips and queso were very tasty. I had the Rico salad with fajita chicken. It was very fresh and delicious. My husband had the Cocina changa, which he loved. The rice and beans were very good, as well. They also make a yummy top shelf frozen margarita. I definitely recommend this location.

My friend and I love to come here almost once a week because of the delicious drinks and especially the variety of food on their menu! Our server, Chance, has always done an amazing job at putting in our orders exactly how we want it. I’m pretty health conscious when it comes to food I eat, so I’m a bit picky when I order anywhere; however, Chance always takes my order with a smile and is very helpful when I have questions about the menu. Thank you Mi Cocina for having such great food and drinks, and thank you Chance for always making the experience at Mi Cocina an enjoyable one!Vegetarian options: Mi Cocina can easily adjust any dish to be vegetarian, just ask for substitutes like black beans or more vegetables instead.Dietary restrictions: I usually get the grouper fish tacos here with no tortillas and I actually prefer it that way. Like an upgraded chilies. Big amounts and happy overall. Frozen margaritas were solid. Highly recommended if you're looking for Mexican in the area

They have done a great job with lighting, decor, and mirrors, not to mention that it's situated right off a pretty little lake with a lovely water fountain and bridge
My waiter could have been better. But food is wonderful. The staff is nice and helpful. They really know the menu. Some entrees are really spicy. Make sure you ask because the descriptions don't tell you. Ingredients were fresh and food came out hot

The mark of a good place is how they handle problems and Mi Cocina did a great job. One of our party ordered the grouper. It tasted like it had been salted twice by accident. The manager had it remade promptly and the second one was much less salty. I had the brisket tacos and the Mambo Taxi Margarita and both were awesome. The Nachos Locos were great, too. Absolutely delicious food, top quality, and presented well!

There are several MiCocina near my home however I always visit the Lakeside, Plano location because the bartender Tito is AMAZING! He always makes me feel right at home. He's attentive although the bar is full. The food is awesome and the drinks are even better.Kid-friendliness: There is an outside area where my daughter plays with other kids.
