Phenomenal food, great experience! Went for the lunch buffet around noon on a friday: super chill and quiet, very nice staff, the buffet was clean and clearly labeled, the food was fresh and hot, and oh man was it delicious. Highly recommend the saag paneer, chana masala, and the tandoori chicken. At ~$14 per person, I seriously recommend anyone within distance to try Mumtaz's lunch buffet. So so good, I'll definitely be coming back =)

Excellent lunch buffet with tasty options! I enjoyed the mixed veg dish, the goat curry and the Chana masala the most!!It’s also awesome that they have grilled peppers for you at the beginning of the buffet so you can add spice to the food! Can’t wait to return!!!

Tried their lunch buffet, limited options but much better for the price compared to other competitors. Liked the paneer mutter, chicken tikka and goat curry all other options were ok. For people expecting pure authentic taste may not like it here. Chicken biryani was not that good. But some one wanting to taste multiple items and not want to eat more, this is perfect place within budget. Spacious inside

Consistently good lunch buffet. The tandoori chicken and chicken boti is soooo good and they always have a variety of vegetable dishes that are so good. Naan is always delicious as well.

I'm an African-American that loves Indian food. I was skeptical about ordering from this restaurant as I did see a few bad reviews. The seasoning was on point, the samosas were not overcooked or undercooked. Everything was flavorful and tasted scrumptious. I think that I got a good amount of food for the money

My wife and I have had the pleasure of dining at Mumtaz Indian Restaurant multiple times, and each visit has been nothing short of amazing. What sets Mumtaz apart for us is the consistency and quality of their food; it's the only place we've found where we can order the same dish every day and it's just as perfect and delicious as the first time we tried it. The dining atmosphere is equally impressive, offering a welcoming vibe that enhances the overall experience. We particularly enjoyed their lunch buffet, which not only provided a fantastic selection of dishes but also offered incredible value. Where you might pay around $16 per plate elsewhere, Mumtaz's buffet allows you to enjoy a variety of dishes for just $13. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable with our seating and continuously checked in to make sure everything was to our liking. Their friendliness and hospitality significantly contributed to our enjoyable experience. An unexpected benefit was the quiet atmosphere inside the restaurant, which allowed our son to sleep peacefully throughout our meal. This attention to a comfortable and serene dining environment is something we deeply appreciated. The Biryani at Mumtaz is a must-try; it's exceptional and a testament to the culinary prowess of the kitchen. Overall, Mumtaz Indian Restaurant has earned a special place in our hearts, and we eagerly look forward to our next meal here. I wholeheartedly recommend Mumtaz to anyone looking for outstanding Indian cuisine coupled with a great dining experience. We plan to keep coming back for as long as we can.

We came around an hour before they closed the buffet, however they allowed us to take our time, worth the trip from Uptown Dallas........service is impeccable, food is fantastic, location is easy to get to. love them.

Solid 4.0 stars. The naan here was perfect. So much so that we were all stuffed after doing a fair share of sopping up the delicious curries with the naan. Lunch buffet is on the small size at $14.95 per person, but the flavors were very enjoyable. Service was consistent with their team topping off waters and clearing plates from the table. A few smiles and pleasantries would easily bump the service to 5.0 stars. Inside was clean but without much decor. Overall, we very much enjoyed a Christmas Indian buffet lunch here and would definitely come back in the future.Vegetarian options: Saag paneer was yummy. Small but tasty salad bar available during the lunch buffet.

My fiancé and I discovered Mumtaz a couple of years ago, and it has been our go to Indian food spot ever since! We absolutely love their beef masala, naan, and mango lassi. Everything we have tried has been very good! It’s the perfect comfort meal when you’re too busy to cook.

Got takeout this morning as soon as they opened. Forgot my wallet home to pickup my food but I put my name and number on the order. I go to pick it up and the guy was like “you need to show me the receipt” I could literally see the order on the counter…because it was the only one?? Like I was lying about who I was or something. I was like ok fine, go out to my car, and grabbed my phone and came back in and he didn’t even ask to see the receipt, he asked me for my first and last name. Like that’s what I was trying to do before, why are we going in circles?? Rude as hell and abrasive. Made me feel so weird and like I needed to get out of there before he smacked me or something. Not sure what I did wrong lol. I got butter chicken and garlic naan. No flavor honestly, gonna go home and add some stuff to it to salvage it. Naan was good and mango lassi was delicious. Not good enough to go back though.

Buffet was amazing, they have all the classic items that made me fall in love with Indian food, like naan, goat curry, chicken masala, and rice pudding. Could have eaten all day.
