It was a fun, cool looking place but ended up being very noisy. Hard to hear each other talk but we made it work. The food was just ok. There were 5 of us and only 2 of our meals were worth mentioning. Pepperoni pizza and Braised beef short ribs. We did order the meatballs and charcuterie board which were both good. The scallops were just ok with way too much risotto and not enough scallops ( 3 very small ones). The bolognese had way too much all spice or ginger because my daughter said it tasted like a gingerbread cookie. It was unusual. The Veal Francese was very plain. No flavor and the sauce was bland. The spinach it came with was barely wilted and drowning in olive oil. The flavor of the food was just off and some of the items we would not recommend. For 5 of us with a few appetizers, 2 salads, 5 meals and desserts for 3, our bill was about $300 including tip. And we all drank water. No alcohol or drinks. A little overpriced for what we got.

Wonderful local place in Plano! Went for a quick lunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised! My penne arrabbiata was phenomenal! I ate every bite! The restaurant was VERY clean and the staff was super friendly! I do hear they have happy hour so I will definitely go back for that!

Set a set a table that was designed for four people instead of seven did not have a place for my food was not given a plate. When I ordered pizza I did not have the wine I wanted the server brought our food cold. It was just a nightmare then I got an awful stomachache all night long.

Came here before for our anniversary and had a great time. Garlic Flatbread, bolognese, lobster fra diavolo. Food was great.Came again for my mother's birthday and not so much. Food did come out quick, appetizers were good but The server did not check on us after dropping our entrees even after he asked if we wanted fresh parm to which we said yes please. Never refilled our waters and seemed to be more attentive to other the other tables. My girlfriend got the bolognese again since she loved it but this time it tasted totally different. It had a heavy liquorice aftertaste as if someone just threw a handful of anise into it instead of a subtle hint. After 2 forkfulls we couldn't get the taste out of our mouth. Everything else was just OK. Would have really appreciated the fresh parm if he had come back to check on us.

Our server, Melissa, was excellent. The scallop dinner was flavorful, and the salmon was very good but slightly over cooked. We were pleased at the lower noise level on this evening. Princi Italia is so popular that it is normally packed and noisy as a result. I wish there were gluten free options.

We have been coming here since they opened in 2015. The food never disappoints. The general manager and partner, Jose, is always cordial and the service is great. My favorites are the veal Frances's and the Orechiette with house made sausage and rapini. Order any of their salads with tomatoes in it and you will get extraordinary tomatoes. I love the tomato, buffalo mozzarella salad.

We enjoy coming but sometimes the ambiance is just not there with the crowd. Dishes are sometimes hit or miss , our plates felt rushed like somebody carried them and tripped or lost their balance. All food pushed to one side. Kind of expensive for the quality.

We enjoyed our meal at Princi Italia. The food was excellent. It was obvious our waiter was a little overwhelmed since it was Valentine's Day and very busy, but he was very nice and gracious. We would return.

If you are using Open Table you are looking for a reservation, not a place on a formal wait list. At 6:30 last night our reservation choices in the main dining room were: 7:00, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, 8:00, 8:15, and 8:30. We chose 8:00, and arrived at 8:00, expecting a half full restaurant based on the times available. We were seated at 8:30. No one was seated before us. They were overbooking and hoping for the best. Very apologetic, but apologies only go so far while you are standing for 30 minutes and waiting for a table. Why stand? If I am being made to wait when I have a reservation my policy is to make sure everyone in the restaurant can see me waiting. And wonder why. During our wait we had the opportunity to watch the restaurant in action. They had a very cool cone cheese grater that was brought out when parmesan was requested. A little more work than a server scooping it out of a bowl but good theatre and a better product. When it was our turn for parmesan the server brought out a bowl and scooped it onto the pasta. Guess a 30 minute wait wasn't deserving of the full experience. Back to Kenny's Italian where it's hard to get a weekend reservation because they take them seriously. And everyone gets cheese grated at the table.

Great management of course with Greg.... always greets us with a smile and a chat.... food was terrific as always, only thing Princi Italian missed on this visit was that I was redeeming a birthday gift for $25 from the restaurant that was not mentioned throughout my entire visit.... would have been nice, but will still eat at Prince Italia again.

Princi Italia has consistently tasty dishes. We started with calamari and shrimp appetizer, they add peppers to the mix which adds a nice zing. Their Caesar salad is excellent with a tangy dressing and shaved Parmesan. The entrees were excellent, lemon sole piccata had a perfectly crispy crust topped with crab meat and capers and a zucchini and stewed tomato side. The porcini and Chianti braised short rib with pappardelle pasta was rich and satisfying. Our waiter Gerardo was top notch, helpful and attentive throughout the meal.

Absolute awful - we have been going to Princi Italia (original at Preston and Royal) for decades. This location is terrible. The drink was awful. The wait service was lackadaisical at best. It took forever to get our meal. The food was awful. I have no idea how this restaurant stays open.
