I’m only giving one star because of my experience on the days following Christmas. The cupcakes, cake and cookies are outstanding. But I came by the bakery a day or so after Christmas on several occasions to find the bakery was closed. There was no notice or sign, stating that they would be closed on any particular day after Christmas nor was there any notice stating when they would open up, there were also several other customers coming and being disappointed in the same way. I also called and there was no answer or recorded message. Please give notice next time so people are not wasting their time and gas coming to your bakery and it’s closed and at least let us know when you’re gonna open back upEdit:Thanks so much for the response and information! I am fairly new to the area and have just discovered your wonderful bakery. It is great to give your staff a break. We were just not informed of it and visited your bakery several times during that. I have noticed your day and I appreciate your response. See you soon.

Used them to provide the desserts for my daughter’s Alice in Wonderland themed sweet sixteen bday party & can I just say WOW!I was beyond blown away with all the creations they made from a few simple pictures I sent virtually.They understood the assignment! & everything was absolutely delicious..not a bite left behind. ?

I was really WOWED by this bakery! I wanted to get a cool cake for my husband's birthday and Sugar Ray's exceeded my expectations in both the successful execution of the design and the taste of the cake.I placed an inquiry on their website for a cake and I included a few pictures for reference. I was looking for a stylized cartoon cake. In addition to the photos (inspo from Pinterest) I also wrote a brief description of what I wanted. Shortly thereafter, someone from the bakery called to follow up and confirm that the cake could be made. I was quoted a price and asked for a credit card number to hold it. I placed the order on Wednesday for pick up on Friday afternoon. There were many cake fillings to choose from and I chose red velvet. When I picked up the cake, the girl at the counter was super-nice. She brought out the cake and I was able to view it before it was boxed. It looked so good! I was really thrilled with how awesome the cake looked- they really nailed the vision! Before I left, I noticed some cupcakes in their bakery case. They were really unique flavors, so I just had to try them, so I also got a peach cobbler and Snickers Cupcake. Boy, was I glad I did. They were so good! The buttercream frosting was divine, and the cake was moist and not overly sweet. I especially loved the peach cobbler cupcake. It had a delicate slice of peach on the top that somehow was really moist, and to my delight, it also had some peach chunks in the cupcake itself which were really good. When the cake was unveiled at the party, it was a huge hit! Everyone loved it and even better, I got so many complements on how great the cake was! It was a red velvet filling, and it was perfection! No doubt I will come here next time I need a cake or get a craving for cupcakes. Sugar Ray's makes great quality baked goods and based on how great the cake and cupcakes were, i am looking forward to trying other cake/ cupcake flavors. What a gem of a place!

Sugar Ray’s Bake Shop provided the cake and cookies for my son’s baby shower (thrown by my aunt), and we could not have been happier with how gorgeous and delicious the baked goods were! They were the hit of the party! Could not recommend Sugar Ray’s enough!!

I stopped by Sugar Ray's on a whim as I was at HEB. We were celebrating my dog's 10th birthday and thought.... why can't the humans have a treat, too? I'm so glad I came here because these cupcakes are DELISH. I ordered 6 different flavors and the ones that stood out were cinnamon and strawberry. The strawberry had bits of fruit in the cake, and I have never had anything like this before. I wouldn't hesitate to come by again for a sweet need.

I special ordered a cake at the last minute for a graduation party. With weddings snd graduations taking place I wasn't sure I could get it. Well not only did I get the cake done perfectly, the taste was unbelievable! Run don't walk to sugar rays.
