“I'm giving it a 5 for a country buffet. We had no food choice that was bad. Actually, it's one of the best buffets in our area. Desserts were just ok. Hubby had chicken fried steak off buffet * he said it was tender. I enjoyed the salad bar..not just iceberg lettuce and lots of toppings. I must admit that when we pulled up & saw the entry, I was skeptical but go on in. If you like country home cooking you won't be disappointed.”

“The best banana pudding ice cream I've ever eaten! Generous servings, good selection, and great service! Also, they have a well-appointed refrigerator with niche sodas. My only complaint is the lack of non-dairy options, my son was disappointed he couldn't have ice cream with the rest of us. But other than that, is definitely recommend!”

“CRAWFISH!!!!! They were cooked perfectly and peeled easy. We got the spicy crawfish and it was just right. It came with potatoes and a piece of corn. We sat at the bar and was surprised to see the offering of beer from Abita brewery in Louisiana as well as some Texas craft breweries like Buffalo Bayou, and St. Arnold. The servers were nice and the atmosphere was great too. It was very busy yet it did not effect our service negatively. We drove an hour from out of town to eat crawfish and we are going back next week! Don't get oysters.”

It’s a small location nestled down a one way dirt road and it’s the only Mexican restaurant in a 20 mile radius so considering all that-it’s great! But not as good as other places that are IN town.”

“5 Stars. So grateful this is in Lufkin. The menu is special for our area. This definitely is not ‘bar food’. The beer is actually good. To be honest, I’m not a fan of local-type breweries as the beer is never great. But I actually enjoyed the tastings and would love for other restaurants locally to start carrying their brews. The service has always been very good and we’ve been several times now. The management and chef clearly have inspired something new in our area that has been needed for a long time.”

“Well, what a change from 3 color Tex Mex! It's a kind of build it yourself burrito with lots of fresh, colorful trimmings just like like you have it at home. The food is fresh, the services friendly, and everything isn't pureed beans of some kind, tomato sauce, or cheese in a plastic bag/gun. They don't have the standard menu items but this is worth a try. I'm just really tired of TexMex beans, chips and red sauce cooked ninety ways from Sunday, then given 90 different names. Sweet tea is better than average too”
