We'd been long-time fans of the Chinese restaurant, Imperial Cuisine, on Coit Road and went over for dinner about a week ago. Upon arrival my wife and I learned it was now an Ethiopian/Eritrean/Italian restaurant. Since we middle-aged white folk love Ethiopian cuisine we were happy to grab a table. We liked it so much we've just gone back with more of our family to try some other menu items. I went there with four friends who recommended it and found it had changed ownership in the last few months. We were all very impressed (3 of my friends were Chinese). The Mongolian beef was the best I have had anywhere. The walnut shrimp was delicious and melted in your mouth. Top notch kung pao chicken and the 4th dish was a fish dish - also very good. Google has this place listed as a Chinese restaurant. It is not. It’s an East African restaurant. I’m glad maps sent me here. I had never tried East African dishes before but I will definitely be back. The music in this restaurant is a little loud. It was hard to hear when trying to place my order. However the food was amazing!!! And the staff is very friendly.
