Downgraded from a 5 star only because they’d run out of the food we traveled there for ?. But we loved everything we ate, anyway! Texas Bucket List (TV show) boasted this place was worth the travel!! Between Huntsville and Corpus in Rockport, we’d left our Gulf vacation (which was fabulous) to head home via Rockport to treat our friends to a crab burger and bread pudding. Their seasoning the put on the Flounder is fantastic and I think their burgers are the best in town.They run out of items alot but, that's because they are made fresh and popular. My wife lives the Crabby Patty and it's hit or miss if they will have or notWe like Shempy's there food is always good.
You always hear about hole in the wall establishments having the best food. I can honestly say that is true and Shempy’s made me a believer.When in Rockport, check them out but call the day before to get their hours of operation.
