“Ordered:Lamb noodles - very lamb-ie and spicyChunky beef noodle - beefy and spicySliced beef noodle - bland and beef way tough AFfried dumplings - its no frills, I prefer hong kong style dumplings with more chives and vegetablesboiled dumplings -boiled pig ears - Effing epic, the best flavor crunchy, collagen texture. I would definitely order again.scallion pancake - wished it was flaky but it was tastymeat filled bao - same filling as the dumplings - ok“
“Went with friends to celebrate my birthday and I will definitely be back! The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices and serving sizes appropriate! I enjoyed the Pad See Ew, with sticky rice with mango for dessert. The Thai tea was a delicious beverage.“
“Did I just find the best Asian restaurant in the city??? employees are so nice, the food is phenomenal. It comes out fast and has excellent portions and pricing. The dumplings are great and my orange chicken is full of actual citrus wedges from “
“True whole in the wall deliciousness right here! I was around this area and was looking for some delicious pho. It was a little early in the day and Pho Fresh was the only pho place open at that time. They are located in a small plaza right on the back side of San Antonio College. The place itself is not the most inviting, but the smell in the air from all their delicious food is amazing. For my first time I decided to go with Pho Ga (chicken pho). The broth was absolutely perfection and exactly what I was looking for. It came with all the usual sides and they did not skimp on the noodles. Overall it was an amazing pho and exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait to come back again and try some of the other dishes people have been raving about on their reviews.“
“Good Vietnamese restaurant with family-style dishes in San Antonio. Tasty dishes, spacious seatings, and lots of parking lots in front. Friendly staffs. Some hood dishes: stewed fish, sweet and sour fish soups, snails, chicken wings…Vegetarian options: Soups and stir fried vegetablesParking: Multuple lots around the restaurantKid-friendliness: Many choices for kids, such as chicken wings, fries, fries rices, soups…“
“Cristin is the absolute best server and is incredibly attentive - I wish everyone in this industry could learn from her and take pride in their work like she does - she made the experience that much better. I will ask for her everytime I come back“
“I can’t say enough of this place!! Came here and had the combo egg soup with 20 dumplings and a drink.. my fave is the pork and green onion! The freshness and flavor is *chefs kiss* both dumplings and the egg soup! The hubby had the combo Braised short ribs with thin noodle and 10 dumplings and a drink. What a deal! The flavor of the braised ribs was delicious! He said spice on 2 was just right! (If you like spicy)Our server, the gentleman was super nice and VERY welcoming! Always had a smile and quick with our refills. We love it here and hope everyone takes time to visit..“
“I really loved the Chicken Pad Thai here, it was delicious. This is their express location and it’s literally next to the gas station, parking may be challenging but the food is totally worth it and the prices are really good too. The service is fantastic, friendly and attentive.“
“The humble interior is deceiving... with only a few tables, it doesn't offer a lot of space. But the menu makes up for it in a big way! We ordered the panang curry, lo mein noodles, and kids' orange chicken and every plate was cleaned. I could have drank the curry broth straight with a straw. Incredible. The employees were friendly, quick, and attentive. Really great experience.“
“Note, restaurant is takeout only as of March 2024.Came here for a quick dinner on a Friday, but learned they are takeout only. Not a problem, but just wasn't expecting it. Was able to walk right up and place my to go order. Ordered the Broccoli Beef, General Tso's Chicken, Crab Cheese Puff, and Pork Fried Rice. Was able to wait inside the dining area for my order even though it was closed for dining in.Order was ready within 10 minutes after seeing them make my order fresh in the kitchen. Brought everything home and it still looked good as they packed it up nicely. Each order was hot, fresh, and very good. It exceeded my expectations. I will come back and try some of their other dishes.Service was very fast and friendly and the dishes even better.“
“Found this gem while visiting San Antonio. It is truly a hole in the wall. Located in a neighborhood, behind a gas station. Older gentleman, one man gang, gets the job done. Boba has the perfect chew and the Viet coffee will keep you awake for a week, which is not for the weak. HehehehehIt was so good we went back the next day before we left town.“
“YOU WONT REGET IT; me and my partner have been to China in, Lees, China Bistro and China Star and lemme tell you; we have not gonna back to any of those after trying Royal inn (nothing against all the other restaurants, they still have very tasty food if Royal isn’t available!) The food is delicious with great portions, very affordable too. The service is AMAZING! They’re very attentive to any “special directions” you note (I would know since I always ask for fried rice without green onion). Staff is welcoming and friendly, they’ve even started recognizing us when we walk in due to how frequently we go. Overall, if you’re looking for some delicious, quick, and affordable Asian food, Royal Inn is the perfect place! I recommend the sesame chicken, fried rice, and egg drop soup! You won’t regret it, we didn’t!“
“We love Sichuan Garden! The food is always fresh and delicious!I love the Chicken and Veggies w steamed rice! It is my favorite! And the Egg Drop soup is one of my favorites too!The Kung Pao in either Chicken or Beef is very delicious. And so is the Sesame Beef or Chicken! And the Lo Mein is also so good!Vivian is always so sweet! And so are everyone else! Always very welcoming! And the restaurant is always very clean and bright.“
“We had a group of 20. They seemed a little overwhelmed BUT the food was amazing! Dumplings and rangoons were so yummy. Their hot chili oil is so good and actually spicy. I had general tso and loved it. I tried some friends food I’ll definitely go back to have other meals.“
“This place hits all the marks. The drinks were on point. Had the tropical iced tea and the flavor and presentation were both great. Food was delicious, fast, and the employees were super chill. Ambiance was also nice yet relaxed. Will definitely be back!!“
“This hole in the wall was AMAZING. The portions are so ridiculously huge that I ate dinner and had enough leftovers for two lunches I took to work during the week. I had the mixed vegetables with garlic sauce, and it was not spicy at all. Great flavor with a good variety of fresh veggies. The veggie spring rolls were crunchy and fresh as well, and they came with tasty sauce. We came on a weekend, but there was plenty of seating. The wait staff was fast and friendly as well. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. It’s a must visit.Vegetarian options: Wait staff were super helpful in offering vegetarian options“
“I’m Vietnamese and can truly say this restaurant is authentic and delicious!!! I get the pho with meatballs and my son loves the rice plate with grilled pork. The staff treats their guests like family. I’ve met the owners and they are the most sweetest people who puts so much love in their food. Come and eat the best Vietnamese food and let’s support this family owned small business y’all! so good I want some right now!“
“This place, although empty while we were here, was a real hidden gen, set away from most of the restaurants closer to 281.The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the food was great! My wife had Panang Curry and I had the sushi lunch special, which was honestly the best sushi I've had in a long time; it's hard to know for sure, maybe since forever. Their lunch specials are a very good deal, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have delicious Thai food and/or sushi. They also have an extensive tea selection, and we both got some since we were celebrating our birthdays together. We ordinarily just have water.I hope the emptiness of the store was just a fluke of when we happened to be there. I hope this restaurant (and others like it) stay around for decades to come.Parking: The parking was plentiful, as the site is in a typical American strip mall with a large parking lot.“
“Ooooh my goodness, just yes! ? My husband and I both had the chicken pad Thai, and that’s the most flavorful I’ve ever had. Fresh ingredients too, and wonderful attentive service. The dining area is a little small, but it’s still a very cozy atmosphere! I highly recommend them, very solid portions for the price as well. Happy customer, 5 stars! ✨“
“Me and my family have been going here for the past 28 years and we have never had anything to complain about. Amazing service and high quality food. I highly recommend getting the lemon grass pork chops or the pork vermicelli bowls. The spring rolls are also a must have every, trust me and order them.“
“One of the two best spots in the entirety of San Antonio, this quiet little space has some of the best Chinese dishes I've ever had. Whether it's spice you're looking for or something a little tangy like orange chicken, everything here is delicious. Group favorites like the steamed pot stickers come out piping hot and ready to share!“
“I don't eat out very often, but when I do, Pho 32 is my go-to for good Viet food (I also recommend Pho Nguyen and Pho Hung Cuong). Every type of cuisine has a benchmark dish by which an eatery is judged: for pizza, it's the margherita pizza for me, for pho, it's Bún Bò Huế (spicy beef soup). Pho 32 passes this test, the broth is deliciously flavorful and passes my congeal test (real bone broth congeals when you place the leftovers in the refrigerator). The other dishes are great and on point for Viet food, my husband enjoyed his bún thịt nứơng (vermicelli rice bowl) and the crab rangoons are deliciously crabby. There is a young man who works there who was surprisingly attentive, typically Viet places don't really wait on you and ignore you until you flag them down for the check. I gave him a generous tip for his kind service.Overall, I give this charming family-owned place a 4.5 out of 5 stars, however, because last time I ate there 3 months ago, the bún bò Huế did not pass the congeal test, leading me to believe that short cuts were made. Hopefully on my next visit I can revise my rating.“
“I just started coming here recently and one day after a very late night I stopped by to get something to eat and I am so glad that I turned around just for this food truck. It sounds silly but their food really does bring me comfort. I love the environment and the owners are super nice and sweet, I make the effort to come here with my friends every so often because I regret not coming here sooner since I live right next-door, I will be graduating this semester, and I like to get their food as a reward after doing homework or a rough night at work. This place is amazing and doesn’t fail to put a smile on my face :)“
“We must have driven by this restaurant without much thought so many times. I really don't know why, maybe the silly name. But I had heard recently that they had really good food and we were not disappointed! We have been searching for tasty Chinese in this area for a long time. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures, but everything was delicious! They offered free soup with our meals so my husband ordered the Hot and Sour and I got the Egg Drop soup. He added a little bit of pepper to his but thought it tasted good. And mine was absolutely perfect! It had the right amount of salt and viscosity that I like. They let you customize your entrees so my husband got a very spicy chicken with black bean sauce meal and I got a mildly spicy Mongolian chicken. Everything tasted really fresh and flavorful!! I even ate my egg rolls, which I normally pass on because they're too greasy. These were crispy but not oily. Delicious! We will definitely be back again!!“
“We were looking for an Asian meal for dinner and decided to try this spot tonight for the first time. My husband and I were VERY happy with our pork fried rice (actual slices of well seasoned meat vs minced cubes), curry chicken and sample of appetizers. Bonus: Military Discounts given! We give it a 5/5 and will definitely return!“
“A couple friends took me here around 2 PM after the lunch hour. It felt like a secret I wasn’t supposed to be in on! The food was amazing!!!The restaurant itself is very unassuming in the bottom floor of an office building. There’s also not much to let you know that the cuisine is Korean. However, the restaurant is very clean and cozy. We ate family style and everybody enjoyed their food. The drinks were bottled out of a fridge at the back of the restaurant, and they have a variety of American and Korean drinks/snacks. I saw a blue plate award hanging out near the register, too.Parking: The parking situation is a little tight and there aren’t a ton of spaces, so you may have to walk a block or two, but it’s totally worth it.“
“Went here on a date 2020 ordered the orange chicken sooo good and honestly 2 ppl can share it’s huge plus the soup rice and eggroll very filling , Eggrolls are soo big I will continue to eat here and recommend every time I’ve gone I’ve had a great experience just have to check their times. There were a few times I had a craving and they were closed but none the less still the best I’ve had“
“I find the owners could not be any more helpful. I asked for a dish that would have lots of vegetables and the Pad Wun Sen was suggested I had never had glass noodles but figured I like noodles. how can I go wrong? The dish was wonderful. I've had it several times since. On a different note, if you like real Italian food, homemade noodles check out the Italian restaurant at the other end of the strip center. Lol, 2 reviews for the price of one“
“Been going there off and on for over 25 years food as always good sometimes really great and piping hot. The dinner portions are always more than enough so you'll have to take some home which I really don't mind. This last time the egg rolls were bigger than I remember and really really good. The owners always recognize me and my daughter and greet us very cheerfully.“
“Family owned, fresh ingredients, unique taste. Delicious food, unlike any chain store restaurant. Chef Joe is the kitchen, not just on the sign. Best Chinese food we have ever eaten. Service is warm and personal. This is now our 'go to' restaurant for Asian food. You won't be disappointed.“
“This place is such a great place to grab really good Chinese food. The portions are pretty big so if you don't finish, Plenty will be left over for you to eat. Although I find it difficult to have left overs since it's so delicious lol.“
“Random craving for teriyaki chicken this past Tuesday (kind of weird because I don't ever eat this ?) so I ordered from TK Teriyaki Kitchen through Uber eats and it was SO good! It was a huge serving and the rice had SO much flavor aaaannnnddd because I couldn't stop thinking about that rice we decided to go today.First of all, please make note, this is not a place to dine in. You have got to call ahead to place your order and call or text when you arrive so you can let them know you are there for them to bring your order out to you. When we arrived the lady was bringing out someone's order then came to my window and said I could place the order with her (since I had not already placed it) and it would take approx. 30 min (this was around 3:30pm).We ordered the following:Spicy shrimp lo mein plateBeef/broccoli plate with fried rice instead of steamed rice(We received fried rice instead of the lo mein which was fine with us)Totaling: $28.69Happy eating!“
“Fantasic food and fantastic friendly service.Time and time again we try new "higher end" places and each time find ourselves coming back because this place is legitimately on par or better than every other place we have been to that charges twice as much.If you want a place you can bring fam or friends that are visiting the city and are thinking "hope theyr good this time" you will never have to think that because they are always good every single time.Make this your new go-to spot like we did, its consitently great food and service, with great portion sizes so you wont feel like you didnt get what you paid for.“
“Fast and consistent service. I got the sesame chicken with fried rice , crab Rangoon’s and plain lo mein noodles!! Absolutely loved it, this is the only thing I order from here. I think it’s really good!!! It’s hard to find a place that I can buy all of those dishes and rate a 10. I’ve tried many restaurants in San Antonio and this is the only one I come back to for this type of food.“
“Our family has come to Gin's for over 25 years. We have celebrated many birthdays here. They have catered for us numerous times. The food is great!Vegetarian options: Bok Choy, green beans, noodlesParking: Large strip mall with lots of parking plus disabled parking spaces are right up front.Kid-friendliness: Gin's family takes care of kids, food and beverage wise. Parents, please do not let your children run around. An accident can happen if food is coming out of the kitchen and a little one is not seen by their staff.Wheelchair accessibility: Main door has a ramp for everyone to enter. The dining room on the left is the easiest place if you use a wheelchair.“
“This place is ADORABLE. You'll fall in love with the owner and the food. My son (he's definitely picky) said he would rate the place 6 stars ?.We got the chop chae, bibimbap and so bulgogi. It was perfect portions that we were full, but not overly full. The bonchon was delicious and fresh. Best kimchi cabbage and radish I've had in a long time.“
“First time at this location but definitely will not be the last. I work in food service so I was impressed to see the manager hands on, the place was clean, everyone seem to be having a really good shift. It was just very positive all the way around and my food was delicious. So glad you opened this location near me. Management should be commended for a great environment for both customers and employees.“
“We have been coming to Tongs for 8 years. My friends come from Beeville and drive 90min to come here. The food is always amazing! I get something different every time and I am never disappointed. The fried spring rolls are Devine, I have dreams about them! Thank You to the Tongs staff for always being excellent!“
“1st time here. Their service alone is outstanding! The place is clean, cozy, and quaint! I ordered a bowl of Bûn with shrimp (shrimp is extra), and it was absolutely delicious, full of flavor! The dishes have soul! You can taste the love! Their other dishes look intising! Louie made my experience very pleasant. I'm glad I stepped in! I will certainly be back again, this time with a BYOB! Come check them out for yourself!!“
“Great neighborhood Chinese food restaurant: nice people, good food, reasonable prices. And if you pay cash, you get a discount. The mongolian beef was superb; the meat and vegetables tasted fresh and were perfectly cooked in a spicy sauce. And the bean curd (tofu) with vegetables was garlicky and delicious. This restaurant is going to be added to our rotation.“
“My boyfriend and I LOVE BAMBOO! I also love how you can earn points if you order direct. They are a Southtown Staple for sure.m There WINGS are very very good! We order the plain wings and add our own sauce or get sauce on the side. They have great specials and a good family combo. Everything is pretty great there!! Highly recommend the combo fried rice. Large chunks of shrimp, meat and chicken.“
“Send all you can eat buffet what is really good nice picture of foods desserts were good nice salad bar they also have sushi, as well as you can pick out they do the actual stir fry, you can watch him cook it. Will visit again if life permitsKid-friendliness: The children are welcome with parents assistance plenty of kids friendly foods, they have pizza, Fry's foods that children would like chicken nugget“
“Years ago, my mama brought me here, and it has been our go-to Chinese restaurant ever since. The restaurant is always clean. The staff are fast and friendly, the food is always fresh and delicious. I have a bunch of kids now and don't like taking them out. So we call in our order, and it's ready when we get there for pickup. Excellent service every time.“
“The food is great always got and fresh. There is one awful waiter who throws the food down and walks away. Doesn't give refills acts pissed when you ask for anything. And another great waiter who is attentive and awesome so choose your seat wisely“
“Oldie but goodie !!! This place rarely disappoints its usually busy and there may be a little bit of a wait but it's well worth it We've been visiting this place since Henry Cisneros cut the ribbon at their grand opening so its been along time 30 yrs plus .So to start the eggrolls are great especially as an appetizer perfect blend of cabbage and meat good size the combination fried rice is very good has plenty of meat could be a meal all by itself and for the first time we tried the ribs they were very good !!!! This is about the only place that still serves chinesse food as we knew not the fast chinesse food there is now !!! #Ninagzfave“
“Best Chinese food this side of the pacific. Not only is it the best, they give you so much food for the cost. You pay $12 for practically three meals or more if you eat like a bird. The owners are amazing. I have been coming here consistently since I started college and I am sad I have to move away. Not because I'll miss San Antonio but because I will never have the luxury of living 5 minutes from this amazing restaurant“
“I have been going to Thien An for about 5 years They sell the best shrimp summer rolls and for those of you who don't care for seafood they also serve grill pork summer rolls. They are served with delicious peanut sauce I personally like to drizzle sriracha sauce over my peanut sauce. Their grilled pork Banh Mi is delicious the bread is warm and nice crunch to it. Their food is always fresh and delicious. Their pho also pretty good but I specifically come here for summer rolls and Banh Mi sandwiches. The staff always friendly and accommodating you must come and try them out:)!!!“
“A very small and comfortable place, very kind service and the food is great! The Mei Fun is so tasty, not too peppery like a lot of other places! My fiance got pork fried rice and the fried rice tastes perfect: not overly savory so the juicy pork really stands out! Very worth a visit. We will be coming back for more! Thank you Chin's Kitchen! ???“
“We were starving on our road trip to San Antonio, Texas with lots of walking and hiking- on the hunt for a belly-filling buffet without breaking the bank. There are a few more Chinese buffet options close to one another but we stopped at Chopsticks Chinese Restaurant for the price- $12 lunch or $16 dinner per person… what?! ?Once we hit the buffet line, it was game on! The sheer amount of food was insane but the real magic? The spice level, salt level everything was matched to our south asian palate.we waddled back to our car like penguins, bellies bulging, jeans unzipped, smiles wide, eyes sleepyRecommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for yourself as well as groups or partiesKid-friendliness: Many kids are having birthday parties there, so it is very family and kid friendly restaurant.“
“Always have very tasty food, our server Elaine went the extra mile today to make our Sunday lunch experience exceptional! Very kind and attentive, you could tell she wanted us to have the best experience. She allowed us to taste all of the sauce options and helped make it extra fun for the kid in the group with children’s chop sticks and extra goodies for him to snack on.“
