“Currently on a quest to find the finest tacos in the Northwest/West region. I've have tried numerous options, and so far these currently stand out as the best. The prices are quite reasonable, and the campechana tacos with the green sauce are simply delicious. The frijoles charros are really tasty too.“
“It's been 3 years since we had taco truck tacos in San Antonio, although Tacos La Salsita are now pricing their tacos at $1.50, in comparison to just $1 per taco from 3 years ago, they're still the cheapest and still tasty compared to the other taco trucks around.“
“Staff was super friendly. Ordered the chicharrón en salsa verde and carne asada quesadillas and they were both very tasty. Not to say those extra sauces were so good. Clean facility, nice ambiance, worth every penny. Will definitely be back.“
“Guys definitely recommend this place. As soon as you come in you see all their cute and artisan tableware. We were greeted by the sweetest server as well. They had big food portions and weren't even able to finish all our food. They make their tortillas and bread at the restaurant. Greatly recommend their tortas they are delicious ? their tacos were huge too! ? they do offer mixed drinks and karaoke after 5 till they close so go on over and show some support to this small bussiness.“
“Good food for a decent price (dinner meals come with drink). The horchata was good but a little watered down but the mango drink was delicious. The beef burrito and enchiladas were a hit with my teens but the tacos de pastor was a bit dry. The salsas were very tasty but would have been better if served with chips. The charro bean aperitif was super tasty! The young lady who served us was terrific but the environment was lacking. Floors were slippery as if they were not thoroughly cleaned, the bathrooms were dirty and the salsa bar (not open) had sitting water on container lids. The place needs a remodel or at least a good cleaning.“
“Love TnS, before I moved :-( I would frequent TnS a few times a month. Whenever I return to San Antonio, it is the #1 place I stop in for my taco fix. My personal favorites are the Alambre and Barbacoa. Here for 5 days, and will drop infor tacos at least 3 times.“
“Just ate here for the first time. It was delicious! I had the Baja fish tacos with lime rice, and street corn. So much flavor, and different from what we have in Kerrville. Great atmosphere, and fun music. My 7 year old was dancing while eating his food.“
“Best most delicious Birria Tacos in San Antonio!! Also the customer service is AMAZING! I called to place a pick up order and they didn’t answer but immediately called me right back. But I’ve been here quit a few times and they never miss with the food or service! I also love the drive through option. Keep up the good work!“
“Was my first time coming here the service was good as well the woman who came up to me to ask if me and my girlfriend wanted anything to drink she brought are drinks for us and was super nice she also threw away are trash for us when we where getting ready to leave and she saw me with are plates in my hand and told us she'll take it out for us super generous definitely will be coming back here in the future“
“We ate at Grumpy's while visiting family in the area. First of all the service was outstanding which is rare for me to say.Their portions are absolutely huge! We ordered 1 taco and as you can see it could have easily fed 2 of us for under 5.00 at the time. It was the size of the plate! We also ordered the chicken and waffles which comes with wonderful homemade spiral potato chips. It had a full belgan waffle, 4 chicken tenders and those chips. My two teen boys split that. We also ordered a few other breakfast items that I forgot to get pictures of but out of 6 of us, nobody cleared their plates. This is our family's favorite breakfast spot and we easily understand why.“
“As soon as you walk in, they make you feel like family! Small but cozy place . If a big table is available, they will ask you if it's OK to share the extra space with other patrons if they're willing as well before just sitting them down without ask first. Parking is very limited as well, but we have been lucky to get parking! It is a must place to try if you haven't tried it yet!“
“I’ve tried several pollo asados places. Including the other one on Walzem. This place surpasses them all. Juicy chicken, the most incredible rice, charro beans, their green sauce (buy the big container you won’t regret it), fresh coca mexicana. My absolute favorite chicken restaurant in San Antonio and I’ve been here all my life. I’ve only dined in once. Their dine in is great. I usually get take out though because I like to eat like a savage at home lol.“
“We went on a whim because Wynonna Judd ate there during the SA Rodeo and raved about the food!We were unprepared for the evening! Words do not do this restaurant justice! As soon as we opened the door, we knew we were in for a treat. We just didn't know how much of a treat! We were met at the door with smiles and welcoming us to the restaurant. We were shown to our 'white cloth' covered table; 'white cloth' rolled silverware and a small candle burning. But wait, there is more, much more!We were given menus, and we were given a chance to look before Ernesto, Jr. was at our table, introducing himself as the owner and telling us what the specials were and all the wonderful sauces that he cooked to 'perfection'! The way he described each sauce would make you want to 'lick the skillet'! Our food was hot and delicious! The hospitality was phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and make plans to go eat there! All I have to say is, Thank You Wynonna Judd'!“
“Hidden gem on the north side of town! May very well be the best tacos I’ve had in town. Had the mini taco plate with a combination of tacos - Pastor, Asada, Chicken, and Chorizo. Pastor was killer.Great friendly service, quality food, and clean restaurant. This is a must try and this will remain on my food rotation for sure.“
“What a great first visit. We were genuinely greeted as we walked in. The entire staff are friendly and truly personally know their clientele. Now the food was great in flavor and huge on portions. What great vibe and what great experience. I loved the Al pastor taco!! (Pictured) on review.“
“The food has a beautiful presentation. I had cochinita pibil and it was good but the meat in the tacos al trompo was very dry. The mango water was delicious and the corn cake/bread was very good. I must highlight that the martinis we ordered were to my liking, recommending the chamoy martini. The place is nice and I must highlight the presentation of the dishes. The quality/price ratio is fine for me and the service from the waitress was very good.“
“Last night, I drove here all the way from the south side because it’s been recommended to me so many times. I had the chicken mini tacos which were so fresh and delicious. Their side salsas are not too spicy, and have good flavor. Their customer service is great! The person taking orders & the one bringing food out to the tables were very nice. There are only 3 large tables and 2 kiddie tables, but even the customers were nice and didn’t mind sharing a table. I’m definitely eating here again!!“
“This taco truck was absolutely delicious! My husband and I were visiting San Antonio and found this place. Their tacos are amazing, probably some of the best tacos I’ve had in San Antonio. I have not had tacos that good in a long time. The tortillas that they use for their tacos are the cherry on top for me. We tried the tacos with the queso and our choice of filling. Their lemonade was very good too!“
“Well, we’re over from England celebrating my 70th birthday and the meal here this evening was easily the best by far. It will not and cannot be exceeded for the rest of our three week trip. The rib-eye was so well cooked and the mushrooms were elevated to a flavour level that I didn’t think mushrooms could reach. My wife’s fish tacos were equally as wonderful and have been recorded as having reached legendary status. Edward the chef and joint owner has a superb palate and clearly knows how to put a dish together. We’re leaving first thing tomorrow morning. If we weren’t we’d be back. Too late to change our plans. What a shame.Just go and go again. This has been the highlight of dining out not just of this trip but perhaps of all time.“
“I visited for the first time last Sunday and took my son and granddaughter. I had birria tacos, my son had street tacos and my granddaughter had bean and cheese tacos. The food was authentic in preparation and presentation. The interior decor is what you’d see in an authentic Mexican restaurant serving on clay pottery. I recommend you give it a try. The birria tacos were huge with delicious tender beef. Goat is available also.Parking: Free parking directly out frontKid-friendliness: Family friendly, lots of families there.“
“Real mexican food, made perfectly. friendly people, friendly service. Great and inexpensive. Exactly what eating mexican food feels like.Vegetarian options: papas rancheras taco, huevo a la mexicana taco, papas con huevo taco, frijoles con queso taco.“
“This was a wonderful experience. Staff were nice and out in the crowd taking care of garbage and dishes. The drink list was vast, and the live music was at a good level. There were customers of al ages and walks of life. Only negative i have is that some of the decor is quite faded and could really use a refresh.“
“So delicious! We have been looking for a new regular place and this place hit the spot. The owners were so nice and welcoming, we had the enchiladas and the carne guisada which were so good. Tortillas were perfect and the chips and salsa were also delicious. Can’t wait to come back!“
“This is a hidden gem in San Antonio minutes from the SAT international airport. Local favorite & best pork sandwich. Came in and tried their popular Ro-Ho pork sandwich (torta ahogada) and pork taco (taco al pastor) with crunchy pork skin (cuerito). They serve beer and Mexico Coke cola ?. Big shout to Maria and her team to make the experience very enjoyable and delicious meal. Definitely come by with friends or family. Highly recommend for taco chilango and torta ahogada or any pork sandwich. Come by and check out yourself. This is a must stop local favorite before heading to your destination via SAR aripoet.“
“Hadn't been here in years as it is a ways away from where I live. I was wanting some grilled chicken. Had to come here as it is the best!! Had the half grilled chicken with rice and beans. It was delicious! And that green sauce has the best flavor! Stayed away to long.“
“Delicious tacos! The price is not too bad. The only downside is that I waited about an hour to order and get my food. Maybe getting more employees would help ease the wait. When I left, the ordering line had about 20 people or more. Oh, and the Birria Pizzadilla is $15, but they charged me $16.“
“San Taco has some of the best authentic Mexican food and service in San Antonio. A HIDDEN GEM. The restaurant is well kept and clean. Limited indoor seating and parking. I ordered a frijolitos con veneno, chilaquiles san taco, tacos, and a cafe de olla. The food came out fast and fresh. Everything tasted amazing. I also got free churros. The prices are also great. Cant wait to come back and try more!“
“This was our first time coming here and we are definitely coming back. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. The head chef/owner even stopped by our table to say hello and give us a little background of how this establishment came about. The food was amazing! One of the best places I’ve eaten at since moving to San Antonio!“
“Absolutely amazing!!! Took the family on a whim, after sightseeing the Alamo. About 11 min drive. We ordered The Quesabirria, Birria, and Mac and cheese birria. And the whole family loved it. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.“
“I will definitely go back for more! Two tacos for less than $4 Wow! I usually buy a bacon & egg taco & a bean & cheese taco for breakfast. These were delicious & the bean & cheese taco was a big fat taco. I’m glad to finally see that, because it’s probably one of the cheapest taco to make, but not all places make it this way. The flour tortillas are big n fluffy too! Gotta try more food here! Beautiful pan dulce in the case also. Lots of items to taste.“
“Food was the best I have tasted in the area. I have visited several other taco trucks on Potranco(outside 1604) and their birria is my favorite. We tried the asada quesadia and it was good as well. Hot sauce was great as well. I would definitely be visiting again to try the birria quesadia.“
“Another joint that was featured in "The Taco Chronicles", and for good reason! I kept it simple and went for a carnitas taco "mixed" (lean and fatty chunks of pork). The taco was stuffed with meat inside two corn tortillas, just strong enough to hold the meat. The pork was moist, tender and fatty. All good things. It was flavored well and obviously paired nicely with my side of onions and cilantro.Good eating.4.9/5“
“Top 3 taco place I’ve ever been to. Ordered the mini tacos. I think my favorite were the pastor. All were amazing. The little bean bowl they included was quite the surprise. I couldn’t stop eating them! Great service as well! This place is legit.“
“Restaurant responded with grace and class when I messed up my reservation. I reserved an "Other" table not realizing this would be hightop in the bar - the restaurant was unable to offer an alternative table as they were full and needed to honor other reservations. However, they did come over and let us know that they would not be charging for our appetizers, something they did not need to do, but which made a very nice difference to our experience. And so to the food - delicious! My only reservation was that the fish in the cervice was a little mushy, but the flavor was still excellent. The other appetizer was delicious, as were the Chicken Asada and the Enchiladas entrees. The warm brownies with a scoop of a superior ice cream was a great way to finish. PS - we had tacos at the bar earlier in the week - that experience is what drove us back for dinner.“
“I really loved this restaurant! I just moved in the area and my mom told me this was the best restaurant in our area and I had to try. Service was great the food was so freaking delicious nice and warm homemade food! Definitely will recommend this place to friends and family! Next I'll be trying Enchilada plate!!!“
“OMG this place is an amazing place to eat. Their specials are very affordable. The food is so delicious the kindness of EVERYONE ? are ALWAYS ? smile's. You NEVER need to get up to get a refill or coffee or tea. They don't have to but they ALWAYS give our Granddaughter cookies on the way out. It's a great place.Kid-friendliness: ALWAYS makes conversation with us and our Granddaughter. Some mornings our youngest daughter calls me and says Mama you wanna do Nadines??? I'm like yeaaaah. So anyone looking for a down to earth place to eat where you don't have to flag down your waitress for refills or extra tortillas or anything at all it's a wonderful restaurant and we all recommend this place to everyone.“
“The food was hot and delicious. Everything was fresh including the sweet tea. We had the carne enchiladas and chicken flautas. The enchiladas were tender and cheesy with a great tast and not so strong on the spices. The flautas were crispy and chicken was good. The beans were creamy and flavorful. The rice was great and the tortillas were amazing. What's crazy about this visit is that there were no other customers dining in or walked in during the duration of our entire visit. Service was great.“
“The restaurant truly lives up to it's name! Me and my family are STUFFED!! Absolutely massive portions, delicious appetizers (the steak burger egg rolls are a MUST, and the queso is so rich ???) and insanely large burritos. Very friendly staff as well, which is always a plus. Make sure to skip breakfast and go here for lunch or dinner now!!“
“Small place with great food. best service ive had in a long time. Staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Everything its delicious and authentic. It will be 1 of my haunts when im in the area. Highly recommend if you want great food outstanding service and not break the bank.“
“This was our first time here, and our food was delicious and fresh. We had a chicken papusa, chicken empandadas, and a pastor torta. The lemonade was also delicious.Although the food was great, the service was not the best. We were never greeted by our waitress and never once checked on during our meal. For being our first time here, it's not the best first impression with the service. We will definitely give it another try, and hopefully, the service will be better.“
“So I used to go to 2 other barbacoa and tamales location but today changed all tht, Los Reyna #2 is so delicious!! I told the owner I had never had there barbacoa so I bought a barbacoa taco and let me just say it was so so good it was all meat barbacoa it was fresh he served it in chunks so you really can have a mouth full and the salsa super good, different taste than anyone else in a positive way and spicy I love my salsa spicy and we got pork tamales wow!!! Very good the masa was not so thick the masa was moist not dry and the pork inside was to die for! It also tasted fresh and had a very good flavor I am very impressed this is my Sunday location from now on for sure and the staff was friendly I would recommend this to anyone.“
“CUISHE Stone Oak is one of our favorite places eat.The ambiance of the restaurant is always inviting. The food truly steals the show. Every dish that graced our table was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. From their signature starter caldo de camarón, to their Signature Chef's Board, (try the grilled Pulpo) to their "Mexologia" drinks everything is delicious. From the multiple times we have dined at Cuishe the service is always spectacular. Memo has been our waiter multiple times and he has been fantastic every time.“
“Service was really fast and friendly. We ordered by the pound (to-go) and everything was packaged perfectly so nothing spilled or got smashed. Great value as well. 3lbs of birria, plus tortillas, consomme, and all of the fixings plus drinks for under $70.“
“Delicious flavors, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere! My experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and seated promptly. The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Mexican dishes, each bursting with authentic taste and fresh ingredients. The ambiance was lively, yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner or celebration. I highly recommend trying their signature margaritas and for dessert, you have to try the conchas; they were simply divine! Overall, Tlahco exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience.“
“Food was great. They listened and implemented any special requests. The drive-thru option is a good add but it can be a bit slow compared to a dedicated “fast-food” restaurant. I am glad that they have the option though as it can be convenient when I’m on the go.“
“This place has atmosphere plus. We sat outside and it was gorgeous. The service began very slowly. As time went on, or server became much more attentive.I, personally, thought the menu was not what I expected and was not really happy with the choices. With that said, the food was excellent and all with me enjoyed it.“
“We always come back for a good taco breakfast! Run by a one man that do everything from cooking to taking payment and he’s doing awesome with how the service and quality of the taco. Our favorite is the classic potato and egg and chorizo and their birria taco!Sometimes we caught him still grilling the meat so you know you are getting fresh meat every day. They have small parking lot for I guess it’s meant for takeout but if you decide to eat in the area he also prepared number of chairs and tables and it is covered area.“
“Hands down, this is the best corn cup I've had a chance to taste. After searching through a few places in my area, this was closest to me. I am happy to state, this place has the best. Fresh corn, and plenty of ingredients prepared just like I love. I requested freshly squeezed lime to add a hint of that acidic flavor. The staff was friendly and the wait wasn't long. Though they were busy, they really had their way of getting the line going. I may have to try something else in the future, but for I'm sticking with this cup for good. Please don't ever change anything to your corn cups!!!“
“1st visit here. Ordered chicken ? tamales to go. Victoria's Tortilla and Tamales are delicious. Chicken tamales were fresh, tasty and seasoned very well. What I also enjoyed was the red salsa, jalapeños salsa and the fresh Pico de Gallo! Highly recommended anyone to come here and spend your money bcuz it's well worth your time! Stay safe??“
“Fantastic place to go if you love sweet treats wonderful bakery with fresh baked goods that will delight atmosphere is lovely and downtown San Antonio staff is friendly.
