“Food was great, just as expected from a highly rated BBQ/Hotpot restaurant. Wait time was totally unreasonable, had waitlisted ourselves 2 hours in advance and arrived around 6:30pm (5pm I waitlisted us on yelp for a spot and as per the app our table should have been ready between 7-7:30) but we had to wait an additional 50 minutes until we were able to sit at 8:20 because they over booked. We were a group of 6 who drove all the way from Brownsville to celebrate my BDay only to be delayed a great amount of time without any proper update as to how much longer the wait could be. There were a few more people who also complained so we weren't the only ones. So my 2 cents is that weekend dinner service is crazy busy and KPot needs to step up there game and really need to make some adjustments. Also update your menus tip surcharge bc we were charged 18% for a group of 6 even though your menu clearly writes 18% is for a group of 8 and above. When I questioned the tip was told it's automatically entered because we were a group of 6. Didn't want to complain bc we were there to celebrate and already were frustrated from the nearly 1 hour delay to be seated.We did enjoy the food and drinks that's why I didn't lower the rating. We chose the BBQ&hot pot option which was lovely and even got a happy birthday song, mini cupcake and the mascot visit...unfortunately no teddy ( which I didn't even know was provided until our server informed us that was provided) because my bday was on the 20th and we came on the 23rd missed out on the teddy. But what to do when as mentioned we live 5 hours away so no way would we have made it on Friday after work.“
“Bussin!!! The baked chicken and gravy is fire! The yams bussing! The Mac n cheese isn't nasty, but it's kinda mid. It went well with the catfish though, and the catfish is fire too! The worker at the counter was friendly and explained how ordering, getting food and paying worked. On the website, it had seasonal seafood, which was not on the menu board. Everything seemed fast paced, I felt there was no time to ask about the seasonal menu. The food was pricey like every where else. The food was good. Their fries were well fried, not greasy and flavored with their spices. The blackened chicken sandwich with street corn was good. Who could go wrong with chicken tenders? “The food and alcohol drinks are so amazing. My fiancé ordered the arena entree and he literally devoured it in less than 10 seconds. I ordered the pescado caldo and the cantarito drink which was so delicious. I will definitely be coming here again. “Absolutely wonderful dining experience. the moment we walked in we were greeted by Shana who was so welcoming and friendly. Carla our waitress was extremely attentive and followed up during the meal to make sure everything was to our liking and came back to refill beverages. She explained the menu and made wonderful suggestions. Tania stopped by our table to greet us and to offer dining suggestions as well. She enticed us and made it so much more difficult to make a decision so for a table of 4 we ordered the nachos, tuna totopos , queso, guacamole and then my husband ordered the grilled fish, and 2 of us had the barbacoa tacos and another person had the chicken enchiladas. We also had 3 desserts! EVERYTHING was exquisite! I have never had better barbacoa! It is tender and absolutely perfectly seasoned! The chicken in the enchiladas was also beautifully seasoned. I would have just loved it on a salad ! My husband LOVED the fish and sauce and the white rice and the salad/dressing.We are in town from Dallas and will be going back before we leave! However, the wait was extra long due to shortage of staff. After eating our appetizer with the delish bisquicks and my hubby drinking his cocktail, we sat for about 40-45 mins for our food. At this point we chose to no longer wait, so we canceled our meals and tipped the waiter. The meal started off great, but ended poorly due to staffing problems. Food and service were absolutely top-notch. I'm not big on italian food in general (I'm a bbq, burgers and fajita kind of guy,) but even I loved it. Because I am a Mexican living in San Antonio and I have yet to find a half decent restaurant with good Mexican food. Thankfully, I’m very happy to say that this restaurant qualifies as one of the better ones. I may be a little biased because I know the owners, but I’m not lying when I say that the food was delicious. I had the salmon, and it was perfectly cooked not dry, or burnt, or anything negative. It was simply delicious. Next time I go back, because I will, I am going to have to try the Cóctel de camarón.“
