“First time having Thai food in San Antonio and let me say it was amazing. We stopped here on our way back to Houston and it was a much appreciated meal! Great flavors that I hadn't had in a long while. Will definitely return the next time I pass through San Antonio!“
“Curry and bbq! Loved the sound of it so had to give it a try. I got the brisket smoke show and side of curry corn. The brisket was cooked to perfection! The curry was delicious. Combined it was a bit odd at first but by the 3rd bite I was sold!! Extremely good. Wish I lived closer to try some others as panang curry is my favorite! The curry corn is extremely delicious as well but has a bite to it - more so than the green curry in the brisket. Everything was very good and I had leftovers to take home - I also ended up ordering the chicken salad on my way out but am too stuffed currently to taste it. Check it out! Something different and delicious.Parking: Limited but there is street parking as well and a paid lot not far.“
“Went with friends to celebrate my birthday and I will definitely be back! The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices and serving sizes appropriate! I enjoyed the Pad See Ew, with sticky rice with mango for dessert. The Thai tea was a delicious beverage.“
“Hi-dden gem. Holy moly. There were 11 of us and so we had the chance to try out a whole bunch of dishes. We had an assortment of appetizers (spring rolls, curry puffs, chicken pops [sic cuz I can't remember what they were called]), curries (green, and two more), fried rice dishes, the duck dish, chicken pad Thai for the kids , sticky rice for dessert and cucumber salads, galore. It was ALL amazing. One dish was better than the others and as stuff came out it just disappeared so we could order seconds and thirds. Definitely get the fresh limeade or Thai iced tea!All of this awesomeness came with incredibly friendly service and reasonable prices. In the middle of San Antonio! Win win win win. Will most definitely return.“
“True whole in the wall deliciousness right here! I was around this area and was looking for some delicious pho. It was a little early in the day and Pho Fresh was the only pho place open at that time. They are located in a small plaza right on the back side of San Antonio College. The place itself is not the most inviting, but the smell in the air from all their delicious food is amazing. For my first time I decided to go with Pho Ga (chicken pho). The broth was absolutely perfection and exactly what I was looking for. It came with all the usual sides and they did not skimp on the noodles. Overall it was an amazing pho and exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait to come back again and try some of the other dishes people have been raving about on their reviews.“
“The food was delicious, amazing sushi rolls, very high quality seafood. Wonderful spring rolls as well. Very friendly staff, only issue was the women's bathroom was not handicap accessible due to a shelf blocking the door. I hope they fix that, because we will be returning.Wheelchair accessibility: only issue was the women's bathroom was not handicap accessible due to a shelf blocking the door“
“In my opinion, this is the best Thai food in all of San Antonio. I always get the number 10 with combination meat and the side of white rice and it's my absolute favorite. I will always choose this place. If I am feeling Thai food, the service is amazing and the food truck is located in a very cool bar called El Buho, which has very nice ambience“
“First off, the ambience is great! This place is small and usually pretty quiet and very homey, but also feels authentic. The FOOD is on another level … like honestly THE best Thai food I’ve tried so far, at least in San Antonio. I freaking LOVE these people: it’s a family owned and run place and everyone is so so sweet and attentive to every customer. They also do a great job with dietary restrictions/allergies and helping you know what’s safe to eat for YOU, plus have great recommendations if you’re not sure what to get just in general!5 stars is an understatement for me. My husband and I have gone back twice now, and I’ve gone back multiple times outside of that with friends. And that says something, because we aren’t food repeaters, we’re food TRYERS ?Vegetarian options: You can choose tofu as your protein for most dishesDietary restrictions: Most things in the menu are dairy free and they also have some gluten free options AND THE STICKY SWEET RICE IS DAIRY FREE and sooooo good“
“I have been comin here for years and had assumed I had left a 5 star review a long time ago, but I guess I had not so here it comes. This is hands downs the best Thai food I have eaten. I have been coming here since 2020 when I first discovered this place and I have not been disappointed. From the Pad Woon Sen to the Nam Tok soup to all of the curry food. I have not found anything that was not extremely tasty. Just a warning though, the spice levels are not what you’re normally used to, which is not a bad thing. If you like spicy food, like me, probably start off with a medium. This is my spicy heaven and when I get a craving for spicy food I come here and I’m never disappointed. I haven’t been brave enough to go the hottest level but the medium to hot levels are pretty good on spicy. Great service and staff. I remember the very first time I ordered it was around Christmas time and closing they also gave me some chicken noodle soup and wrote merry Christmas on the to-go containers. The staff are super nice and helpful. The establishment is clean and I love that they play acoustic guitar music on the tv. With it being a home in the wall it’s just a nice place to come visit without it being too loud.“
“The humble interior is deceiving... with only a few tables, it doesn't offer a lot of space. But the menu makes up for it in a big way! We ordered the panang curry, lo mein noodles, and kids' orange chicken and every plate was cleaned. I could have drank the curry broth straight with a straw. Incredible. The employees were friendly, quick, and attentive. Really great experience.“
“I just started coming here recently and one day after a very late night I stopped by to get something to eat and I am so glad that I turned around just for this food truck. It sounds silly but their food really does bring me comfort. I love the environment and the owners are super nice and sweet, I make the effort to come here with my friends every so often because I regret not coming here sooner since I live right next-door, I will be graduating this semester, and I like to get their food as a reward after doing homework or a rough night at work. This place is amazing and doesn’t fail to put a smile on my face :)“
“Ooooh my goodness, just yes! ? My husband and I both had the chicken pad Thai, and that’s the most flavorful I’ve ever had. Fresh ingredients too, and wonderful attentive service. The dining area is a little small, but it’s still a very cozy atmosphere! I highly recommend them, very solid portions for the price as well. Happy customer, 5 stars! ✨“
“This is like a sweet mom and pop shop (:I love eating here, the waitresses are always so sweet and the staff is amazing. The food is amazing quality (my grandma and mom are immigrated from Thailand and LOVE the quality of the Thai food here.)I can personally attest for my grandma, who is undergoing chemo, that it has been so hard finding food she will actually eat for the last few months. She’s requested we bring her here to Thai Cafe a handful of times because she SPECIFICALLY misses and craves the authentic Thai food that she had back in Thailand.“
“I really loved the Chicken Pad Thai here, it was delicious. This is their express location and it’s literally next to the gas station, parking may be challenging but the food is totally worth it and the prices are really good too. The service is fantastic, friendly and attentive.“
“Best Thai food hands down. Not a lot of choices but what they have, they do very well in deed! Can't find a better pork belly dish! It is all just yummie!Husband and I enjoy their food! Their food is great and good quality! Service is quick and on time, every time!“
“Be aware that there are only two benches outside for seating. This is more of a lick up place. You really don't get any service because you order at a kiosk and they text you when ready at the counter or locker. It is in a very questionable side of town right next to the freeway. We ordered the lomein and the wonton nachos. Perfect portions, great flavors, my nachos were just missing jalapeños. I enjoyed the food but the ambiance was not so cute. Next time I know this is not a place to sit and eat.“
“Love, love, love.... my favorite "go-to" spot for take-out. I haven't had a chance to dine in yet, but hope to soon! Friendly staff and owners. Have vegetarian options - we always ask for no fish sauce, and they have no problem making it for us. Large orders don't take too long! ? A++“
“The food are very good and the portion is very generous. The owners are very nice and they remember what is my usual order. The ingredient is fresh and good quality. I highly recommend this place. I hope that the owners could find more help and open the dine-in service soon. It is just two of them running this place and they try their best to provide the best food and service. So if they are busy please be kind to them.“
“Lunch portion was a pretty decent size, pad thai was good, though I think next time I'll get a hot instead of the medium since it was still pretty mild for my taste. The thai tea was too milky. Overall I would visit again.Parking: Went around lunch time, parking was ok but the lot is shared with other businesses so it might be more difficult during the dinner rush“
“The food was on point one of the best thai restaurants I have been to the fresh summer rolls the best the peanut sauce with some red chili sauce perfect combination and the pad thai chicken from the chicken noodles the green onions eggs peanuts sauce cooked to perfection thank you give them a try you won't be “
“Pad Thai was so delicious. Egg rolls were nice and crispy. They were a little greasy, but nonetheless delicious. If it’s on your delivery apps, order it.. if not just go by and pick it up, they operate out of a ghost kitchen. 10/10 recommend!!“
“Today I ordered the Lemongrass Noodles with chicken. It was absolutely delicious. My first time eating here and I will definitely be back. The owner Paula is so personable and welcoming. If you want tgreat Thai food then this is your place to go!!! Oh and the Thai Tea is oh so good as well!!“
“If I lived closer I would be here at least once a week. This place has the BEST pho in San Antonio. The broth is just so good. The workers are very nice and even remember us now. It gets a little quiet inside sometimes but there’s something about the 5 minute crafts they play constantly that makes me enjoy the experience a little more. I’ll probably always come back here“
“I find the owners could not be any more helpful. I asked for a dish that would have lots of vegetables and the Pad Wun Sen was suggested I had never had glass noodles but figured I like noodles. how can I go wrong? The dish was wonderful. I've had it several times since. On a different note, if you like real Italian food, homemade noodles check out the Italian restaurant at the other end of the strip center. Lol, 2 reviews for the price of one“
“This place is our hidden gem. We are regulars when we want a quick Thai fix especially since it is close by. They're menu isn't as expansive as since other Thai places, but it is good and very authentic. I just been to Thailand many times, so having a that restaurant close by is fantastic.Vegetarian options: Just like most Thai places, they offer veggie only or tofu selections.“
“It had been a number of years since I'd visited Thai Dee. It's got a fabulous reputation for good Thai food. Went for lunch. Lunch special Pad Thai was disappointing. The noodles, although perfectly cooked, lacked a distinctive taste. The sauce seemed too much like tomato sauce. But it was a huge portion and certainly enough to take home and have for at least two more meals. Spring rolls were better than the Pad Thai. They were delicately fried, but they also lacked for a distinctive flavor.Excellent and attentive service. Pleasant atmosphere.Parking lot is small and finding a space can be a challenge because the adjoining convenience store does not allow anyone but their customers to park at the entrance to their store.Parking: Very small lot and some of the spaces are very tight. Be prepared for this fact.“
“I’m Vietnamese and can truly say this restaurant is authentic and delicious!!! I get the pho with meatballs and my son loves the rice plate with grilled pork. The staff treats their guests like family. I’ve met the owners and they are the most sweetest people who puts so much love in their food. Come and eat the best Vietnamese food and let’s support this family owned small business y’all! so good I want some right now!“
“This is a special place. I've never been to Thailand myself, but my guess would be that the food and atmosphere here are likely representative of authentic Thai culture and eats. Subdued, inviting interior with attentive, cordial staff. Owner seems to already be present and it is evident in the repeated quality of the food and experience. Love to dine in but you get exceptional food to go here as well. Packaged with thoughtfulness everything needed to eating back at home.“
“My friends and I came to dine in for dinner and had the best experience here. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the Drunken noodles, fried rice and garlic stir fry and the presentation was just amazing and the food very delicious. I will be recommending this restaurant to all my friends and family. I recommend trying the shrimp tempura as an appetizer. Will definitely be coming back. Special thanks to Walter and Bua for giving us an enjoyable experience at their restaurant.“
“Picked up food today around 8:00pm on a Monday; the food was hot and fresh. Ordered cheese rolls, Mussaman Curry Chicken and Chicken Phad Thai. The servings were generous and the food was incredible. I will be coming back for my next Thai food take out.“
“Great Thai food and nice service. My favorites here are Garlic Chicken, Basil Chicken, and love the vegetable soup. The owner is young and growing his business. The food quality and consistency is excellent. I highly recommend it!Vegetarian options: You can basically order any dish and simply ask for vegetables only in that particular flavor.“
“The food here is very good quality and is very tasty. The person who took my order for to go was very kind and quick. Because I did not dine in, I can't speak to that experience, but what I noticed while inside to place and pick up my order was that the place was super clean and comfy. I check health inspection reports before eating anywhere the first time; this place scores super highly every time. Check em out!“
“We were looking for an Asian meal for dinner and decided to try this spot tonight for the first time. My husband and I were VERY happy with our pork fried rice (actual slices of well seasoned meat vs minced cubes), curry chicken and sample of appetizers. Bonus: Military Discounts given! We give it a 5/5 and will definitely return!“
“1st time here. Their service alone is outstanding! The place is clean, cozy, and quaint! I ordered a bowl of Bûn with shrimp (shrimp is extra), and it was absolutely delicious, full of flavor! The dishes have soul! You can taste the love! Their other dishes look intising! Louie made my experience very pleasant. I'm glad I stepped in! I will certainly be back again, this time with a BYOB! Come check them out for yourself!!“
“I got the basil beef and it was delicious. I wish there was a little more meat in my dish, but the portions were good. If you expect larger portions this is not the place. I also tried their cream cheese straws (ragoons?) which I enjoyed. Everything was made to order so my food was hot. The restaurant was clean. Waitress was very attentive and kind. The only negative in my experience was the tea was watered down.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian dishes“
“Never ate here before - but it’s now my Favorite Thai!!! I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp & spring rolls. The spring rolls are absolutely DELICIOUS!!! They’re light, crispy and tons of fresh flavor ♥️ The shrimp on my Pad Thai were HUGE - LOVE THIS PLACE!“
“This hole in the wall restaurant is my new favorite Thai place. The first time I went I got the red curry which is phenomenal. It is such a wonderful comfort dish. And my boyfriend got the Bangkok fried rice. That was good, but I liked mine better! The second time I went I got pad phet, I wanted to try something new and was not disappointed. It was so delicious everything I’ve eaten here I loved I would recommend this to anyone.Vegetarian options: Any dish there can be prepared with or without meat, or with tofu instead.Parking: It’s in a shopping center with a bunch of other businesses so it is a little difficult to find parking.Wheelchair accessibility: This business is on the first floor with no steps“
“Amazing Thai food! ? it's been so hard to find real Thai dishes. The plates we had are tender and full of flavor, we couldn’t eat it all and took the rest to go. The owner is so kind and the environment was beautiful ? We will be coming back! Highly recommend!“
“Tried this place after reading all the reviews. Can't say that I was disappointed! It was very good and the service was great. Also, for a food truck, it was exceptionally clean! We had the chicken pad Thai, chicken massaman curry and shrimp basil and don't forget the mango sticky rice! It smelled Devine. We couldn't wait to eat so we sat on the back of the SUV and ate it there. Everything was delicious and hot. We'll definitely go back soon and recommend it to everyone.“
