We went here to celebrate a birthday and the birthday girl loves TX bbq. They wanted to try a new spot so we came here but it probably wasn't a great idea because we were about to go to Terry Blacks and their bbq is on point. This place is ok. The food isn't bad, it just doesn't stand out. One thing people thought was pretty good was the smoked wings but thats about it. Its a good spot with good service. If you're in the area and want to try the wings I would suggest it.
I'm going to be honest with y'all....the Mac and cheese is the only good thing. I haven't been here in a while, but that is literally the only thing we got that was good. It slaps...hard. The rest of the food is meh.

As a BBQ joint, this is a journey to yesteryear when "good BBQ" was good enough. In the past 15-20 years, BBQ has gotten so upscale and refined that places like The Green Mesquite are now an afterthought when you want some good BBQ. Where they shine, though, is variety, ambiance, and location.
