“This place was wonderful! We made a reservation for 7 because at lunch time they were very busy. I enjoyed the appetizer that we had mushrooms and brussel sprouts! They were wonderful! I chose the salad with salmon. It was perfect! Definitely will say it's the ace to go!”

“Chicken wings are their specialty and they do not disappoint! You can choose on a scale of not hot to killer hot spices. Staff is excellent, very friendly! Noise level is really high. They need some sound boards on the ceiling. Next time I'm back in town I'll be here for dinner! Highly recommend!”

“A delightful bakery with a wide selection of pastries,pies, kolaches, and other goodies. Very clean, and good presentation. Staff is helpful and courteous. You can drive through, or enjoy coffee and pastries while sitting inside or on the covered porch. Definitely recommend!”

“We drove all day to get to Schulenburg, and I'd do it again just to eat at Tulum Cafe. The first thing I noticed was how good it smelled. The food was probably the best Mexican cuisine I have ever had. The service was great. We're going back there for dinner tomorrow night since we'll still be in Schulenburg. Why go someplace else when this is the best!”

“The buffet does not look tempting, so I ordered this brisket dish by showing waitress a photo from google review. She told me it is a hidden menu item but I can order it.The sweet potato is good, but the sausages and briskets are so-so, the brisket is too lean and has no smoke flavor.Service is good though, and I like their deco.”

“Stopped here on a road trip and loved it! Waiter was attentive and efficient. They brought out warm chips and salsa immediately, plus a free queso because it was a weekday. The food was SO delicious. I ordered the rolled beef fajita tacos from the lunch menu and it was a lot of food. Kids plates were plentiful and devoured. I especially liked how the food was not over salted (as many restaurants do). You could taste all the flavors and the rice and refried beans were amazing! P.S. had to take my daughter to the bathroom and the women's was busy so we used the men's bathroom and it was clean and tidy!”

“It truly deserves 5 stars! When you go to eat at a local fast food restaurant, what do you expect? Usually my standards aren't very high for getting a quick cheap bite from a chain fast food place around here. However , this subway has blown me away! I regularly DON'T go out of my way to write a Yelp review, but this subway is exceptional! First of all, the atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and upbeat. It is super clean/well maintained and I feel comfortable coming in to enjoy my meal. At this location, the service is always consistent, friendly, and fast! Most of the time I order from the subway app, and drop in to pick up my sub. When I get there, the sub is ready. Because I am a regular, they recognize my order and know immediately I am there for pickup ! As for the food, it's awesome. The ingredients are fresh, and the sub is made exactly how I specify! The girls who work here pay attention to detail and the sub is put together neatly. They have exceeded my expectations and gone above and beyond. I look forward to eating here! The girls who work here deserve a raise. I definitely recommend this subway.”

They have a Taco Bell location attached to their main building, but also offer other already prepared meal options. The bathrooms are located on the right side of the building. The women's bathrooms does not have as many stalls as compared to other Pilot Travel Center locations so keep that in mind if you are stopping here during a busy time. “This was the cleanest, friendliest, and tastiest Dairy Queen I have ever been to. I'm from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and their DQ's are horrible. I love DQ but hate going to them. They seem to be always dirty with lazy employees. I was impressed and pleasantly surprised with this location. We stopped for a treat during our road trip back home from the TX coastline and I am so glad we did! Kudos to all the staff at this location! From the cashier to the ice cream handlers to the cooks in the back...great job!”

“I came here around 2pm on Tuesday Feb 20, 2024. Like most people I am more motivated to leave complaints rather than praise. But in my 47 years I have never had such a perfect burrito and taco. Every bite was as good from the first to the last. Perfectly distributed. I don't know who is doing this but they deserve raises and should train the entire chain on how they do it, because this is how it should be. Thank you everyone here for making my day a bit better. ?”

“Even though it's small and connected to gas station, this place packs big flavors! I stopped in for breakfast while waiting for my car service. There's a smattering of tables and booths that are all clean. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. There are about 6/8 breakfast options and 16/18 lunch/dinner plates. I had the Huevos Rancheros over easy. Everything was prepared perfectly. Good yolk and salsa, you could taste the chiles in every bite and the flour tortillas were fresh. Can't wait to try lunch next time I'm in the area.”

“The food was delicious but the stuff they clean the tables with smells pretty bad. Some kind of lemon bleach. Still, everything at our table looked great. My ribeye was cooked just right. The folks working were very nice and gave very good service. I just wish they would get a little less industrial cleaner!!”

“Went looking for Apple Struedel I had at a family gathering and found out had to pre-order it. But loaded up on a box full of awesome goodies. The kolaches and apple fritters were yummy. “We drove right past this place as it is in a gas station. I hesitated to go in but my friend encouraged me! Friendly greeting as we approached the counter. Menu is posted on the wall. Very clean. We ordered and the food was out in minutes. They brought out fresh chips that they make at the restaurant. The food was delicious and fresh. We had a wonderful lunch at a very reasonable price”

His name is Lawrence Francis the store he operates in is #484 His energy is what made me try the chicken here, once I did , i was hooked. I can tell Lawrence is a glass almost full type of guy , always thinking forward , rarely dwelling and loathing of past mistakes . Everytime I visit this location I leave with a new memory of how much of a stand up guy he is ! Mr.Francis is a king and it shows the way he treats people !
