“I've been coming to this place for over thirty years. Was so excited whenever they reopened after the pandemic. This place had the best chicken fried steak anywhere! I get that at every restaurant I go to and nobody has been able to beat McClain's CFS! The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because of my waitress caring more about the other customers than myself. When I was ready for my check and a to go box, I had to wait a while because my waitress was sitting at a table with other customers. I made eye contact a few times to try to get her attention but she kept just sitting there talking so I had to ask a different lady for a to go box and drink. She went up to my waitress for the ticket, which she handed over and then sat right back down with those customers. Ugh!”

“Great customer service. The food is made with pride and care, ensuring all aspects of dishes and ontreas are top-notch quality. Only problem we have is deciding what to eat. the entire menu is amazing.”

“12/24/2023... No question, the best Italian restaurant around Cedar Creek Lake. Much better than Vetoni's when it was here and definitely better than Billito's. This is authentic Italian/Mediterranean food.”

“We had a nice dinner, the food was really good and was served quickly. We had several people wait on us but still had to ask for the item we ordered, it seemed like the servers were trying to help each but stuff just got missed. The restaurant itself has been family owned since 1983 and it looks like it could be time for some fresh decor. It wasn’t bad just on the tired side.”

“Set out to take my teenager bowling for the first time and when we arrived at the bowling alley we where treated like garbage because they where busy , we decided to check you guys out just to do anything, well when we walked in we where greeted with nothing but smiles , staff turned our whole day around and we ended up having a wonderful time there , the prices where excellent, the place was clean and family friendly, , the vibe was perfect, so happy we ended up here , we will be coming as regulars from now on , so much fun , and again the staff where just absolutely delightful”

“My husband and I go here pretty much every weekend for donuts. Especially for the cinnamon twists! It's a cute little joint, don't expect much for selection; this isn't Dunkin donuts. The employees are very friendly and patient. It's about what you would expect for a family owned, local, small donut place. ?”

“This is the same place stephan hawking was caught fitting a Guinness world record amount of sausages in all his orifices in the bathroom and was caught. Supposedly this is what completely disabled him. Luckily he had an idea that if he could just use Google to get answers for everything people would remember him as a genius and not a sicko with a kielbasa sausage fetish. Great food though!”

“The service was great. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. She answered questions about my verde sauce question and even brought me the two different types to try. Their homemade verde sauce is wonderful! The food was really good except for one small thing. The queso on the chimichanga was not to my liking as I seen on other reviews. They could use new queso. But the chimichanga, rice, beans, hot sauce, verde sauce was all delicious! The price was reasonable. El Jacalito will see me and my Son again!”

“Always a long wait for me, but they're usually busy when I go, and I go there knowing it'll take a bit, so no worries. I've never had a problem with any food. I wish the ordering board was on the other side of the building. So many people have ridiculously LOUD trucks, and its near an intersection, so it hard to hear when they go by. “Come early! There's a line, and they run out of food. We arrived 45 minutes after they opened, and they had already run out of a third of the meat options. The elote and Mac and cheese were just delicious. The chopped brisket was moist and plentiful—a great place for lunch.”

“Got Smoked on the Go rib rack literally falls off the bone. I've never been a fan of ribs in the past, various reasons. I ordered the chopped beef samich, always excellent here. Each visit I heard interesting references to the rib racks. And it seemed like the customers all around had a rib rack. But I was still skeptical when Jim & Ann said I should at least try them. I finally gave in & placed an order for a rack for the next day.Well let me tell you. Jim pulled it off the smoker when I arrived, then ceremoniously demonstrated how tender & juicy the rack actually was by picking one of the rib bones and just sliding it right out of the rack. Whut?? I didn't know that was even possible. I'm already standing there awestruck staring while he proceeds to illustrate that it was possible to remove all the long bones. I started having actual hope that these would be the ribs that I could finally actually eat and enjoy (bite, chew, without a knife to cut cross grain into baby pieces).Ann & Jim are both smiling & laughing at my surprised expression, then encouraged me to take that first bite. Full of mixed emotions at this point, fear that the bite or taste wouldn't hold up to the visual expectations vs the thrill of possibly finding the elusive perfect rack.Realize I gave up trying to eat ribs years and years ago.I took my first bite. I barely had to chew. It literally melted in my mouth. It had the perfect resistance. The perfect chew. Perfect across the grain bite. I'm telling you folks, it was beyond perfect. Uptown New York fancy chef perfect. So perfect that I didn't even feel bad that I ate my fill in the car before getting it home to put what was left on the table for my husband for what was supposed to be a sit down dinner. No remorse either. Lol.”

“We ate in my husband had the Burritos plate, he said it was really good and really liked the hot sauce with the chips. I had a hard taco and the large Nachos. The taco was stuffed with meat lettuce and cheese, I mean stuffed and the Nachos were loaded, even had queso and beef on the first layer. I added my jalapeños, so good. Lots of food!”

“Kocoroko Munchies is a lovely snack shop that offers a warm and cozy atmosphere, filled with a wide variety of delicious goodies. Every time I visit, the shop owner and her family greet me with a warm and friendly welcome, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I have tried many items from their vast selection, and I am yet to be disappointed with any of my choices. If I could give this place a 10-star rating, I would in a heartbeat!”

“I got to order to go and I specifically asked for a burger with no mayonnaise on it no matter what and the waitress even wrote down no mayo on the ticket but when I got home which is over 30 mi away I realized that the burger was covered w/mayo and I had given her a $20 tip!”

“Had a great morning on the lake with my family today! My sister and nieces were in town, and we had a blast pulling the kids on the tube! Everyone at LSM made the whole boat rental process a breeze, from reservation to check in. We will definitely be using them again next summer!”
