“This is my first time being to this restaurant , it was very good, hot, fresh, the host was very polite and recommended something’s. At the we being here we saw the buffet so we started tasting the dishes they placed and everything turned out excellent, and tasty.Mainly the goat biryani was so delicious and smooth? and i tried this with chicken masala curry and it took it to the next level. We can also try some vegetarian options like dal, paneer masala with rice and naan’s. So I recommend this for few of their dishes to be eaten and the staff was very polite with positive attitude and communication and the they serve to customers. We can go with friends, families and with kids. The ambience was quite pleasant. We have free parking in-front of the restaurant.“
“We get the loaded fries they're fantastic. The chicken on them is so crunchy and well seasoned. Be warned the fries get very soggy after like 3 minutes because of the GENEROUS amounts of cheese sauce. The owner is very polite and very honest. We've been here twice and the quality is consistent as shown in the pictures I put. 10/10 would recommend!“
“I’ll be honest - I judged the restaurant before I ate the food. The employees were all American and since this is supposed to be an Indian restaurant, I felt like the food would be too ‘Americanized’.My friends and I ordered Paneer Biryani, Paneer Tikka, Lamb Rogan Josh and Keema Naan. The food was super flavorful. We took ‘hot’ and it was spiced but not spicy. I especially loved the two curries. The biryani was also great.I took out one star because the buffet for this place has very limited options for $20. The Indian buffets I go to usually are ~$22 and have a larger variety, so this felt disappointing. But other than that, great food! The employees were also helpful and kind.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, as is true with any Indian restaurant :)Parking: Free parking lot right in front of the restaurant.“
“I've had bad experiences with briyani at other restaurants in Houston, so I've never been a fan. But this place is different! The food is fresh and delicious. I look forward to my wife and I eating here often since we just moved across the street!“
“All you need to know is that their curry/masala is very very good. Everything else, smoothies, bread etc, was also amazing. If you like this kind of food this is a must. Please note that their wait time is a little longer (about 10-15 minutes to get your main course) but it's nothing compared to the flavor you'll get for that wait.“
“Ginger garlic chicken is delicious! Kind of similar to chili chicken or chicken 65, but with a ginger twist. The papadum is good, but you only get two pieces for $3. Food arrives quickly! The onion pakora is fantastic. Very light and crispy. I got both roti and garlic naan. I much preferred the naan. The roti was cooked crispier than I expected it to be. My wife loved her chicken tikka masala. It is made with white meat chicken. Drinks do not have ice, and the air conditioning is not used in the dining area. The temperature was not too bad, but I can imagine it being uncomfortable in the summer time.“
“I got the special boti- samosas a mix of 2 beef and two chicken- the chutney was Amazing- the kebab sandwich (boti) was so flavorful and yummy… I also ordered the butter chicken- it was delicious as well. I will definitely be going back! Great food!“
“Khau Gully is a casual counter restaurant serving vegetarian Indian food and snacks. I like the modern spartan gray decor although the bright white lighting can be uninviting to some. We thought it would be helpful if there are pictures accompanying the food names as we would like to try the different snacks. Usually if we don't know, we would google the food names. We opted to try what we are familiar with, samosas and dosa and the vegetarian thali tray to get a taste of various things. The samosas/crispy fried pastry here had a flavorful spiced potato filling and the pastry dough was crispy but not overly greasy, which I like. The dosa /lentil batter crepe was also light and crispy, the filling was flavorful, very good and satisfying; their dosa was among the better ones in this area I would say. Overall, the vegetarian food here is solid and not greasy. I will be back to try the various snacks and the dosas.“
“I absolutely love Tarka!! My family and I are obsessed. Growing up, our neighbors would babysit us (they were Indian) and the smell of walking into Tarka smells exactly like their kitchen/house and brings back such sweet memories! The food is great, the price is great (I compared to chick-fil-a and it came out to be the same price to feed everyone, obviously I’m going to opt for the real and healthy food at Tarka!)“
“FANTASTIC EXPERIENCECame for a late lunch and appreciated having the restaurant to ourselves. We got the appetizer platter, Hariyali Paneer, Hariyali Chicken, mango lassi, and Paneer Hara Masala. The Paneer Hara Masala was a delicious tomato-like curry with veggies and paneer(similar to ricotta cubes) and the Hariyalis were a very flavorful cilantro-based dish with a 3-pepper rating on the menu, but we compared it to a milder jalapeño spice level. The waitresses were VERY friendly and the main one took time to chat with us about our food and complimented my boyfriend and I making it the most well-rounded restaurant meal we ever had.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and, at least, 5 vegan options with paneer or lentils as main ingredients“
