“This is my first time here, I wanted some chilaquiles and found this place on Google maps. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a very welcoming smile from the staff, the waitstaff is amazing here! Food is wonderful! I had the Chilaquiles with green sauce and they were delicious! I asked if I could substitute the chicken or beef with Carne Guisada… right away I was told “sure thing!”, no hesitation, no charge.. very accommodating!! Homemade flour tortillas, too!“
“Very nice people, service is very good. The food is good. It's the closest that has an authentic taste to Mexican food that's not Texmex. Not that I don't like it, but I prefer the authentic taste. Oh, the tortilla soup is really good!“
“Escalante's is the definition of Mexican Fine Dining. I understand you usually don't mix those words together but here it works from top quality food, top shelf drinks and amazing service. My steak with the tequila peppercorn sauce was simply amazing and my wife's spinach enchiladas leftovers were epic the next day,lol. The Mango Margaritas are dangerously tasty and the selection of tequilas are phenomenal. But what made this a lifetime memorable experience was the service. We ordered the guacamole and Miranda, our server, turned a simple chip dip to an amazing tasty dinner show with her making this amazing appetizer right at our table. Made for the PERFECT DATE Night. Thank you Miranda and Escalante' chefs for a truly memorable evening.“

“OK so I’m coming into work and I drive by this place (gas station) every morning and on the way home. I decided to stop in and get me two breakfast tacos. Those ladies in there could be anyone’s mother the way they make dishes is like sitting at home. Those tacos were the BOMB as I waited for my tacos I read their menu they serve lunch and dinner and on the weekends they have menudo. They also have family packs as well this is not just a gas station it’s a dam restaurant in a gas station!! This is a must try for breakfast, lunch or dinner!!!“

You get a pretty big burger and fries for 9.99, which is pretty solid!I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area.Parking: Parking is limited, the gas station that hosts the truck is pretty busy.“

“For the first time in my long life I ordered a burger from a Mexican restaurant! It was the best burger I've ever had and I come from the south! I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. The fries were good and all but that burger though! The bread is what sweet it apart first, plus the melty yummy cheese dripping down the sides, then my hands, it was so messy and the messier stuff is too eat, the better it tastes to me! The bun bread was warm and soft able buttery and just a little sweet. Omg it was so good! Then the burger was thick and juicy and cooked to perfection! “Picked up a Ruthie's Fajita Pack for 8 today to feed a crew that is a little particular about their fajitas. Food was ready when i got there, staff were amazing and friendly. Hands down big win. Chicken and beef fajitas were well seasoned, juicy, and all the sides were fresh and delicious. The entire crew to a man gave high fives to the meal. Not a crum or drip of queso was left over. Thank you Ruthie's! Awesome meal.“
“I came to grab a quick lunch 30 minutes before closing. They served me a warm plate of carne guisada with rice, bean and corn tortilla with a fresh pico de gallo and green salsa. The food was fresh and delicious. I came back the next day for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed chilaquiles rojos with chicken, huevos mexicanos, and a barbacoa taco. The food once again, hit the spot and our bellies were happy! The salsas are authentic and full of flavor. I will be coming again and highly recommend for a warm, fresh, plate of authentic Mexican cuisine.“
“This is such a great place to get tacos, and mexican food. Chismosa’s is located in the Citgo gas station, and was not expecting much, but I was blown away by how absolutely delicious the food was. I personally ordered a beef fajita tacos with green sauce, onion, and cilantro. It was definitely one of the best tacos I have ever had. it was really hot and freshly cooked. the beef was absolutely wonderful, and everything was at a good price too. everyone was really nice, and the atmosphere and environment were nice and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this place and come back when given the chance!!“

“Came here after our private court wedding with our loved ones. A party of 20. Reserved the backroom. The waitress and assistants we on top of of everything. They were timely with their refills. Didn't have to wait long between appetizers and main course. Really loved the atmosphere. “I ordered El Sombrero. I live close to the border. So I know mexican food. When I go away from on vacation, 99% of the time mexican restaurants are not good. BUT Pappasito was so great it moved to my #1 food restaurant to eat. The fajita broke easy. The rice and bean are great. Avocado and piccolo de Gallo were good and fresh. cheese enchilada was not drowned in the sauce that it overpowered the enchilada like other places. Chips and salsa were great that even my daughter was eating. With every bit, my taste buds were going crazy. Restaurant is actually very big than what it looks like. Again, this is my #1 restaurant. I haven't tried delivery or to go because it never tastes the same with all the food mix, and depending on how long it gets to, you might get dry and soggy. I recommend eating there. Whoever the chiefs were last night, March 14 2024. All I can say is, wow. Bravo.“
