“Starters very tasty. Artichoke dip particularly. Surf and turf was good. Surf (shrimp) was very plump and tasty, but turf was a tad too dry. Fish and chips ended up being fish and wafers LoL. Overall a better place than a chain restaurant. Perhaps the best in this area.“
“Excellent place to eat in Texarkana for dinner. Good choice of beers (they brew their own beers) and cocktails. The old fashioned was perfect. We had the Smash burger and the Reuben both very generous and tasty. Special mention for the peach cobbler which was so yummy ! Service was very kind and friendly.“
“So the wife and I were looking for a different place to eat in Texarkana on our day of taking care of business. We had heard about this place before, but had been told by some it was meh. But we wanted to try it and after looking at their menu options and the price, we were pleasantly surprised how reasonable it was. So we traveled to this little diner and gave it a try. We were very pleased. The place looks like your old ma and pa little dives. And that's what I love. We were greeted by the nicest (but very vocal) lady. She was a hoot. We went on a Monday so we got the Monday specials. My wife got the Chicken Spaghetti and I got the Chicken Fried Steak. The specials come with potatoes and gravy, green beans and a salad, as well as a dessert options (which they have plenty of). The meal also included a drink for under $12. I will say the Chicken Fried Steak could have had more salt and might not have been as tender as I would have liked (which is why I can't give 5 stars, but it's closer to 4.5). But my wife's chicken spaghetti was excellent. The service was quick and friendly. I loved the paintings on the wall with their positive messages and I loved the antique rack with all the older items. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back. I will say it can get busy very quick and there is not a ton of seating so get there early. But either way give this place a try. You won't regret it.“
“Wife and I went on a recent Saturday night, the it was excellent. The food, drinks, and service were all top notch. Highly recommended. We had the Becky shrimp, duck tacos, Kabayaki Poisson, duck grits, and bread pudding. All fantastic. Wine and cocktail selection was great.“

She was very personable and attentive and even suggested place of interest when she found out we were visiting from out of town.The overall atmosphere score would have been higher if not for the attitude of Karen. “Pretty busy on Sunday noon. Most of the time if there's a wait it won't be long. They close at 3:00 on Sundays which is not a problem that way they can have time with family and maybe go to church service. All for that. Food is great even on busy days. Waitress are great. Price is not bad either. 9 X out of 10 this is where you can find me after church on Sunday.“
“I got an amazing salad from here. I was able to make two means out of it. I went back the next week and the truck wasn't there. How do I know where the truck will be parked? Was it a fluke the day I got it, & it's normally at the address listed? I've really been craving their salad, but WHERE WILL THEY BE?“
“Things have improved since my last post. The music is not so oriented to early 20's crowd and the volume is lower. It looks like they have worked to increase the staffing shortages due to COVID. Yes, prices have gone up - but this has happened everywhere.“
“Nice little store with courteous staff. I like that it stays open later then the others nearby like til 1am or later sometimes. He was closing down once when I pulled up he already had the lights off and the window locked, but he opened the window and took care of me anyway. I don't forget that kind of extra service. Oh and this store even has games in it.“

“Me and my fiance had been on the road for almost 12 hours straight at the point when we stopped here to get something to eat about and 1 ½ before closing time *approx. 11:30p* (traveling from the Columbus, Oh area to Southern Texas) and our waitress Bailey was absolutely PHENOMENAL! She was very nice, respectful, knowledgeable, and just all around absolutely incredible. If stopping in here to get something to eat if you can ask for Bailey as your waitress she took great care of us and made sure we didn't have to ask or want for anything during our visit there....Idk or think ? she would or ever will BUT if there's a small chance she will/does : Thank you Bailey for taking such good care of us and made us both really comfortable, I cannot begin to say how much it was appreciated!!!!“
“Myself and my family (we were traveling) to Texarkana to meet other family and we decided to go to Golden Corral for breakfast. When we walked in we were greeted and welcomed promptly then escorted to our table. Once seated we each took turns going to each food station getting our food. The food was fresh, hot and tasty.The hostesses were very quick to ask if we needed anything, cleared our used plates promptly and very attentive to each of us. The food selection was amazing and I only had 1 problem while dining at Golden Corral.Amongst' all of the tasty deliciousness of breakfast foods what did I see out the corner of my right eye? What do I see but Tacos staring at me....That's right, tacos at 0830 in the morning. Who does this? Golden Corral that's who, and guess what? I LOVE IT!!!!! This made me reevaluate my entire breakfast plate and that in itself was amazing.This Golden Corral get's 5 stars from me, from my family and I'm sure others. Keep up the great work and I'll definitely be coming back to see you all again on my next trip to Texarkana, TX.UPDATE 09/03/2022: Golden Corral continues to excel across the board. “Came here on a friday night and for me and my husbands birthday dinner, and they were packed. so i knew by that, that they were gonna be good. only a 45 min wait. got our appetizers and our food fairly quick. and our waitress (Esmeralda) was the best!! if yall go ask for her. she was very sweet, helpful, and attentive. if i could give this texas roadhouse 20 stars i would, they made our birthday dinner a great one!!“

“My husband is in a wheel chair. The greeter first tried to sit us at a table where he couldn't fit. She gave us a second table and walked away leaving me to move the extra chair and try to find a place it would not be in the way. We ordered feasts. More than 3/4 of the tables were empty but it took a long time to get our meals. Our server was very nice but didn't check our meals. Three items were missing from our meals. “Excellent wait service by Jax@@n. He was very courteous and respectful, and checked on me throughout the meal. Cashier staff were also very friendly. However, the seating area and bathroom were absolutely filthy. Layers of grime and grease over everything, including the railings, floors, bathroom stall and entry doors, stacked up highchairs that i could see. Litter everywhere on the floors, including the kitchen floor which I was facing. Trash bins were overflowing.“
“We hadn’t been for almost a year until tonight due to slow service, food not great, etc. Decided to give it another try tonight. So glad we did. Our server (Addy) was excellent. Food was out quick and delicious. Drinks refilled without asking. Everything you expect when you go out to eat. We will definitely be back soon.“
