My husband and I went out of our comfort zone and decided we were going to try something new. Excellent service and delicious food. From the seasoning and fresh ingredients it left us wanting to try more. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

We are out of our home town and we’re looking for a difference in cuisine. Athena Greek & American filled us up with some of the best ethnic food we have had in ages. From appetizers to dessert the entrees were authentic, delicious, and well priced. . The generous portions were tummy yummy delights. The friendly staff and the and the ambient atmosphere made our evening complete. The beautiful scenic travel slides almost made me want to hop the next flight the Greek Islands.

Really good lamb gyro and leaf wraps. My guest enjoyed her meatball sandwich, and she said the flavor had a little zest of spice! Baklava really good and fresh. The service was a little slow tonight as we had to wait a bit too long for placing orders and receiving the check. Definitely a bit understaffed with one guy as the server tonight. Prices are real good!

This traditional Greek restaurant is so incredibly pleasant. With impeccable service, the staff was eager to make us feel comfortable and suit our needs. My mother and I ate a nice lunch, with me getting the grilled shrimp and side salad her getting veggie pita. The meal was very comfortable, and we finished off with an order of their tiramisu, which was masterfully made. The food and our soft drinks all together cost $30, and we were sure to leave a tip that indicated our satisfaction! I will always return to this fine establishment.

We drive from Dallas and just love their food! OPA! Lashella when out of her way to help celebrate my wife's birthday. She decorated tiramisu for her. By the way...the food is great! I recommend the Zeus...perfect chicken!!

We were greeted fairly friendly when we walked in, which is a BIG DEAL to us. We ordered the sampler so we could taste a variety of items. It was very good! But, I ordered the Grecian spaghetti and it was so heavy I couldn't eat but a few bites. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu. I was thinking very light olive oil and some good cheese and garlic. It was tasty but just too heavy! Husband ordered something. It was just meat and pita bread beside it. We asked what kind of meat it was and the server didn't know either. It was fairly tasty. All in all, it wasn't bad. Just not good enough to go back for a long time. We loved the atmosphere and our server was nice!

GREEK! You will not find better Greek food within 100 miles of Tyler. I have been here many times. I always get the sampler plate. And if you like baklava they make it homemade and it is Legit.Great service! Great atmosphere! If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out.Oh and you can ignore negative reviews that say the service isn’t good. I’ve been here many times and it’s always good. I’m sure they have hard days. The food is very authentic as long as you’re eating Greek. I can’t speak for the non-Greek food they make.

First visit. Very friendly server. Restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, but was filling up nicely when we left. Several pick up orders. The food was delicious and the baklava was the best I've had in ages. The spanakopita was also great!

I was really looking forward to this meal and unfortunately Athena missed the mark. I was looking forward to getting the vibe that I was having a home-cooked meal back in Athens but it wasn't so. The meat was overseasoned and the food lacked freshness. Also the way the sandwich was constructed was haphazard as tazitki was leaking from the top like a dollop was dropped on there as an afterthought. The presentation of the food is generally lackluster and could be improved. The restaurant itself needs an uplift, the decor and lighting is a bit of a drag. The fries and potatoes were good. Oh and the waitress was nice although she almost set herself on fire presenting the sizzling saganaki.
