Wonderful zoo! We love coming here because a lot of the exhibits are close up which is great for the smaller kids. We also find it to be much less crowded and the exhibits don’t feel as spaced out (less walking for the littles). We can rush through it in 1.5hr’s or take our time and spend several hours. I can only echo the accolades of other writers; this zoo was a delight--perhaps our favorite across the country. It is designed for people to enjoy being close to the animals, and for the animals to have authentic environments in which to live and roam. First off, it was completely accessible. Good Zoo in a great Piney Woods location. The Zoo does not have a lot of animals like the huge city zoos, but a great selection and they are all in large natural habitats and they are easy to see. The location is great. It was hard to find parking, it was that popular!
