My sister and I arrived about 7pm on Saturday evening, place wasn't busy at all, maybe 6-7 tables being used. We both ordered chicken friend steak dinners with mashed potatoes and spiced apples. The chicken friend steak was so overcooked we couldn't even cut it with a knife, gravy tasted very sour, mashed potatoes were extremely cold. And to top it all off my spiced apples were full of hash browns . Even the server was shocked. Our server did an excellent job and was attentive and apologetic. She took my plate back to the kitchen and management told her to give me a small container of apples (about 1 serving) to take home. Felt as if manager just wanted to get us to pay our ticket and leave. Which is what we did. Spent almost $30 on food and left hungry. Cracker Barrel has always been one of my favorite restaurants but after tonight's disappointing meal I probably won't be back. Sad to care so little about customer satisfaction. We did leave our server a very nice tip.

Loud music, poor quality food, right out of a can, no flavors expected from a country cooking place. (Chicken fried steak is a battered hamburger paddy)

The host and the server were great. They both had such welcoming personalities, and they did their jobs well. The food on my plate looked a little like it had been thrown on there - very disheveled. The potatoes were also lukewarm. There were a couple of dirty tables nearby that stayed dirty during our meal.

Well, we gave them another try thinking that maybe it was just the one in Tulsa and Medford that was bad.We were wrong. The portion sizes seem to have shrunk over the past 5-6 years. Okay, but I was still getting enough food. But the food itself is a distant relation from what we used to get 15 years ago in the Tennessee stores. My meatloaf was slightly burnt and dry thoughout. The mashed potatoes were dry and the brown gravy needed a good bit of salt to find the flavor I was expecting. The corn was good as we're the ice teas.My wife had similar complaints about her food. The store was clean, the waiter was competent but not exceptional, it had the usual atmosphere that you'd expect.$31 before tip.We both said we'd have preferred to have gone to Canes where the chicken is always delicious and a lot cheaper.I have to say that I'm ready to avoid all cracker barrels in the future.Once one of my favorite restaurants, now one of my least favorites.Sad.

We went to try out this cracker barrel location. Their was a short wait to get in but not long. The service was good. The waitress was very nice towards our son. The food tasted good. The portions were decent. We'll definitely come back here.
