I always make it a point to go to Pittsburg for the hot links if I am in East Texas. I usually buy about 4 dozen because I have friends that are addicted to them too. Very nostalgic restaurant to sit and enjoy a few hot links as well. They are not really hot unless you dip them in the sauce that comes with them. Have eaten there since they opened and the hot links for the past 50 years. Today it was quite a shock. First noticed that they don’t have any prices posted. The hot links looked different in the bins but didn’t think much about it since they always tasted great. At checkout they charged 3.99% to use a card too. Offered discount for cash. This place was really good, but I am new to Texas and wanted to clarify more for other newbies. * "Big Red" is just a soda. You can get it at the supermarket. It has caffeine, so I'd compare it to Mountain Dew Red. They also have a diet version, and Rhea's had both. * The chili was good. It had no beans and, yes, was greasy/oily.
