What an amazing sandwich. I’m sure they get compared to Schlotzskis, but this is night and day. The bread is the starch of the show. I think they took it right out of the oven just to make my sandwich. Fresh ingredients and the staff is super friendly.
Whenever I travel to Waco, I have to eat at schmaltz’s! The best sandwiches you’ve ever tasted, and the staff is wonderful. I have been to both locations and you will not be disappointed at either one.

Ate here on a crazy-busy Friday at lunch time. Total props to the 10-person (at least) crew working the counter, putting all the food together, and getting it out. The in-house bread used for the sandwiches really is outstanding. I enjoyed my sandwich, though I could have used some sort of sauce to give it a little kick, as it was all bread/meat/veggies/butter from what I could tell (Schmaltz sandwich). I would definitely go again, though, the next time we are in town.
