“Ordered online and it was the most delicious Chinese cuisine me and my husband have had it’s going to be our regular now. Everything is seasoned and perfect flavors melt in your mouth thank you so much for making such amazing quality foodThe chicken fried rice, beef Lo Mein, and Pon Pon chicken were the best and HIGHLY RECOMMEND ?“
“Fresh and good value.Vegetarian options: There are few vegetarian options. I had the asparagus, cucumber, avocado roll and that was good. There is also miso soup. I think in total they have about 6 or so individual veggie rolls, some with a variation of the same ingredients.Dietary restrictions: I have a wheat and dairy sensitivity. They were able to make my rolls gluten-free and there was a decent selection of dairy free rolls. They brought me gluten-free soy sauce in a small bowl but I got symptoms shortly after eating with it. I’m not sure if it was cross contamination or what. If you can’t consume gluten, I suggest you bring your own tamari to be on the safe side.“
“Prepare to embark on a culinary journey beyond compare! We can't wait to experience every dish at this establishment. The succulent General Tao's Chicken and the zesty Orange Chicken danced on our taste buds, leaving us craving more. Paired with fragrant fried rice, adorned with delicate peas, carrots, and eggs, each bite was a symphony of flavors. The comforting warmth of the Egg Drop Soup enveloped us, boasting a velvety texture, tantalizing tofu, and a burst of savory goodness. And oh, the Sesame Balls! Crispy perfection on the outside, with a lusciously sweet red bean paste within, they were truly divine. Trust us, you'll be planning your return visit before you've even left the table.“
“If I could give this place six stars I would! The walnut shrimp is killer! We tried multiple other dishes and everything was fantastic! Everything tasted fresh and I left eating away more than I should. This is by far the best local Chinese around in my opinion. I will be headed back for sure.“
“It's a good tasting Chinese food. Wanton was amazing. The egg drop soup was good but did have a very small oil/greasy on the surface. The Orange chicken was crispy and with a bit of a kick of spicy sauce, which made it really good. Love the fried rice that came with the combination it had a good size chucks of ham.“
“Their food has gotten so much better since they first opened! I've only tried the jjampong (recently), black bean noodles (recently), and tangsooyook (not too recently), and the noodle dishes were really good! I've been making a stop here before going to Grizzlies hockey games. The only thing that made me ? was when I got yelled at for sitting at a table before ordering. Apparently at this restaurant which does not have table service, you have to order first at the register then get seated. Maybe there's a sign that I may have missed? ?♀️“
“We were sightseeing in Salt Lake City, not expecting to find the best Asian food, and I can definitely say this is one of the best noodle spots of all the restaurants I've tasted in the Bay Area, San Diego, and even China. The broth is complex and delicious, and you can tell they use a lot of different spices. At the same time, it's not greasy at all, so you can drink the entire bowl after you eat the noodles. I got the braised beef rice noodles both times I visited, and even my husband, a Chinese native, was impressed by the broth. The restaurant is small and homey. Service is very fast, and you are expected to clean up after yourself (so no tip is expected). I recommend getting here early and/or during off peak hours because it can get pretty busy--especially on weekends. Parking can be tricky to find during rush hours.“
“This place is sooooooo good. The service is always friendly, they are always coming around to see if you want more broth or meat, and every single thing in their food bar is delicious. It's almost annoying how good the fries are, because you don't go to hot pot for french fries, but even those are solid. I love coming here after a long run or a day of skiing. I have talked up this restaurant to every single person I can and honestly, sometimes I feel like I'm stealing from this restaurant based on the price of it. I can't get over how good of a deal it is!!“
“We went for a late lunch today, sadly to close to 3pm when they close, they close from 3pm to 4pm., but still were taken care with kindness. We had Wonton Soup, Pot Stickers, General Tso and Fried Rice. Food was amazing, I enjoyed the Fried Rice ? a lot. Good customer service, restaurant is really clean.“
“The food is very good, but the service is not, an older lady with glasses serves very poorly, there were 5 of us who went to lunch from work and one of the boys brought lunch, we asked the lady to allow her to heat up her food and let her If necessary, charge a fee for heating, even though we were going to consume 4 more people, the lady refused and sent another waitress not to help. The colleague had to go out to eat cold food in the car. Terrible service and total lack of humanity“
“Delicious, spiced, and fatty skewers. Get the beef four times, the lamb twice, the pork fat twice. Don't forget the mushrooms! Chinese BBQ cuisine brought straight from the night markets of Xi'an to West Valley City. Really. _Get only the skewers_. If you drink, add a beer or one of their unique cocktail styles. Get nothing else. Their barbecued skewers is legit. I don't know why the owners keep adding and diluting their menu choices with boring American-Chinese fare like Broccoli and Orange Chicken. Do they not realize how good their skewers are? That their restaurant can stand with just their barbecued meats? Stop trying to be a generic Chinese restaurant. Stick with the dream of serving the best BBQ sticks in the valley. Don't muddle what your restaurant is about. Be proud. Be unique. We'll do our part and eat just your delicious meat skewers.“
“Sean was the best server I've had in a long time. Genuinely the nicest and most professional server I've had in years. Food was great, atmosphere is what you expect at PF Chang's with an overall chain feel but all in all, a great experience. Will absolutely be back for more.“
“Been coming here for years since college, its iconic. Always gotten the spicy and sour glass noodles. The service here is always so nice.Sadly the price isn't what it use to be. 18 bucks for a bowl of noodles is kinda crazy :< but what can you do nowadays.“
“This is certainly my Chinese place! The food taste like the years of happy memories my family and I shared eating takeout from Red Maple. Staff is always pleasant, and in the 4 ish years we been coming, never had an issue once.Thank you Red Maple!“
“My husband, 10 month old, and I came here for a Valentines lunch date. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! We got 2 sushi rolls, pot stickers, and a sesame chicken plate. The food was brought out fast and tasted delicious. I highly recommend coming here!Kid-friendliness: I had my 10-month old and the staff was so cute with her and got us a high chair. They also didn’t mind the small rice mess she made.“
“I was doing a take out order. Ashley helped me, she was awesome! It was kind of a last minute order for a work lunch. And they made it happen in the emergency time frame I needed. The food tasted superb. Um, And joy's great cause there's always a handful of people that haven't gone here for a while. And they're like "oh man I forgot how good pay wei is"Parking: Lots of parkingKid-friendliness: It's a fun noisy environmentWheelchair accessibility: Yes wheelchair accessible“
“Place was well put together. Food tastes amazing, dishes are well thought out, place appears externally clean. Old building evident. Also fix the broken window, it makes the building look run down. Fish aquarium and decor was pretty and well planned. Service wasn't necessarily fast or consistent, kinda average friendliness. Food was just a 10 tho great job.“
“We go almost weekly. They have a great mix of dishes, both stuff that reminds us of food we ate growing up in Beijing, as well as more westernized Chinese food. Their sweet and sour chicken is the best I’ve ever had. Make sure you order a vegetable, they do remarkable things with a simple stir fried bok choy. The potstickers are also great.“
“Been going to Szechwan Express for at least 20 years. We love their food and the people who run it. We don't go as often as we used yo because we live further away, but when we want Chinese food, we will go out of our way to go to Szechwan Express. They're fantastic!“
“What started as a high school tradition turned into a sushi place I’ll always be able to count on. The atmosphere is homey, they are so fast with your food, it’s always good quality and yummy and overall they just make it easy. My family and I came here for Christmas dinner and my parents so pleased and impressed. The portions of the noodles are so big and the prices are amazing. The family that runs is it so hardworking and I cannot rave about this place enough.“
“This is mine and my boyfriends favorite spot! The food is always so unbelievably good and the customer service is always excellent! We get the shaking beef every time it’s to die for, but honestly everything we’ve tried from this spot has never disappointed. I couldn’t recommend this place more!Parking: Public parking garage across the street and free parking lot just down the street. Street parking as well“
“A wonderful noodle restaurant! A nice variety of dishes. Fast and friendly service. Delicious noodle dishes; hot and very tasty!Parking: Parking lot is shared with other businesses but with patience, there's a space.Wheelchair accessibility: Ample tables for a wheelchair customer. Didn't use the restroom to substantiate handicap accommodatng.“
“Overall Rating: 4/5 Food: 3.5/5 Initially, this would have been a 5/5. The flavors were great, with authentic Stir-Fried Pork Intestines and tasty Twice-Cooked Pork. The Boiled Beef in Hot Sauce was tender and smooth. However, there were some issues leading to deductions: Minus 1 point: A steel wool fragment was found in the Twice-Cooked Pork. However, the staff acknowledged the error with a good attitude and offered a 10% discount on the meal, hence only a one-point deduction. Minus 0.5 points: The Boiled Beef in Hot Sauce was served over a bed of cabbage, and there was an additional charge for rice. Service: 4.5/5 The staff were friendly and attentive, surpassing the service at the neighboring Lanzhou Noodle restaurant. However, there was a lapse in quality control of the dishes. Shouldn't a new dish have been prepared in light of the issue? Environment: 5/5 The restaurant's decor was comfortable, featuring Chinese-style paper umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. The dining environment was clean and hygienic, with well-maintained tables.“
“First off all, I LOVE how this place provides free delivery, especially since I don’t know of any other restaurants that do so anymore.Secondly, although they don’t have the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, there food is good, and I feel like it’s fairly priced as well:)“
“I hadn’t been to this restaurant for many years. Tonight we tried two dinner combinations. The chicken with snow peas, beef chow mien, ham fried rice, fried shrimp, cream cheese wontons, hot and sour soup and egg drop soup were all great and much better than I remember them being in the past. In fact the only item that I didn’t think was excellent was the egg roll. It had a bit of an odd flavor. Service was friendly and the prices were fair.“
“I love the food. It's reasonably priced. i have never been disappointed with anything i have ordered. They also offer delivery.Parking: They have their own parking lot that has plenty of stalls.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids' menu and the staff is very friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: The enry is on the ground floor and easily accessible for a wheelchair.“
“The food is fresh and nicely presented, amazing that it is prepared so quickly! We knew Jimmy from Teriyaki Boy and followed him here. He is so friendly and helpful. Our favorites are the Salmon and Broccoli Hibachi and the Steak and Chicken Hibachi.“
“I remember when China Chefs first opened. I told my friend we should go and check them out. I think this was back in 08? 09? Somewhere around there. I have been HOOKED ever since. Their food is the absolute BEST in Utah. We drive all the way from Lehi to get food from here. Love love love them!!“
“We were in on Sunday afternoon, and we had a great experience. We had Orange Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken with noodles. The noodles were way better than most competitors, and both meals were great! My partner likes her Kung Pao a little spicier, and our awesome server informed us that they'd be happy to give it a custom kick anytime. Just ask. That's our kind of service. The portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.“
“The King Buffet on Redwood Road, I do try to make it a weekly family night out and sometimes will go to their other location on State Street. But it's wonderful to see people coming in to enjoy Chinese food where there's a lot of foot traffic and it's great to see that so the chef can constantly cook fresh food when they are out of certain dishes. Other Chinese Buffet, their dishes be sitting too long and stale and you'll have a bad dinning experience. I decided not to post pics on what dishes they have as it's what they usually serve at every Chinese restaurants but do take a look at other peoples review. There are two thing I do notice between the 2 location is the Redwood location will have the stir fried calamari while the State Street don't have calamari and second, the State Street location has slice yellow onions at the Mongolian stir fried while the Redwood location doesn't which don't make sense but maybe people like calamari on the Redwood location so they serve it there. What makes King Buffet stand out, is the price and selection of dishes as you getting the best bang for ya buck with inflation being as bad but for $16.95 for each adults, its well worth its price for admission. Please keep in mind, I do notice a "2 hour limit" to eat posted sign on their menu board but I didnt have a feeling the place would kick you out for over staying more than 2 hours eating or/and even socializing as it would make their customer uncomfortable and put them in an awkward spot not to lose customers that be their regulars or even have a bad rep and eventually bad business to scare away future customers that want to enjoy the dinning experience . Hopefully, in the future, they can remodel the interior of the restaurant in the future to keep the place looking fresh as time will tell before it gets dull and old. The booth seat cushion is getting worn out and showing its age at some point I do notice and their table can bit slippery(your food plate can move like a puck if your not careful when trying to eat your food). Don't let their negative flaw discourage you from coming over here as their staffing/server was top notch checking on us consistently and taking our empty plates when we are done eating and refilling our drinks if needed. Did i mention there's no chocolate fountain or ice cream machine(State Street location has it). You could easily spend over $40 or more for a couple of Chinese food dishes at a regular Chinese restaurant that's not all-you-can-eat and still be hungry, so I do RECOMMEND you give it a try and I shall be back!Parking: Definitely plenty of parking!Kid-friendliness: Yes, there be kids and have kids dishes as well to desert to their liking.“
“Sometimes the meat turns out a lil dry but great still recommend avoiding coming in when its packed so the cooks can pay better attention to your foodVegetarian options: You make your own plateDietary restrictions: You build it they cook it“
“We go here about once a month. The food is good but avoid the soy sauce. It's very salty. The prices are fair and there's enough to feed a family of four for two days. We usually order Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken lo Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, and Egg rolls.Sometimes we like to get the Walnut shrimp or the Orange Chicken. For all this food, it costs around $42 for four adults. (About 10 dollars each yielding 2 meals for each of us. The Walnut Chicken is really good but a little higher in price. The atmosphere is typical for the venue, not exciting but certainly adequate.Kid-friendliness: Very casual“
“For a hole in the wall restaurant, with Styrofoam dishes and plastic utensils, the food is not that bad.It makes more sense to take the food home than to eat it there, which is what 95% of everybody who came after us did. And they were quite busy fulfilling many take out orders.“
“HIDDEN GEM! It doesn't look like much, but the personalized service and OMG the FOOD are prime top contenders in SLC. Best general Taos in the city. I liked it so much that I went for the seafood platter (a dangerous game at home-in-the-wall Asian cuisine). It was FRESH and prepared with the utmost care. What's CRAZY is that you could order during dinner rush or pop in at 3am and get the same quality. It's significantly better than competitors that charge 3 times as much.“
“First time trying Rice King Express tonight & we were excited as our family loves Chinese food! We had a small incident & called the restaurant & they made sure to take care of us. They replaced all of our food which says a lot about their service! The food tasted fresh & was hot & had great flavor! We will be coming back!“
“My family has gone here for over 25 years. It is our favorite Chinese restaurant & where we go for special occasions! I love the taste of everything I've ever ordered but usually end up getting my favorite dishes, all vegetarian with soy 'chicken'. They also offer meat dishes, so any meat eaters can get what they want as well. When I'm buying, everyone eats veggie, but my meat-eating kids don't mind because they love the soy 'meat'!My favorites (all soy chicken) Moo Goo Gai Pan, Mu Shu Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken. Also veggie Won Ton Soup & Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls. My kids also like the Hot & Sour Soup, & the beef & seafood dishes.Vegetarian options: There is a complete separate vegetarian menu as well as a separate meat menu. A lot of variety to choose from. This is the only place I've ever found that does a perfect vegetarian Sweet & Sour Chicken!“
“Visited Mings for the first time today. No lunch crowd as you would expect. Mostly regulars would be a great place if you’re in a hurry and don’t want to wait, we were seated right away. quaint little restaurant I’m fried rice was wonderful I don’t like vegetables in my rice so it was perfect because they don’t put it in there a Clara soup and hot sour soup. We’re both equally delicious. Definitely recommend this place for lunch.“
“Food was fantastic. All of the food was good but the fried dumplings and ham fried rice were absolutely amazing. Service was also good but not top notch. We walked in and I said 2 adults, 1 child please. Host replied with "what?" To which I responded, we are here to eat lol. I suppose that's probably because they get a lot of pickup/takeout orders but the interaction was just painfully awkward. There is a small child wandering around the cooking/food prep area, a child of one of the workers. It doesn't bother me, but they might want to be careful with that.“
“The staff was very welcoming upon entering. We ordered “Togo” but the inside seating looked plentiful and clean. Food quality is excellent and you get your money’s worth. Food was hot and tasty (flavorful). They are able to accommodate for both the meat eaters and vegetarians. Would recommend trying. Price point is a little high but again meals can be shared.“
“I’ve come here every now and then and I always love the food and atmosphere! They’re so welcoming and friendly! It’s a family own restaurant which they always make sure everyone is comfortable and well fed! I always ordered the Vietnamese rolls, pho and so many delicious dishes which gives a good amount of food with a good price! I highly recommend this restaurant! Please come check this amazing restaurant!???“
“My spouse and I pulled up last night and there was a sign saying that it was permanently closed. We are heartbroken. So many important life moments happened for our family while we were either celebrating a promotion with wontons and sesame chicken or being comforted after a loss by the healing and hot egg drop soup. We will forever be grateful for the staff for being as kind and welcoming as the food was delicious. We truly love you. Thank you.“
“Surprisingly excellent food and variety for a very reasonable price. I enjoyed the seafood, prime rib, Mongolian BBQ, and variety of veggies. The meatloaf was tasty I don't eat sushi, but there is a large sushi bar. I also don't eat desserts, but there was hard as well as soft serve ice cream, a chocolate fountain, cotton candy and a variety of other things. I would definitely visit this again if I was in the area!“
“They’ve been here for YEEEAAARRRSSS! And I only know about them from my mom, she use to bring us here since they first opened. But now my mom is no longer here with us but we(my husband and I)come here at least once a week and they have never disappointed! My husband is from San Francisco and he said since being in Utah this is by far the best Chinese “fast food” spot he’s been to. Big portions and the workers are super nice and friendly especially the lady that’s usually always there. My favorite is the rice noodles and their orange chicken is?“
“This is a definite, come as you are, kind of place. You see big families laughing and joking, you can totally be yourself. My daughter and I had been down by the creek all day and we had some mud on our clothes, lol, and yet we fit right in at the King Buffet! The food is fantastic! It's exactly what you want when you go to a Chinese buffet! They have a little bit of everything, a little bit of American, lots of Chinese food, and it's all hot, fresh, and tasty!“
“One of the best viet spots in SLC, never had a bad meal here and even friends from our of town love it. Menu is very extensive with so many options to choose from. My favorites are the roast chicken (fried basically) egg noodles soup, wonton and cha siu egg noodles soup, and combination rice dish are all great. The sweet and savory mini pancake shrimp with coconut milk is really good and not found in many places. Def recommend when in the area, with many other food and dessert options in the chinatown supermarket complex.“
“Great experience. Traveling from Texas and stopped in this hidden gem.We ordered the Tai Chien chicken and Beef Pho with pork spring rolls.I have never had such wonderful asian food in my life.I only hope i will find Tai Chien that tastes this good again but likly won't.The dark red/brown siracha sauce is more of a sweet heat flavor fyi. Very delicious on the rice and wonton chips! You won't be disappointed here.“
“This place was everything we hoped it would be. Our family dined there for lunch today and the food was incredible. Having lived in Taiwan, this is the food I miss the most. The dishes were truly authentic and really hit the spot. The service was excellent as well. Can’t wait to go back to this spot again. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Taiwanese food.Vegetarian options: Ask your server if you are uncertain about a dish. There were a lot of vegetarian options.“
“This is basically a takeout place, but there are a few places to sit. Not for large groups to dine in, somewhat spartan. As far as takeout goes however, it's a charming family run buisness. They only have tofu on two dishes, when I asked they were unable to add to any other dish but they did have no meat or vegetable options. Lots of other options, and made fresh and hot. I'm a bit of a wuss, and the dish I tried marked spicey on the menu was too hot for me.Vegetarian options: They are not clearly labeled, but they do have dishes that can be made vegetarian.Parking: Easy to parkKid-friendliness: My kids were fine here, but there is not anything special geared to kids. Bring their entertainment.“
“It's good, cheap Chinese food. There's nothing fancy about it, but the vegetables were cooked perfectly and the food was hot. I got the Mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken combo with ham fried rice. The Mongolian chicken was perfectly spicy and the sweet and sour chicken was delicious. The rice wasn't bad, but it didn't seem like there was a ton of effort put into it.It's not somewhere I would travel real far for, but I'm glad I found a local Chinese place I like.“
“First impression: dog bowls. LOL. My husband and I came in for lunch without any idea what to expect. This place has a different twist in their noodles: you order a dish, then get served a tray of "ingredients" (or toppings?!) + a noodles bowl (no broth) + a big boiling broth bowl. The broth bowl, which is where you dump everything in to eat out of, was what we thought looked like a dog bowl lol. The portion of noodles are quite big. And the soup was very flavorful. Typical nonchalant Asian style service. Big dining area. Overall a good meal!“
