“The food was amazing and this says a lot because I don't usually eat tacos. The cashier was very friendly, and the restaurant was tastefully decorated and clean. The food came out promptly and everything was piping hot. The beef ramen was DA BOMB! We will definitely return again the next time we're in Ogden UT.“
“Small place, big flavors. They don’t play here, had some huevos rancheros and the menudo. Feels like walking into my mom’s kitchen, I even started getting flashbacks of the chancla and my mom yelling at me to get out of the way. Stop by, no regrets.“
“We ordered their "House special" 3 Birrah Tacos con cosome pa sopiar? ? ? and let me tell you, they definitely know what they are doing!! Y tabien se me antojo un taco de asada y pues mas que rico, todo estuvo para chuparse Los dedos!!STOP DONT THROW AWAY THE SOOP FOR DIPPING!! put some lime and get a spoon, finish it up thers meet in there!! ?❤️?❤️?“
“This place was amazing. The Biria Pizza was awesome and had a ton of condiment selections to pick from at the condiments bar. Fed 4 people for not a ton of money and was one of the best Mexican dishes i've ever had.Lots of Latin style drink options like Jarritos and smoothies to pick from.Parking kinda sucks, plan out your route using the satelite view to understand how this place works.Dietary restrictions: May be hard to get non cross contaminated food here. I believe they can withhold certain parts of the recipe for you.Parking: Park on the street or in the back. Watch out for the parking signs.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly options to pick from.Wheelchair accessibility: May be tight but you should be able to fit.“
“honestly this place is a five start, it's a family bussines restaurant, the food it's amazing, everything tates homemade ?...if you want to try something really Mexican give a try, this is not Mexican american place, so just try and be the “
“At first I thought I was in a McDonald's in Mexico. Not a taco bell, the tables looked like any other ff place, just with Mexican decorations. Once I got past that, I went to the counter, ordered one of the meals from the wall, 4 steak Street tacos and beans_rice. It was yummy! I had never had tres leches cake before, it was also good.“
“This is the best little Mexican place in the Ogden/Riverdale area, for my money. The food is fantastic, especially the carne asada. The street taco special plate is outstanding, and the chulavista nachos are amazing. Great food, reasonable prices, excellent service. It's a regular lunch stop for me.“
“Don't expect anything more than a glorified indoor taco cart, plastic utensils, plates, patched walls, and leaky sinks. This is my new favorite taco spot; they have all the meats I mean all of them and the flavor is beautifully simple; that's the draw for me the salsa in the salsa cart was just as flavorful and adds to the simplistic nature, I tried to get one of each taco, but there are too many I couldn't find my favorite they were all so so good, I can't wait to get back to try the rest, I did have a torta, and wow the bread was not too much it was just right it had a great texture. The flavor was on point, the staff was so friendly and had the best smile, and the ambiance was clean where it mattered. Bottom line, if you like tacos and can appreciate what this is, it will be your favorite.“
“My favorite place for tacos in Ogden. The service is quick, the owners are great people and the food is delicious. The best place in Ogden for tacos without a doubt! The service is fast, the owners are good people and the food is very delicious.“
“When I have extreme cravings for chilaquiles I go here. I love the choices of meat that you can put on top and you can get eggs and you can get red or green sauce. Everything was packed with flavor. The two salsas those were actually tasty the red one was very picoso. The chile relleno the sauce had so much flavor. And nothing was cold. The bisteak was seasoned perfectly it tasted so bomb. The egg and the chilaquiles complimented each other, the sauce I couldn't get enough of it. The rice and beans even had flavor. Everything was packaged nice and neat. These pictures do not do the food Justice at all. Was a very nice comfort food late lunch. I don't eat here as often as I like but when I do I have a good experience.“
“4 Stars. The chips and salsa were great. The service was wonderful. The restaurant was cozy and cute. I ordered the Swiss Enchiladas and they were delicioso. My wife got Ray's Tostada. We were not impressed with that one. The pork tasted more like Tuna fish.We would definitely go back and try something else.“
“Food and service are great. Unfortunately, they don't have a good exhaust hood .. so you will stink as a tacos after dining in. It's definitely too smoky in the restaurant. I hope they will upgrade their kitchen because the food is delicious. Take out is better“
“Don’t let this “scary looking restaurant” scare you away. We usually get street tacos from the street cart on 26th and Washington Blvd. Lately no one there. So, we decided to give this company a try. WOW! YUMMMMY!While it may not be the prettiest place to dine at or (take out in my case) the service was was amazing, and their little tacos were packed with flavor. We purchased 5 different ones and were impressed with all 5 of the meats we chose. They definitely earned our repeat business. Our new favorite local street tacos.Tacos La Tapatia - thank you for being in business. You really are a hidden gem. Those tacos were amazing. We could literally taste the love you put into your food. See you again soon! Muchas Gracias por todo! Nos AMOS los tacos muchismo!“
“Loved this place and loved the street tacos! I usually get carnitas and asada. Better than average carnitas and above average asada! Would just get asada next time. 2 different kinds of red and green sauce. All the fixings you could want. Small market inside as well. Every day from 3 PM to 8 PM (close) they do 4 street tacos and a drink for $10. Nice lady who took our order. This will be our new street taco go-to location since it is near our home.“
“Got the birria burrito, chicken burrito and their nachos. Was satisfied with everything! The rice is delicious. 2 complaints, the red sauce is EXTREMELY spicy! 15 minutes later and my husbands mouth including mine is still on fire. The birria sauce is super watery.Regardless, we will return.“
“Was skeptical when I first walked in as it was just after noon and I was the only one there - needless to say I was seated right away - the waitress was very helpful in explaining items on the menu and telling me what dishes are popular (as this was my first time here) - their chips are really good, have had better salsa, but my lunch was really yummy - I had the chile relleno and enchilada plate - definetly would frequent this place if it was closer to where I live (and if I go to ogden frequently, but I don't) - still skeptical of why it was empty !“
“The tacos were delicious and the service was pretty fast. We walked in right as they opened and ordered two plates and four tacos to go. Everything was packaged nicely, and the food was still hot and fresh when we ate it. It came with some green semi-spicy salsa on the side. We ended up spending around $30 for three people.“
“Authentic Flavors with a Side of Patience: El Paisa Grill, Ogden, UtahMy recent visit to El Paisa Grill in Ogden, Utah, was a delightful immersion into authentic Mexican cuisine, though not without its challenges. The star of the show is undoubtedly their signature dish, the Molcajete Supreme, a culinary masterpiece cooked in volcanic rock. Featuring a tantalizing mix of shrimp, chicken, steak, Mexican cheese, and an exquisite tomatillo sauce, all grilled with onions, this dish alone makes the visit worthwhile. It's easily the best Mexican food I've ever had, bursting with flavors and cooked to perfection. The staff at El Paisa Grill was friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. However, the popularity of the place meant a crowded dining area upon our arrival. The wait time was significant – 30 minutes just to be seated and about an hour for the food to arrive. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable enough to merit a five-star rating. An added bonus was visiting on karaoke night, which brought a lively and fun element to the evening. The live music and the chance to participate in singing added to the vibrant ambiance of the restaurant. The place is also kid-friendly, making it a great option for family outings.Another highlight is their all-you-can-eat taco buffet available Mondays through Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering a variety of choices for taco enthusiasts. The chips and salsa were also notably tasty. The owner, Jose, brings a personal touch to the restaurant. His passion for his heritage and the story behind the Molcajete Supreme, originating from Jalisco, Mexico, adds depth and authenticity to the dining experience. In conclusion, El Paisa Grill has quickly become one of our favorite local restaurants, and we plan on being regular visitors. Despite the wait times, the quality of the food, the fun atmosphere, and the genuine passion of the owner make it a must-visit spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine in Ogden.Parking: Plenty of parking but it should be repavedKid-friendliness: Great place for kids“
“We love good Mexican food and this is a top one for us. Really good people and really good food. I grew up in Ogden and just recently found this amazing food and will be returning again. And for the people who have gave them bad reviews, those people just don’t have good taste.“
“This restaurant really is about the great food when it comes down to its authenticity with street style tacos, the music, environment is like very welcoming once you're inside and the amazing choices of veggies, salsa and drinks can not be beaten, taco Tuesday is great too at 2 for 1.75$ , I highly suggest their asada and al pastor tacos with their guacamole and green salsa and don't forget the Mexican imported cokes!!!“
“The best place in Utah for authentic Mexican style chicken and rice (pollo con arroz) or just a quick simple but crazy delicious meal. That guy that said pollo loco is better is most likely not used to authentic food :) We get the quarter chicken and 3 tacos and share. I will pay anything for that green sauce too, best jalapeño salsa I’ve ever had! This place is incredible!“
“Very kind staff. Very clean. The food hit home. I'm from Texas and my parents are from Mexico. The food was delicious. I had the coctel de camaron. Both the tostadas and coctel are super fresh and tasty. My fiancee had the enchiladas. Delicious. Also had an asada taco and the meat was marinated perfectly. Will definitely be going back soon.“
“Love this little Mexican restaurant. It's got a TON of atmosphere, and the service is so friendly, and recommendations are spot on, fantastic!Had the pastor quesadilla fajitas. So, so so good ? ?. Will be coming back to try more food for sure.Vegetarian options: Has a pretty good veggie menuParking: Parking at the front of the restaurant and front door is easy to get toWheelchair accessibility: Large ramp to the front door“
